We chose a location away from the front entrance, which faces west towards the sun. Our food was quickly brought out to us less than 5 minutes later, and our soups were very good. They have a very spicy broth for their Hot Pot Noodle Soup, which P2 really enjoyed. I was also happy with my shoyu ramen, which I thought was seasoned perfectly. The music here wasn't loud and it was easy to carry a conversation. The interior aesthetics of this place reminded me of a Japanese restaurant, despite this restaurant servicing Taiwanese fare. Unfortunately, they don't sell alcohol here. I would have loved to drink a beer here with its solid vibes. I took off a star because of the blinding sunlight that pours into the space. Each time we came, we had to be strategic on where we sat so that we or our friends didn't have to face the sun. The way a diner has salt, pepper, ketchup, and Tabasco on the table, Ramen 512 offers togarashi, black pepper, rice vinegar, and chili oil -- exactly what a ramen shop should have. Since the broth was a bit light for my taste, I used the chili oil and pepper to dial it in. The noodles are thin and slightly soft, reminiscent of chūka soba. Not bad, but not my favorite style. The ajitsuke tamago (seasoned egg) is decent. The menma (bamboo shoots) were cut too thick. I ordered extra scallions but didn't get much. The chashu meat was chicken, which is fine. The internet isn't wrong -- this is authentic ramen, faithful to its roots. But it's also firmly mid. In Japan, ramen exists on a spectrum: there are bowls people line up hours for, and there are bowls you grab at an airport or a food court -- perfectly respectable, just unremarkable. FAST FACTS: * Parking - located in a shopping center with a large parking lot * Reservations - no but you put your name into a tablet when you arrive to join the queue if there's a wait * Online ordering - available for pickup on their website * Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays * Weekly specials available until sold out (check their Instagram or Facebook) SERVICE - We arrived at 6:35 pm on a Sunday and were 4th in line after joining the queue through the tablet. Our table was ready at 7:00 pm and one of the workers kept us updated about the status of our table several times while we waited. Once seated, there is a QR code on the table to scan and place your order. Our server brought water to the table right away and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we had what we needed. All of our food was prepared and delivered to the table about 10 minutes after ordering. I was incredibly impressed by the customer service! It is often what you serve on "cheap" night. Airport hotels offer it as the "free dinner" for tired travellers. The curry sauce itself here is standard issue. But they serve it with a Pork Katsu the size of Williamson county. And it is a very good Pork Katsu. That Katsu was good from Liberty Hill to Thrall and from Hester's Crossing to Jarrell. b) My carnivorous partner's Fireball Udon with Shellfish blew him away. Sometimes when this happens there is an ownership change (or there is an owner who swaps out the management and cooking team to put in new blood.) If your broiled meat on a stick is not $80 an ounce Wagyu, Or amazing organ meats grilled in the Caucasus Barded with lamb fat and with farm fresh vegetables On another skewer for serious taste contrast ... We opted for edamame to start, a few skewers of yakitori, and 2 lunch special bento boxes. We were amazed by the amount of food in the lunch bento boxes. On top of that, everything tasted fresh and was obviously freshly prepared. My salmon was way overcooked but the tasty teriyaki sauce made up for it. My go-to dish I order 90 percent of the time I go there is the Chadol Plate (A3). It is beef brisket. You normally need to go to a KBBQ spot and get covered in a layer of smoke. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4). The cold noodles are refreshing with crisp cucumber, white radish kimchi, and korean pear. The noodles are bouncy with a nice chew. Great in Summer and Winter. The Squid and pork stir fry comes with a bowl of rice and it is quite spicy. It is spicier than average but still less spicy than Thai chili. The chewy squid and pork are nicely complemented with the crunchy stir fried cabbage. Once you taste it you can't stop eating it. The price at Narrow Street very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. It is sit down restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting. You can dine solo or go in a big group as there is plenty of seating at the Hmart Food court. You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to alert you to go pick up your trays of food. The Korean ladies who work there are super friendly and will help you make your menu selection if you have any questions. I've been a dedicated regular since 2023. Narrow Street is my go-to for my Korean food fix!

My Yookgaejang was mild-ain't no other way of putting it. You can tell that the broth wasn't cooked with gochujang so you didn't get that rich, spicy flavor. Another visit I got the bibim naengmyun and it also just didn't quite get there. Just a little on the plainer side, not just talking about the lack of heat.
