A food truck that's all about chicken. Especially fried chicken. Lots to choose from on the menu, including salads. Enjoyed that my Ginger Sesame Salad came in two separate boxes. One for the chicken, and one for the greens and goodies (see photo). Definitely is shareable for two people. Friendly service, and a few picnic tables are available. Parking lot ambiance. Soo, YUM! I found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint. The service was great and the food was excellent. The Buffalo Chicken Fries are a must try, super filling and flavorful. They even have a few picnic tables to sit which is nice. read more

I see banh mi, I order banh mi. A policy which has rarely steered me wrong in life. My anticipation grows as I note the robust pieces of fried chicken at the heart of each sandwich that I see. People surround me, and there is chicken on all sides. My time arrives. I open the box. The burning summer sun, uncharacteristically sweltering for the area, it beams off of the glistening bun. I am blinded by the powerful sheen. Fried chicken is protruding out of every edge, generous, saintlike portions. I take the first bite. It is hot, like the sun, but in a good way. Because it is not the sun, it is a sandwich. The chicken is the centerpiece, the ride at the amusement park you can see from miles away, towering and bold. But the chicken is kind, altruistic, allowing space for the complexities inherent of it bearing the title of banh mi. The pickled onions, the daikons, the jalapeños, and all their brethren, live not in the shadow of the chicken but in the shade, thriving. Like an amusement park, it is the whole of the thing which makes it so delicious, so tantalizing. I devour the sandwich, I do it swiftly. Each bite a complex ride, like a rollercoaster full of loops and swift turns, to keep doing the whole amusement park thing I've so fully committed to. It is hot, but it makes me no hotter. On this scorching summer day, I too find shade beneath the chicken's wings. read more

Great service, even better chicken sandwiches! Wow a foodies dream find in a small city like this. These chicken sandwiches come heavily pact with flavor. We ordered the OG and Korean chicken Couxp sandwich. Wowza. Kimchi on the sandwich is on point with the amazing drizzle sauce. The OG sandwich was a classic delicious chicken sandwich packed with flavor and a good aioli sauce. It was our first time and they hooked it up on sauces. We wanted one of each. Every single was great flavor. Fries were fresh and sandwiches are piping hot. We're from central California where we are stacked with great foodie restaurants and this place would be able to hold its own if it came to our town. 10/10 on chicken sandwiches especially with the flavors to choose from! good food truck many options on the menu. I am new to town so my man and I decided to go on a walk and he wanted to show me a chicken spot. They offer amazing service, super cool dudes. There are many tables so there are options to sit outside or eat in your car. I would definitely come back and try everything else on their menu. Chicken sandwiches were thoughtful in their flavor composition and fried to perfection! The OG Couxp was delicious, the Bahn Mi had a great flavor when the right bite was taken, but was a bit unevenly distributed in its dressings (my onion issue which I know is picky). While we didn't realize this was a good truck, there was ample parking right by the truck and a few picnic tables. The food took about fifteen minutes and we were given a little buzzer to call us up. Everything was so fresh and hot! The staff was extremely friendly! Prices are a bit steep since you don't get any sides with your sandwich, it's all a la carte. But portions are big so you are getting a good amount of chicken for the money and the side of onion rings was substantial. Will definitely recommend and stop again! read more

I got a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and fries. The first few bites of the sandwich were good. I was happy with it. Same with the fries. As I got deeper into the sandwich I thought the mixture of the slaw, sauce, and chicken was making for some weird textures, especially as I got closer to the middle, and that plus the change in flavor went into "it would be a waste to throw this away" territory. There was that nagging suspicion: I wonder if it's just that this isn't cooked? Don't listen to that doubt; this cost a bit. A delicious surprise! As we wandered the streets of Arcata, feeling "hangry", we happened upon a lucky find! Not only were they guys super friendly, but the menu looked delicious from top to bottom. However, you need look no farther that the first item if it's your first visit. The fried chicken sando was fabuloso! My wife had a salad with an orange sesame sauce on the fried chicken, which they wisely put on the side, that was just perfect! Fresh greens and a sauce that was not too spicy, not to sweet-just that perfect balance. Only one note: it is a food truck with outdoor picnic bench seating. We hit it on a sunny afternoon with perfect weather, but if that's not the case for you, just grab takeout! read more

Comfort food right here! At first it seems like a place that has zero vegetarian options but if you look closely, you'll see they sub in fried cauliflower! And let me tell you, that fried cauliflower is *chefs kiss* right in between a brioche bun with savory sauces and fillings, it's worth the wait. Sweet potato fries are on point too. First of all, I love me some fried chicken. I read about this place in Oregon and made plans to go here when I came down on vacation. This devilishly handsome guy took our order (why isn't he on the menu?) And we both had the OG sandwich and split an order of the Parmesan truffle fries. It's more like the OMG sandwich AND fries!!! Excellent Nashville style chicken right here in the Emerald Triangle. Perfectly fried. I don't even usually like thigh meat and this was wonderful. The fries were perfect with just the right amount of salt. I will be back fir more. If I could change one thing, it would be to add a Tablespoon more slaw to the sandwich. Best food in humboldt by far! Everything on their menu is delicious. My favorite is just the classic chicken sandwich... it puts any other chicken sandwich shop in the dust. This place is unbeatable 10/10 My only complaint is the wait time. Ordering 2 or 3 items can sometimes make you wait 30-45 minutes. I understand their kitchen is small in the food truck however. If you don't mind waiting for the best chicken sandwich ever, I would definitely stop by here. read more

The Couxp is one of those places that makes people seek out food trucks for gourmet reasons rather than convenience. Their goal is pretty straightforward: Do the chicken sandwich thing all the fast-food places do, but better. And man do they ever nail that. The chicken sandwiches are big (but not ridiculous), full of flavor, the pillowy brioche bun is just right, and they're filled with the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Seriously, it's something else entirely--meat so tender and juicy it's in a league of its own. And THICK--it's a straight-up chunk of meat. There's a creative variety of sandwiches on the default menu (the Bahn Mi is really good), plus regularly-rotated specials. Things tend toward spicy, but the OG is always there for people like me who can't handle the heat. My only warning is that your sandwich will be cooked to order, so it's going to take a little while, 10-20 minutes. They do give you a pager so you can wait in your car if the weather is bad. Call in your order if you don't want to wait. There are some picnic tables to eat nearby if you're so inclined, although if you aren't headed elsewhere you're better off spending the 30 seconds it'll take to walk to the Plaza for a nice picnic spot. read more

We managed to nose our truck into the stall with a bit less room and walked around to the front entrance. Our disabled son has a service dog. She happens to be a standard Poodle that is clearly tagged, working-dog vested in hi-viz optic yellow with 'Service Dog' patches clearly worn and tethered to our son with a matching hi-viz short traffic lead. Imagine our surprise when walking into the restaurant we were told by the woman at the register that the dog was not allowed inside. We would have to put the dog outside on a hook. We politely countered, gesturing to the dog and explaining that as a service dog, she was legally allowed inside, to which the woman again stated that the dog would have to remain outside. On a hook... We chose rather than continue to waste time trying to get a seat or even place an order, to simply leave. We would spend our money elsewhere. FYI: California Vehicle Code - VEH § 22507.8 states that it is unlawful to block the access or use of the handicapped parking like that: https://codes.findlaw.com/ca/vehicle-code/veh-sect-22507-8/ And the ADA has clear direction about service animals and their permitted access in a restaurant setting: https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-2010-requirements/ These are very real legal issues. And we feel that the staff member made a choice to discriminate against us. Rather than raise a complaint with Humboldt County, we just won't return to this place, nor will we recommend eating here.

We walked in excited to prolong our fun afternoon and then we got to the bar to order... the bartender, who's name is Liza, was super abrupt and not friendly at all. She was very rude and we were being nice. Even gave her a huge tip when we ordered, because you have to pay when you order... trust me.. she did not deserve the tip.... she was rude and condescending the entire time and really ruined the experience for us. Beer 8/10. Chili fries 9/10. Service from food 10/10. Bartender 0/10. If Liza is ever there behind the bar again, I will leave. This was the worst experience ive ever had at the brewery and it will be a minute before I go again. Definitely taking my money elsewhere.

Really that's all that matters right? It's either yes I can't wait to come back or no this place is not for me so what's my answer? The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES!! I stayed the night at the hotel next-door, I called up placed my order and I walked over and grabbed the pizza. If that simple, not much really else to say except for the pizza was really good and the service was great. I love round table pizza and it was nice to finally have it again because the one by my house in Southern California Disappeared a few years ago.
