The white security guard was really rude and was threatening to call the cops for no reason. I'd give zero stars if I could. The gentleman at the door, a clever looking young man turned my husband and I away, stating that my identification was invalid (it's not). This is my go-to dive bar in Temecula! Whenever I come here for business, our group seems to always make it out here. And mostly because of the karaoke! Half of our team is pretty much tone deaf, but we don't let a little thing like musical talent stop us from saaaanging! HA! You might here the girls do an amazing "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and the boys do "Gangsta's Paradise" The other folks who come to sing are pretty good as well. The girls who run the karaoke (which starts at 9p) are the ones with the musical talent. They are amazing. Probably the classiest bar I've been to. Make sure you dress well or they will not let you in. The bar tenders and Maitre D's are the kindest you'll ever meet. I was bummed that this place wasn't as awesome as I had hoped. The karaoke dude is creepy beyond words- watch out ladies, he will be caressing you and trying to kiss you within minutes. A buddy of mine and I walked in last night for a couple of drinks. We waited for 5 min, while being stared at from across the room at the billiards area, for service.. Then finally are greeted with a "what do you want?" Shrugged that one off and decided to purchase some credits on touch tunes juke box. Heard music going- and then they switched it off but left the box running- so I waisted 15 bucks on credits- planning on being there for a while, and there was nothing they could do about it. But they leave the machine on, and allow people to pay for credits for no music. Waisted credits on songs not playing because they hooked up music from a customers iPod to the speakers. Waited for another drink. No waitress in site. Went and played pinball. The machine was pretty good- that's where the 2 stars comes in. Went back to the bar and sat by my friend, we waited again for 5-10 minutes for service. No one. Finally waitress comes in, and we cash out because we realized this place has no care for customers. So we left, and even left a decent tip.. Only to not return. On our way out- the waitress was sitting outside with the security smoking a cigarette while people walked in, and they weren't greeted, there were no "have a good night" exchanged and we got in our ride and watched as we left, the waitress didn't budge, still smoking and talking while people were inside probably wondering where the service was. The Bar: Hard to find... there is no sign on the street and it's located in a strip mall. Kinda a weird set up out front, perhaps this location was once a liquor store. There is a taco dude at this location 6 days a week. Once inside, the room is long. L-shaped bar with around 30 bar stools and 2 service stations. Past the bar, there is a dance floor, where Karaoke takes place, a few table, a shuffleboard and 2 pool tables. I usually try to avoid bars that host Karaoke, but this wasn't so bad. It isn't obnoxiously loud, and the people actually knew how to sing. The bar is cluttered with dollar bills. Feel free to add your own, just ask the bartender for a sharpie and a staple gun, you provide the dollar. You can put it ANYWHERE in the bar. Look for ours... it has a DiveBar Culture sticker on in. The Crowd: We arrived shortly after 8pm to find a hand full of locals and a gorgeous bartender whose name is Tamra. Once Karaoke kicked in, the place started filling up rather quickly. Definitely a local spot, but chill spot for sure. Service: In the beginning it was quick, but as the night progressed and more patrons arrived, the slower the service got. The bar is quite long, and with one bartender on, it's quite a handful for her to handle. Prices: $11.50 pitchers of PBR. $6.75 for a rather large shot of Fireball. Entertainment: 6 TV's, TouchTunes Jukebox, Karaoke, 2 pool tables, Shuffleboard, Golden Tee, Lottery Scratchers. Restroom: Fabulous. Smelled good too. Very clean the entire night. Closing statement: I recommend getting here around 10pm. Make it your ending bar. We had a great time. This is the local spot for my friends that I was visiting, so I am sure I will be back here again. I was told this is the best dive bar in Temecula, we hit 3 bars tonight and this was by far the best one. I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area. read more
