Was a nice warm evening in the pacific northwest. We decided to take 5 kids to Checkpoint 221 and let them choose there food truck!!! Place was clean and not packed or to busy.. Everyone would of had Dessert if the A$$ truck would have been open. Oh well there loss for a family of seven this evening. read more

Nice selection of different food carts - Indian, Hawaiian, burgers, sushi, and more. Lots of choices. The outdoor seating area is clean and tables were readily available. The parking lot was easily accessed (just make sure to not park in the adjacent apartment building's parking area). The indoor seating area has a large selection of board games available to pass the time, including card decks, and has plenty of tables to sit at to play those games - or take them outside when it's sunny! The inside bar has a large selection of beers and ciders but alas, no coffee bar (I was craving an espresso drink for an afternoon pick-me-up). Restrooms are clean and easily accessed behind the bar. Staff is terribly rude. Venue is loud and the building is not clean. The parking is abysmal. Food trucks are good.

Multiple food trucks with different offerings. Shade provided on this hot day by the pub overhang. Nice place to have a lunch. I had the Iraqi chicken sandwich which was huge and flavorful. My husband had to help me eat it. Definitely worth stopping here. read more

Our first visit today and so happy we stopped! There are options to sit inside or out. We decided to sit indoors and really like the new building, bar and bathrooms. The only challenge we had was finding a place to park. Lots of beer choices on tap as well as wine, mixed drinks and sodas. The food truck options were amazing! Anything you may want. Our group ordered chicken curry and naan, vegetarian pasta and a chicken sandwich with fries. The service at every food truck was excellent as was the food. We will be back! read more

This was my first time trying this food truck at Checkpoint 221 and the smell coming out the window alone should convince you to eat here. Menu had a ton of tasty looking options but the chicken saj plate was the right call. Enough salad veggies to feel moderately healthy, enough fries to hit the spot and flatbread wrap with amazing sauce and tender chicken. It had 4 big pieces so I brought some home and even leftover it was a hit. Service was excellent as well, personable and pleasant. Highly recommend! read more

New, Clean, spacious with a decent variety of food carts. Just to be clear I don't enjoy writing bad reviews and truly don't intend to hurt a business but as a consumer I want to help others not waste their hard earned money or their time like I do from time to time. With that, this was my first time here and I'm sure I'll be back to try some of the other options but I will not be ordering from the Philly cheese steak cart. As you can see from the picture my Philly was loaded with,...... steak! Yea right. I pulled about half the onions off my sandwich after the first bite was a mouth full of onions, not the mention the mediocre bun and flavorless beef. I mean I don't think they used salt or pepper when they cooked it. Also the cheese was definitely not of the wiz variety which if I'm not mistaken that's what makes a Philly a Philly?? It was some flavorless white cheese in the shape of provolone but literally had no flavor. 14$ for 1.5oz of beef and half of a large grilled diced onion. I won't be doing that again and I would highly recommend you don't either. read more

This is probably one of the nicest food cart pods I've ever been to TBH. Mega spacious, well designed building with some nice touches (including a fireplace inside...like what!) Nice bar area with good options. Small heated seating area outside. Nicer bathrooms than many nice restaurants. Whoever designed/built this place did a heckuva job. Fairly good mix of food options. Girlfriend lives down the street so we pop in often. Forget the exact names of the carts but my 3 faves are the Iraqi (Middle Eastern), Thai, and Indian carts. Haven't tried any others. I'd give this a 4.5/5 for West Salem, but a 4 or maybe a 3.5 if in Portland as the food options/variety could be stronger IMO. read more

Sunday eve food trucks, about half of the trucks are closed. And all other ones are so busy, 30+ min waits. Trucks need to be open or replaced with others that stay open. read more

This food truck court and Pavilion are not ADA accessible and the Owners won't respond to my inquiries about having my amputee support group meeting here. The parking is inadequate so overflow goes to an unlit gravel lot where you walk the street of the inflow and outflow traffic so no sidewalks. The other option is to park on an adjacent public street but getting to the Pavilion from there is traveling down a steep hill behind parked cars that is also the only road for cars to go in and out of the public space. Or using a meandering gravel path. Overall, it's dangerous for many disabilities and small children, dogs and strollers. Be careful! read more

Newest food truck pod with indoor and outdoor seating (plenty of shade). Ive tried a few of the offerings with mixed results. There are limited vegetarian choices and except for The Salty Shack, which I do not recommend, there are no fish or shrimp choices if you are pescatarian. I had high hopes for The Salty Shack, but it is pricey for what you get and the clam chowder is just terrible. La Argentina has a very yummy Caprese empanada which I do recommend! Quesadilla Wizzards no longer has any vegetarian choices, which is a shame because I think they have quality ingredients and a good origin story, and cheesy veggie quesadillas are easy to make. Today I ordered a pesto and tomato grilled cheese and sweet potato fries from Carver's Diner - The fries were excellent, A+ fried to perfection, perfectly seasoned, and hot. I am definitely coming back for another order of these! The grilled cheese was less than expected, kinda soggy, kinda bland. Finally, cheers to the Checkpoint 221 bartender who was friendly and hard-working. read more

We stopped here while are Pup's were being groomed up the street. I got the Butter Chicken and my husband the Butter Beef from the India booth and both were delicious. The only take aways were no coffee at their inside beverage bar and not a napkin to be found anywhere. We'll definitely be back for the great food! read more

Grossest thing I've ever seen in traveling to 100 countries around the world. A couple had their 90 pound dog lying on top of the table eating off their plates - and to think the next people to eat at that table will be eating right where a dog had been. Not right!!! read more
