I went back recently to give her another chance since my last review was 3 years ago. OMGGGGG. STILL HORIBBLE. Nothing has changed. Still unprepared, loud noise on the other side of the door, talk talk talk, the real facial part only lasts 15 mins MAX, not thorough, banging and dropping things on the ground. I was more stressed being there than when I walked in. Don't spend $150-$250+ on a "facial" where you sit there and she just tap tap tap done. Don't even bother with the 5 star reviews. Eternal Glow Aesthetics is a humble spa built in Laurie's home. Laurie is the esthetician (...owner, manager, creator, everyone in one!). It's kept cozy and clean. She offers many services, and it would benefit you to look into all of them. She's lively, energetic, and incredibly enthusiastic about what she does. Although she may sometimes be a product junkie herself, she is definitely never a product imposer on others! The only thing that she forces on you is sunscreen. Thank her for it though, because sunscreen is so important but generally neglected. I go to her for the hydrofacial and microdermabrasion combo. This procedure is usually an hour long, and feels like she's hyper-vacuuming all of your dead skin cells off of your face. It's interesting, and in it's own weird way--fun. Again, try it. Of all my favorite services/products from Laurie, it's got to be her Blinc mascara. It's a magical product of chemistry, I tell you. The best mascara I've ever purchased. I initially went to see her for a hydrafacial. When I got there she told me that it would be best if I got a peel because I would see the results I was looking for. She said she would do the facial if that's what I wanted but I ended up going with the peel and she was right. She also recommended a face wash for my acne. I was hesitant because I had just purchased the whole set from Rodan & Fields. She told me that that set was too expensive and that I should really try hers but no pressure. I ended up buying it and I'm so glad I did. My neck cleared up so fast and now I'm sitting on all this Rodan & Fields product. I look forward to returning for micro-needling. read more

I have been meaning to write this review for the last 9 months. I first came to Laurie after I moved to San Jose. I had so many complaints about my face and my skin and was stressed about being in a new place. I called her after reading her yelp reviews to get an idea of what she would recommend for me. I wound up getting a light peel and let me tell you, my skin was glowing. I stopped wearing makeup for a while because my skin looked so great! I didn't get a zit for 3-4 months and thought I was invincible. I then started trying new treatments with Laurie. We did Microdermabraision and the Hydro Massage. I also tried Micro Needling. My face had never looked better! It was all terrific but my skin is so sensitive I decided to go back to the light Chem peel to keep the acne away. :) Laurie is so easy to trust. I've only known her for 9 months now but I trust her more than my hair dresser that I've been going to for 10 years. I could give up every other beauty treatment in my life but not Laurie. She is a diamond in the rough and one of my favorite people in San Jose. I'm blown away by "Ming Z" and her review. Laurie is wonderful and makes me feel at home. She doesn't let me waste my money and she doesn't let people tip her even though she deserves 50%. She works with my budget and has really helped my face. I tell her my problems and she fixes them! Usually for much cheaper than my other solutions! She also got me to stop tanning and to start getting spray tans! I'm so thankful for that. She always gives me random health tips and tricks to remove hair and cellulite. I feel like she always looks out for my best interests and in San Jose that's very rare to find. I keep telling her I'm going to get a standing appointment with her haha -- it's first on my to-do list with my new raise. I'm giving Eternal Glow Aesthetics a 5 star because it's the whole enchilada...No...No... Laurie does not sell enchiladas..LOL But she DOES provide an overall great spa experience. I love my Hydrafacials, Diamond Tip Microdermabration and AfA Chemical peels....all at super competitive prices. Not only do you get very personalized service, but Laurie has been in this industry a while and knows what she is talking about. I had my first microdermabrasion at this place over a month ago until now my feels good and look great. And she will tell you how to really take care of you skin specially using the right sunscreen. For all the years that me and my husband are using face sunscreen all we know are just the number of SPF and She gave me all the knowledge about what should be looking for the right ingredients of the sunscreen. It was around 11 in the morning when I called several microdermabrasion places in yelp and none of them answered or called me back but Laurie. She was very nice and very accomodating on the phone with a little bit of preconsultation about your skin and your procedure. I wasn't sure yet when to have it done but she told me that I could simply txt her back when decided. I have a little bit deeper pit marks from my acne/pimples over the years since Ive had it when I was in grade 5, 13 years ago. Ive tried almost everything but got really disappointed. First and foremost, Laurie is such a welcoming individual. She is really knowledgeable when it comes to skincare and also provides tips on what you should be doing to take care of your skin / maintain it. Terrible service. I purchased groupon deal for microdermabrasion service. I made an appointment one week in advance and I was there on time. The lady told me I am not qualified to do the treatment and wanted me to return the groupon deal because my face was a bit pink and disqualified, but I was just got out of my car after driving 16 miles and it was 80s degrees outside. I was sweaty. When I was filling out the information, she only wanna talk about sunscreen the whole time and nothing else. Those knowledge she knows, I have already known many many years ago. After she knew I know everything she knows, she just asked me to leave and ask me to return the deal from groupon. I took half day off from work just for the treatment and I drove 16 miles all the way there to just listen to her talking about old knowledge stuff. I purchased my sunscreen from dermatologist. she just told me everything I use is not good enough. She is not a dermatologist nor a doctor. she just wanna talk about the sunscreen. I really don't know what the purpose was. this is the worse experience ever. When I called groupon for refund, they agreed right away so I realized, I am not the only one who had the bad experience. Must be many people complained about it already so groupon is tired of dealing with it. If you wanna purchase the service from this lady, think about it twice. I love my skin care sessions with Laurie! She has been taking care of my skin for years! My last visit was to address my dull, flaky and otherwise lackluster skin. After listening to my concerns, looking at my skin, and talking about what my week ahead entailed, Laurie recommended a chemical peel. She explained the process, how within a couple of days my skin would start to flake and not look so good...she made sure I knew not to rub or scratch or pick or peel while I was going through the process. She also made sure I knew to call with any questions or if the itching was too much to handle on my own. It was the week before Easter and she assured me I would be fresh faced and back to happy in plenty of time and she was spot on! I cant't say it was easy peasy-I had itching and redness that wasn't too attractive-but by week's end, my skin looked fabulous! It's been a good month and I have gotten so many complements! Believe it or not, my husband went and saw Laurie first to have his teeth whitened. He was the one who insisted I set up an appointment with Laurie at Eternal Glow. I have battled with adult acne for a LONG time, so I went in for a hydrofacial. GREAT RESULTS! After looking at my skin type and my budget, Laurie recommended various makeup products, face lotions and even gave me free samples to try. I had been a faithful user of make-up from department stores, but after trying the sample given to me by Laurie, my acne has diminished DRASTICALLY and I will never use another foundation again.
