Just had European Auto Werks check my brakes. They told me that the pads had over 50% remaining, and the Discs looked good. With 92,000 miles on the odometer, they could have told me I need discs and pads, but they didn't. They were totally honest! I always enjoy taking my vehicles to European Auto Werks! Chris and the staff are always very courteous and always reply promptly. They do my A and B services much cheaper than the dealers. Their other services/repairs are half the price of the dealerships....and faster. I have never had to take any of my vehicles back after a repair for something not completed. Finally writing a review! After so many years of really outstanding service from European Auto Werks I finally am writing a review based on many visits. If you're looking for a place to confidently take you car that is honest and most of all quality from top to bottom, then it's with European Auto Werks. Chris, Mike and Scott are the ultimate professionals and are "mechanics" mechanics as well as very professional gentleman. They read codes for sure but have a wealth of knowledge that transcends "parts replacers" and computers. Chris keeps you up to date on the progress of work no matter how small or large the job they have worked on for our cars. They strive to meet your budget and preferences for OEM parts which is very rare to find. But, it is that breadth of knowledge and experience that allows them to diagnose, source parts and keep cars running safely and very well. Lazy liar, rude, arrogant, incompotent!!! NEVER EVER! Chris agreed to work on my car, being brought from another shop. I had to have it towed there. Then he calls me all rude & arrogant like I was such a burden & that he doesnt need the work, blah blah. He called & said bolts & screws on the parts replaced by the other weren't there & refused to work on it. I told him repeatedly, they are in a small paper bag in the trunk of the Mercedes. He calls & says there's nothing. I physically go to the previous shop & help look & we can't find them, yet they insist, they were in the bag in the trunk. I call Chris & ask him, again, please look again. He calls back, rude & yelling & demanding that i tow my car out immediatley!! So, I pay for another tow. When it arrives at my home, I open the trunk; i see 2 paper bags. Check one, nothing. I check the other, low & behold, ALL THE SCREWS & BOLTS are there. Either he was lazy, a liar or incompotent. I had a good experience with the repairs the first time I went there. Mike was great and did a couple of things that he didn't charge for several months back. I called them yesterday (9-3-25) and talked to Chris to schedule some more repairs. He said he would call me back. After a few minutes I spoke to him and he said I should take my car somewhere else. I asked why and he said because I questioned the cost of the repairs after the fact. I replied; "are you kidding me"? He was adamant that I had no right to question the final bill. I did explain to this arrogant "jerk" that I had EVERY RIGHT to do so without permission or apology. I told him he was a jerk and wished him good luck and ended the call. He called back and asked why I called him a jerk. I said because you're a jerk. Unbelievable. NEVER again. This guy is so full of himself that he can't get out of his own way. Terrible. read more

Former service manager at a dealership highly recommended this shop and they are fantastic! They were able to get the needed part and scheduled service following day. When I checked in they saw I had a laptop and offered to let me use their break work to get a few things done while I waited! They were very fast and professional. And you are often faced with high prices as well as given the run around by a shop because they know your options are limited. After stressing with other shops my wife and i found European auto werks where i worked with Chris. Chris every step of the way kept me in the loop, even had me go in to see the car to back up his findings. He made sure i made a informed decision of the next steps and offered more cost efficient alternatives to the solution in comparison to how most shops do things. What i really loved was that they didn't continue to work on the vehicle until he knew i understood the issue, the solution, the cost, and time. First of all if your looking for and trustworthy Benz mechanic, this is your place! Met Chris (Service adviser) and he went over what they are about and what they look for and inspect. All I wanted was an oil change and Mike (mechanic) went way beyond that and inpected the belt, fluids, and bushings. Basically the whole under carriage. They then pulled me into the service area and explained to me every detail of my car. Also stated that everything was in top condition. They use all the standard MB products and OEM parts. European auto werks have been in business for 27 yrs and both Chris and Mike have been here since day 1 and won't steer you wrong. I highly recommend these Awesome guys! read more

It is very nice when you are greeted by the owner. That's what happens when you call or take your Mercedes to European Auto Werks. Chris, founder and service writer listens and takes notes about your car's issues. Soon he calls and tells you what it will take to fix it and exactly how much it will cost. Each time our two Mercedes have been repaired perfectly at a fair price. They only work on Mercedes and have the expertise to do the work right the first time. Every time I've been there I feel like they care about me and my car. They listen and they communicate. The work is done quickly. Best service I have ever had! This is the place to go in San Antonio! This is my 1st Mercedes and I am a home mechanic, but I needed the steering sensor replaced and I do not have the computer program to reset the sensor and clear the codes. I spent 2 hours online and making phone calls researching where to take my car. I could have not been happier with my choice. Chris was great! He was friendly and answered all my questions unlike some of the other shops I called. Also their prices are unbelievable! it was 1/2 the price of the dealership and only $80 more than if I did it myself!!! Dropped the car off at 12:30, and Chris called me at 5:30 the SAME DAY and said the car was done and everything worked perfect. I was expecting a 3 day turnaround.
