The car was towed from my mechanic to Sherif. The tow truck driver asked, "Are we towing it the Mercedes -Benz mechanic on La Brea and Centinela, because that guy is really good with these cars! The customers always give us good reports about that shop!" Upon meeting Sherif, he asked me to bring him the other original fob key even if they're not working. (I had 3 fob keys; 2 had stopped working after going through the washer/dryer by accident and the dealer charged $200 per fob.) That afternoon, he diagnosed the issue -- fuse box and struts had to be replaced. I gave him the greenlight and it was ready the next afternoon, along with the fob keys working again! He gave me a deal! Here's another important part of my experience: When I mentioned I will bring my BMW to him for service, he responded with, "No, I do not want to take away business from your mechanic." Business ethics and integrity. Much respect! Thank you to Sherif and his team for the fast and quality service, and discount. I love that business owners like him and my mechanic care about the customer and their craft.

I carefully drove the 1.5 miles to the shop, and as soon as I pulled into the parking lot, Alex greeted me and asked if I needed help with a tire. He immediately got to work, removed the tire, and quickly found a tear that unfortunately couldn't be repaired. Within minutes, he found a used tire that fit my car perfectly and had it installed in under 20 minutes from the time I arrived. The total cost was a flat $60 for everything. Repairs included a fuel pump, tune up, brakes, and attempts to address the idle code, but the truck continued having low power, stalling, and check engine light issues. After continuing to experience problems, I decided to get another opinion and returned to my previous mechanic at Al's Auto Repair. They rescanned the vehicle and identified a cylinder 5 misfire along with the idle issue, and provided a clearer diagnostic explanation and repair direction. I appreciate the work that was done previously, but I do wish the root issue had been identified sooner, as it resulted in repeated visits and additional stress trying to figure out why the truck continued breaking down.

I'm never afraid that I'm going to be a charged out of my range because he is open and upfront with everything that's going on. I even go there for my smog checks when necessary. Very organized, efficient, and clean. The bays are the cleanest and neatest I've ever seen. Choi remains busy and gets the job done quickly. It's as though he actually loves what he does and takes pride in his work. The waiting room is cozy, has television, WiFi, a variety of drinks from coffee to soda, and has a heater and air conditioning for patrons to set at their convenience.
