I received a few quotes with varying prices and couldn't decide, therefore I also did a Google search of reviews of the various places to help me make my decision of where to take my vehicle. GP, which is 45 mins away from my home, and an hour in traffic from my work, quoted me a flat rate with parts and labor included, which was $20 more than a shop in my neighborhood. The removal and install was fast, and the gentleman was very professional. My bill was actually $20 more than the flat rate quoted. Therefore, I ended up paying $40 more than I would have paid had I gone to a local shop, 1hour 45 mins driving, and a 1/4 tank of gas. Pricey lesson learned. However, I'm grateful that my windshield is fixed before winter. I recommend this location for folks who live in the area. It's clean with a comfortable waiting room. Also, if you're low in cash, make sure you know that "flat rate" doesn't mean the same to everyone. Use the Project tool to receive quotes, etc, but do extra homework and know exactly how much a service will cost you in exact pricing, considering your travel (gas) expenses, and time when comparing.

They removed my windshield before verifying that the (one) windshield they had in-stock was usable. It was not usable - chipped. Thankfully they were able to find another windshield at a nearby distributor. The repair was completed only 45 minutes late. It was frustrating watching other customers arrive and depart while I waited. The downsides? Sketchy neighborhood = low rent. Waiting room is spartan and not exactly tidy. No coffee. No WiFi. No TV. Yard sale seating. But saving $400-$700 makes these inconveniences ... irrelevant. Will I use MCAG again? Yes! (But I would not let my wife go there alone.)

I had my windshield replaced on my 2011 Ford Escape XLT on February 25th, and it has been a nightmare of property damage and zero accountability. Contacted about the leaking on Feb 27th. ​The "Service": ​Major Leaks: Within 48 hours, it started leaking. The headliner is 90% stained, and water leaks directly through the sunglass holder and a pillers. I'm literally having to use a tarp on my car in Michigan weather just to save my interior from mold and electrical failure. My seats and floor boards are soaked. ​Safety Hazards: They left shattered glass all over my dashboard, switches, and even the street. I spent time cleaning it up, but tiny shards are still embedded everywhere. ​The Mess: There is polyurethane residue all over my headliner and support towers. They even covered the VIN with it, making it unreadable. ​The "Customer Service" (or lack thereof): I have been dealing with "Robert" for weeks. On March 7th, he said the glass was out of stock. On March 9th, he said it was in stock and a tech would be there by noon. Noon came and went. 3:00 PM came and went. No call, no show. ​I was told the "back office" is the only one who can help, yet I can't get a single person on the phone who actually has a solution. It has been nearly two weeks of water damage and excuses. Now we have been blocked on multiple phone numbers. ​If you value your vehicle and your time, stay far away from SkyView. I had an appointment from 8am-12 on a Saturday. Couldn't get an earlier appointment. A good size…read morerock hit my windshield over a week ago on that cesspool of an unkept M-39. It went from a bullet size hole and cracked across the windshield within hours and further overnight. It's been over a week and it didn't crack more then 12 inches or so since. Rimon, the Safelite tech was at the condo by 10:30am, he seemed nice and arrived before his text messaged estimated time. He told us it would take about and hour. He showed us how much he would be collecting for the windshield replacement, it would be $353+ and showed me the bill before we parted to let him do his thing. He said he could call me when he's done. I said yes. He was done after 45 minutes or so. I got a text from Safelite as well as a call from the tech when he finished. He asked if I would be driving it soon or today at all. I said maybe later. He was happy to remove the setting tape for me. I said it was fine. He suggested letting it set for a couple of hours if possible. The tech was quick with running my credit card and a receipt was to be sent to my email. He was deft, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I like this easy and convenient process and will definitely do it again. Hoping it's a long while before I have to replace my windshield from road debris again though. The tech reminded me that there's a lifetime warranty on the windshield. Good to know. The non-OEM glass was made by Fuyao.
