Reasonably priced food and drinks. This place a a step above a taco shop. They accept cards which is a plus when you don't have cash. Parking is easy but gets busy during lunch. I go with their carne asada tacos - dine in or take out. Sometimes I'm forced to take my food to go as they only have about 10 dining tables. I'll be back for sure. read more

We waited to be seated for 20 minutes to be acknowledged with an empty table in the patio and all tables indoors unoccupied. The waitress was obviously stressed and was the only employee observed. Finally we were seated and then waited another 20 minutes to be waited on, no apology for the wait from the waitress. Finally a new waitress came on duty and was very attentive and courteous. We placed our order and the steak I ordered medium rare was delivered medium well, received a second steak rare. I was done. What has happened to this business? The lack of staff and attention to orders is not acceptable. We have been here many times and enjoyed the experience and food here, but after this experience will not be returning. Sad. read more

I'm embarrassed to admit how many times a week we eat here. However, once I get a few sips into my Cadillac margarita and I can forgive myself for not cooking at home like a proper adult and the party starts all over again. If you think this place is expensive you're absolutely mental. The food/drinks are reasonably priced and the portions are gargantuan. Disagree? Try living in the Bay Area and paying $100 for absolute slop that turns your b-hole into the eye of Sauron. Doesn't matter what I get at Estrella's I leave fat and (buzzed) happy. Sure... all my plans for the day are replaced by a burrito induced coma but naps are awesome so... yeah. The staff are hands down the best part of this place. I've seen them handle some absolute dongs for customers and they never break; always smiling and bending over backwards to make sure everyone is having a good time. We recently moved to Fallbrook and while we haven't really had a bad experience anywhere, this is became our spot immediately. Can't recommend it enough! read more

I want to like this place so much, however, each time they continue to disappoint. This time I felt not only were the servers rude but the food had zero flavor. They have this arrogant attitude, very "oh well, can't help ya" style. Soda-completely flat, "oh well, water it is!" Then made our order with the wrong meat, "oh well", you are good with flavorless carne asada instead of carnitas right? It was frustrating to say the least. Next time we are tempted by the cute ambiance we will pass and go for either Rosas where the food has flavor and they actually want your business, or Z South where the food is exceptional and the service is top notch, not to mention the prices and ambience are great!!! read more

My wife and I came here for the first time tonite and we were not disappointed. We decided to sit at the bar and it was a great choice as the bartender provided us excellent service the whole time, made some amazing drinks and was very attentive. Been here a few times, usually dine in but this past weekend we ordered to go. The service was good too really fast and easy pickup and staff was very friendly . We ordered 2 Chicken enchiladas with rice and beans, 4 chicken sopes, and 1 chipotle chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. Everything was really delicious. I did notice it was a little pricier this time, charged $4 extra for adding the chicken on the sopes, we paid $60 for our order which did not include drinks. Yikes !!! read more

Great Mexican food, absolutely loved the sope with carnitas, chicken enchiladas and shredded beef tacos. Everything was fresh, delicious, tender, and the portions were huge. The taco was on a bed of lettuce. The house salsa was really good and for chips they even gave a variety of regular tortilla and the puffy kind (dunno what that's called). I asked for serranos on the side and they brought those grilled and seasoned. I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area. read more

We always have amazing service here! My sons and I love the food and they do accommodate if you want to switch things out I just sometimes want a salad instead of the beans and rice, and they do accommodate. I would say the most amazing dish is the bacon wrapped shrimp. read more

I have been coming here since I was a kid. As an adult I miss this place! I now live out of state so I plan to come here when I'm back in California. The food is always so flipping good. There is a reason people come here from all areas of California. They have these chips that are fried and delicious mixed with regular corn chips. They are always served warm with fresh salsa. The servers are always nice and very attentive. The place is always clean and they recently redid the entire interior. It looks completely different from when I went as a kid but I like it! I love the food at Estrella's . I always eat outside but went with gal pals who insisted on earring inside . Disappointed ! We were placed in no man's table back by kitchen door ! I wouldn't sit there again ! Drinks were so so and so was the food and service . I will go back without my friends next time and eat outside . Servers are better and more attentive outside . Went for dinner on taco Tuesday and all I can say is that the food was bland at best. Spicy without flavor. The street tacos were terrible as were all our dishes. Just no flavor in anything other than the chips and salsa. Oh and do NOT order a large margarita, the OMG size is beyond weak. Paid a lot for what was a basic margarita with little alcohol. Service was great and friendly. If you just want to have chips and salsa I'd say go for it. Otherwise stay away as the food was not on par with a bad taco truck. Unfortunately as we wanted to love the food. We won't be back and we really do want to support local businesses. Shame really read more

On Saturday, 3/29/2025, my husband and I had an early dinner and drinks. My drink did not taste good and I tried to get a bartender nicknamed "El Goto" to remake it. The drink tasted like ice and chamoy and not enough mango. This Bartender refused and said there was nothing wrong with the drink. He seemed to have taken it personally. This bartender is about 5'2" with a cross tattoo on his neck, toothless, and rude. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told there was no manager. My husband asked if another bartender, if she could make the mangonada, she said she could not because she was afraid he would quit and she would have to stay and work a double shift. When we got up to leave she offered to make a new drink if we would stay. We shouldn't have stayed because this bartender kept walking by and taunting my husband acting like a punk. Terrible experience and we will never go back. read more

My bf and I stopped here after a great hike locally. We were craving for fish tacos and this place hit the spot! We got fish and shrimp tacos. They are pricey for a price of $5 each but they are also huge! The shrimp tacos has almost like a lobster sauce in it, which was delicious! They are very generous with the amount of fish and shrimps in their tacos! Staff all wore mask and you can't really enter the inside unless you're dining in their outdoor seating, and you need to be called to entered. They space you out outside to order food and waiting to be called for outdoor seating. We got food Togo so I can't tell you how was the dining at their outdoor area. However, the wait for the food Togo and it also seemed the wait for their outdoor seating were quite long.. I think we waited about half an hour for the 4 tacos.... That is the only downside. We got the tacos to go to eat at a park but let me tell you, seems like Fallbrook doesn't have one green grass public park! We looked up 3 public parks that looked all green on our maps but once we got there, it was all brown dead grass and looked deserted. We ended up back at a small park that was part of an elementary school. I think this is THE ONLY green park in this town.. Quite hilarious and something like a scene form Schitt's Creek's episode! read more

They charge the correct amount for what you get, but consistently miss additional or special requests wether there is a charge or not. Always check your receipt. 8 ounces of guacamole is not enough for 4 burritos and chips. Though at least I didn't pay for more ad they helpfully pointed out on the phone. read more
