The food was really good - We ordered the Back 2 Basic Ramen for our 9 year old who really enjoyed it (we had all the topping except the chashu on the side..), I and my spouse ordered Black Tonkotsu, which was good.. but we will ask for a little more heat the next time around.. Also on the list was the California roll for the kiddo, it was decent.. just a normal roll.. We also ordered the So Dang Good roll.. and it was just that.. and for good measure we tried the fried gyoza - it was decent as well. Customer service was ok - To be expected at an order at the register type of establishment.. I will say they cleaned the dishes from the table as we were finishing.. it just felt like they were rushing to get us out - I think it was more of a lets make sure they have elbow room - but it was just funny because they came every 30 seconds towards the last couple of minutes to clear the table.. just a little annoying. I walked in confused and was immediately greeted by smiling, helpful employees at the counter who helped me order. I was not feeling like ramen, but now I am determined to go back and get their ramen. Instead, I ordered the California Poke and a topo chico. It was heavenly. It was so much food I ate 60% of it for dinner and saved the other 40% in the refrigerator. Boom! Lunch for work the next day! Love it when things work out like that. this little restaurant is worth stopping by for the delicious, warm bowls of ramen. another good mention is the gyoza, which are so crispy and a great appetizer. i've had a couple sushi rolls as well - i'd recommend the rainbow roll for sure. this is a great place for an indulgent lunch or satisfying dinner. read more

I love supporting this type of restaurant because there aren't enough of them in the area. I loved the service and how efficient the staff is. There menu options gave us and our picky kids different options to choose from. We had the poke bowl, ramen, salmon skin roll, escolar roll and the teriyaki bowls. While it was very flavorful, every dish was overly salty. Even the kids complained. I've been here for takeout and dined in for lunch and, this time, for dinner. My only complaint and the reason for not giving this place a higher rating would have to be sodium overload with every visit. I liked that it tasted out of the ordinary and I'm unaware of it's availability elsewhere. You order from computers and I wasn't able to make that note, by the time we sat down and they brought our food -super speedy- it was too late for them to tell me they couldn't share all ingredients for what wasn't made in house. This is mine and my wife's go to spot for Japanese food. It's high quality food that is not trying to be overly fancy. I've never been the chicken teriyaki type but this had to be the best bowl of chicken teriyaki I have ever had. The Ramen is fantastic. Everything is fairly priced as well. Went here about 2 months ago and the ramen was only mediocre. It tasted alright but it wasn't my favorite. The tables and chairs were cute and it was comfortable for a casual setting. The waitress wasn't super helpful in recommending anything for my first experiance but otherwise was efficient in getting my order taken care of. Walked in to a big menu on the wall, they have ramen, sushi, & poke bowls. They show the name and picture but not complete ingredients. I was in the mood for ramen so I ordered their Tan-Tan signature ramen which had a little chili for spice level and my daughter ordered the spider roll. Checked in with yelp and was able to use my free edamame coupon. My daughter ordered the Ramune drink, they have original and strawberry flavor $4 each. It wasn't my first time in here, but it was definitely my last and worst experience. I came in with my fiancé, who picked me up while I was on break from work, to get lunch. He running errands and had his service dog with him. We walked In to order food for take out, and were told only service dogs were allowed inside. My fiancé responded with , " yeah she's a service dog." The man working the register asked where is her tag? We then provided proof from one doctor, that wasn't enough he said it wasn't a doctor? Just someone who takes care of mens health. At that point I didn't want to give them my business so I said let's just leave and we walked out. My fiancé went back In just to show him more proof that she was a service animal and was accused of cursing at the man ( he didn't at that point ). I ordered the spicy chicken ramen and it's the best chicken ramen in Austin I've had! The broth was so flavorful and had a spicy kick. The chicken pieces were barbequed, so they added a sweet and tangy taste to the ramen. My husband had the miso ramen with pork and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The prices are fair as well, compared to how expensive Japanese food is to produce. Their ramen is inexplicably delicious. They serve you so fast too! And they're so friendly. My husband and I love the food here! As a piece of constructive criticism, we don't feel that we can order takeout anymore because your takeout packaging is not eco friendly at allllllllll. With the ramen comes a million little pieces of plastic, wrapping one piece of nori in Saran Wrap, plastic takeout bag. Just seems a but unnecessary. But food? Good.
