First time eating here, but definitely won't be the last! The food was PHENOMENAL! All the staff were so friendly. My husband made reservations for our 9 yr wedding anniversary, they left a rose and card at the table, so beyond touching. The Patelitos & Corn Soufflé were some of the best food we've ever eaten!

My husband and I really enjoyed spending our Valentine's Day 2026 dinner at Sabor & Sazon. The restaurant was packed, as expected, but we did not have to wait when we arrived as we already had a reservation. The dining and bar area is in one large open space, so it was loud and lively. The restaurant is mostly made up of moveable tables and chairs, however one wall has banquet table seating. The hardwood floors, flat walls, and high ceiling with minimal sound absorption panels really created a loud space (not a quiet and intimate night). The service was wonderful. We were welcomed promptly by our server and the assistant waiter brought bread & butter immediately after the welcome. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband had a lovely cocktail. We started with the Grilled Calamari - a delicious medley of scallops, shrimp, and calamari. Then we mixed to the savory Rack of Lamb - lamb with a red wine sauce and served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. And then we ended the evening with the decadent Tarta de Chocolate that was accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream - a must order. During the evening, the son of Chef Jorge introduced himself and checked in on our experience - such a nice young man. I also believe another one is Chef Jorge's children was also working that evening in the restaurant. We enjoyed this lively Valentine's Day dinner. Save room for the Tarta de Chocolate.

Wow!! Staff and food were absolutely incredible. We were guests of a local winery and was blown away by our entire experience. I want to come back.

We started our weekend trip here at Sabor & Sazon and it was incredible. We arrived at 7:45pm for Friday night dinner. We were greeted and seated I immediately. I'm not going to lie, because of the name and having paella on the menu, I was expecting more Spanish food on the menu and less Italian. We ordered the paella and the squid ink pasta special. The paella had so much seafood and tasted great. The grains of rice used did make the paella a bit mushier than authentic paella but that's asking a lot for Paso Robles. The squid ink pasta I wish was in their regular menu it was creamy and loaded with shrimp. The pasta had a very good bite to it. For the rest on the weekend, when we mentioned this restaurant to the locals everyone said it was their favorite restaurant in Paso!

Yelp suggested Sabor & Sazón. And then our tasting guide at Serial, Sean, suggested it as well. And both were remarkably accurate. We had the grilled calamari as suggested as well as the shrimp pasta (I forget the actual name). They were both excellent and without peer. Service was outstanding from reservation to dinner. Mahalo nui.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night! Would recommend making a reservation because it can get pretty busy here. We made reservation at 8:15 but ended up joining waitlist for 7:30 instead and got bar seating which we highly recommend! The bartender and our waiter, Albany was amazing! He was so fun and nice. Me and my friend shared the grilled calamari and a seafood paella. They served bread with this amazing dip; not sure what it was but it was soooo good - flavorful and creamy! The grilled calamari was seriously delicious and we killed the dish. The calamari was so tender and flavored to perfection. They had generous amounts over arugula for a warm salad like dish. The complimentary bread was amazing dipped in the sauce too. The seafood paella was also so good. Slight char at bottom with the perfect texture and flavors. Super hearty and seafood forward; tasted like the ocean lol (in a good way). Albany was so nice and gave us a flan dessert on the house because my friend kept asking him what every dessert was when the kitchen brought it out haha. He was so nice and let us hit our sweet cravings despite us being so stuffed to order some ourselves lol Will definitely come again and try their pasta dishes next time. Loved the entire experience here.

Ossobuco with risotto was the best I've had!

We did a walk-in on a Sunday evening and we were seated no problem. After a busy weekend I wanted some comfort food so I ordered the osso buco with risotto and it was fantastic! Perfectly balanced and prepared and the risotto was excellent with it. It was the best ossobuco I've ever had. The barramundi was also great. Service has always been top notch. Thank you Sabor & Sazon!

The lobster ravioli was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful filling that really stood out. The corn soufflé was just as amazing, light, slightly sweet, and the perfect complement to the meal. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The ambiance was so cute and cozy, especially being right in Paso Robles' downtown area. It made for such a great dining experience and a perfect spot for a nice meal out. What really made the visit even better was the customer service. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, such a wonderful experience with amazing food, great service, and a charming atmosphere. I would definitely come back again!

We came in as a group of four last minute on a Sunday that happened to be Father's Day. We called ahead about 15 minutes and they were able to give us a reservation. They had some awesome specials, including a portion of a tomahawk for Father's Day and eat pasta, which is not my favorite so we skipped it. We did the Italian empanada, which honestly was more Brazilian or Mexican so not super excited about that. However, my husband ordered the pork chop, and the three of us had different types of pasta. They were amazing and the noodles were fresh meat and yet all three of our pastas tasted completely different. Absolutely recommend. They also gave us a interesting tomato almond paste to go with our bread when we started, which was also great. We ordered the crème brûlée and to say I'm picky about it is an understatement. We ate the whole thing and did not have to send it back. Can't wait to come back and try something different.

We visited here on 02/14/2026 at 8pm for a party of two. This was our first time at this restaurant. The restaurant is casual; however, yet classy at the same time. It is on the smaller side; however, holds quite a few people. We arrived about 20 minutes earlier than our reservation and the host made sure that she was able to accommodate our request and seat us early. Our server was very friendly, and one of the owners even made an appearance and made sure everything was going smoothly. We decided to share the Grilled Calamari and the Rack of Lamb. Both were quite good. For dessert, we shared the Tarte de Chocolate, which was excellent and we thought was the highlight of the meal. Overall, a 4 to 5 out of 5 experience, and we would return again in the future.

Portion size was perfect too, not so much that you're stuffed but enough that you actually feel satisfied. Service was flawless. Only downside was our reservation put us on the outdoor patio and it was a little chilly for my taste, so I was a bit bummed we weren't seated inside. Instead of being seated, we were told to come back in 20 minutes. When we returned, we were then told it would be another 25 minutes. At that point, it became clear that the reservation system meant very little. What made the situation worse was the lack of any proper waiting area. There was no lobby, no comfortable place to stand, and no bar seating available while guests waited. The dining room also looked extremely crowded, with tables placed very close together, which did not create a relaxing or upscale dining atmosphere. The front-desk experience was also poor. The host seemed very young and inexperienced, and there was little sense of professionalism, apology, or customer service. When a restaurant is running that far behind, especially for guests with a reservation, the staff should be trained to communicate clearly, apologize properly, and offer some kind of solution. For a restaurant that presents itself as a nice Paso Robles dining destination, the experience felt disorganized, overcrowded, and poorly managed. Making a reservation weeks ahead should mean something. Instead, we were left waiting with no real hospitality and no confidence that we would be seated anytime soon. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Il Cortile Ristorante, especially if you are planning a special dinner, visiting from out of town, or relying on a reservation.

I had my eye on the lamb shank ahead of time, and it turned out to be perfection--easily the standout dish of the night. I've dined at many great restaurants, and they truly executed it beautifully. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere (something I always pay attention to). Service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. It's now at the top of my Paso Robles restaurant list, and we'll definitely be back. We belong to a couple of wine clubs in the area, so this will be a regular stop for us--especially for that lamb shank. Parking was easy, it wasn't too busy during our visit, and reservations can be made online without hassle. He apologized my bad experience and offered me a refund of my bill but also asked me to return so that they could make it right. After discussing the offer with my wife we decided to return and give Etto another chance. I called Mr. Leduc and made a reservation for the day after Father's Day, hoping to avoid the crowds. When we arrived the place was packed but we were seated promptly at our Reserved table and almost immediately greeted by our server Ellen who promptly told us about the specials and took our drink orders. Ellen returned promptly and asked if we had any questions. My wife mentioned she would like to order the chicken fried pork chop served with a lemon-arugula/olive oil sauce but that she was allergic to lemons. Ellen said they could eliminate the lemon from the sauce which my wife agreed to. I ordered the Cioppino which came in servings for 1 or 2. I ordered the serving for 1 and imagine my surprise when it came in a large bowl which could easily feed 2. I was assured by Ellen that this was the 'small' service for 1. We also ordered the sausage, peppers and onion appetizer. All the dishes were delicious and we even had leftovers to bring home. Finally, our server Ellen and the manager (Scott?) urged us to try a dessert from their dessert tray. I ordered the pistachio cheesecake and my wife ordered the chocolate ganache (?) cake. Both were excellent. Overall, my wife and I agreed that the service and food were exceptional and the fact that they reached out to us to make up for our previous visit is more than we expected but show what great owners and management do to please their clientele.
