Such a Eugene treasure. We always bring visitors to town to the Market whenever we can. Amazing handmade items and a great atmosphere.

Opened in January 2021, the Market Alley is the newest addition to the 5th Street Public Market…read more Located in the heart of downtown Eugene, you'll find a collection of unique shops, dining, wine & spirit tasting experiences and more. The 200-foot long covered "Market Alley" is sandwiched between the three-story Market Building (commercial and retail space), the Gordon Lofts Apartments (retail facing the Market Alley) and the Gordon Hotel at the opposite end of the Alley (across from the original 5th Street Public Market area). The Market Alley section was uncrowded while I visited with a friend, even though the original Market area was packed. We were on the lookout for certain Pendleton products, so it was a good excuse to checkout the area while there. As a plus, Heritage Distilling Co. was offering free tastings. I was already familiar with their Dual Barrel (Vanilla) Bourbon Whiskey...the night before experimenting with various whiskeys and liquors mixed with eggnog...yes, whiskey goes great with eggnog! And you thought science wasn't fun ;-) It was nice to sample some of Heritage Distilling Co's other high quality spirits...all very good! So if you haven't been down to the Market Alley, I do recommend a visit.

The portion was aken to a half portion you'd get at any other place.. Food was from the Greek place in the food courts (Cafe Glendi?) - the one right next to the burger and Thai place. I'd skip because at $19 that salad was straight highway robbery. See pictures with a fork for size comparison. Also got a burger with fries from the burger spot. That was really good and the beer battered fries were amazing!
