I have a Land Rover which is a 2005 lr3 big old Beast LOL. And the problem with that is most places including very famous places do not know how to deal with these very intricate machines. And dealing with the dealers who are a bit away from Temecula is not a great option either. They're very overpriced and they have a tendency to keep the vehicle for a very long time for minor repairs. I'd heard a person while shopping at Lowe's of all places told me that he had a Land Rover and he took his Banner over to European Auto Works for repairs. So I thought I would give it a shot. My wife brought in her VW for a transition service and an oil change. They wanted more than the dealer charges! What an inconvenience. They knew she was dropping her car off before work and had someone coming to pick her up. They thought they could take advantage of the situation but they were wrong. Why would you pay more than the dealer charges for the same service? You wouldn't and you shouldn't take your vehicle here! This was for a DSG transmission service and an oil change on a 2010 VW cc. Compare their price to the VW dealer up the street to find out if my review is accurate! $642 at AutoWerks and $420 at the dealer!!! read more

Called in to have the company diagnose why my XK8 Jag would not complete the Catalytic converter drive cycle, I even took in the relevant page of the workshop manual in case they didn't have one! They laughed at my workshop manual page and claimed they did not need it! After hundreds of dollars and three days later they claimed that computer parts were compromised and that parts would have to be sent to Massachusetts for re-manufacture, Unfortunately the re-manufacturer had been shut down by the Sheriffs dept. Once I got the car home I re-read the relevant page from the workshop manual and decided to follow it's instructions. In a nutshell, most cars need to be driven 55mph steadily for 5 minutes to complete the catalytic converters drive cycle, and that's what I had been attempting to achieve, however on studying the Workshop manual page I discovered the XK8 needs to be driven 35-40mph for 30 seconds, pretty hard to do around here if you don't have the perfect road! Once I found the perfect road I drove the car as instructed, and it Immediately completed the cats cycle. I passed my smog check. Due to the arrogance of the company's staff, I spent a lot of money and frustration and got no results! read more

I had a problem with my AC. They had my car for three days because they ordered the wrong parts. When I finally picked up my car I was told they had not done the courtesy inspection and had not even washed my car. Also very expensive. More than $500 in labor for replacing wires that cost $120. Much better customer service and these guys actually do a better job too. More important, they are honest. These guys have always done a great job on our Audi Q5. We have used them for 3 years now. We started with an engine misfire that the dealer told us was a valve replacement that would cost $2400. After talking with these guys they stated it was build-up in the induction system and all it needed was a media blast. This fixed our issue for half the cost. Yet the dealer wanted to replace the whole valve. I would trust these guys with anything on my Audi. Same thing with some control arm bushings that another shop stated we needed fixed. I have been here two times before. Once to do repairs and once for oil change. This time I came in to do both. Had some issue with my car and was Hoping that ONCE FIXED I could later do an oil change. Never got a call on an update/diagnosis, I had to call them. When I finally got in touch with them, the guy told me the issue with the car & how incredibly expensive it would be to do labor on a part of my car that wasn't even the issue. He made it sound like a deal by saying "if we do the labor on this part (the part that wasn't the issue) we won't charge you for the part that is the issue". But why would I want to be charged $1,000++ for something that isn't an issue?? I told him I wouldn't be able to do that. I asked him about the oil change & he said that my car had already been serviced for oil, that they were closing it up and it would be done shortly. So I didn't say anything but why service a car for oil when it isn't drivable due to an issue that you just diagnosed?! Any normal car shop would have diagnosed the issue, called the customer and explained and then proceed from there. But apparently their technicians don't think for themselves and just "read what's on the paper". I was charged for an oil change that I would have declined had they communicated with me better. When I went to pick up my car the man I spoke with on the phone changed his story completely. Saying that, on the phone, he told me they had just started servicing my car....but he absolutely said that it was already done!!! Had he said they just started I would have told him to just stop. I assume it was the manager that came over as well while I was disputing with the front desk man and he started coming up with excuses that had nothing to do with my issue. Overall this is just bad communication with the customer. I'm really sad because I thought this was a good, honest place that I could take my car and not get ripped off but guess not. I recommended this place to many but definitely won't make that mistake again. read more

My son is in the Coast Guard with lengthy tours at sea and a modest budget, Jason worked with him on his GTI problem at a cost savings of $500+ less than dealer and with a better warranty and they serviced his Xterra pointing out what needed work, what could wait and what he needed to take to Nissan for a recall repair. read more

I have taken both my cars here, an 01 bmw and a 06 passat and I really enjoyed my experience here. I like that they have a drop box for when the shop is not open. The lobby is very clean and the bathroom is like one that you would find in a nicer restaurant. They have a stocked fridge and refreshments for their customers. They have puppy tv playing which I enjoy. Now to the nitty gritty, the staff behind the counter are personal and professional. I like that everyone there is very friendly and down to earth. You can tell that this place is managed very well by how smoothly things are ran here. I like that they explain every process of diagnosing and fixing the problems that your vehicle is having. The service is prompt but I will say in their defense that if you drop your car off last minute on a Thursday and expect it to be done on Friday that you're being unrealistic. This shop shouldn't be negatively reviewed since there are other cars ahead of yours no matter how much anyone needs their vehicle. They cover their work which is a huge plus and they offer incentives to come back. I looooove this place, honest, clean, professional, prompt, and fair. For the people who wrote negative reviews about this place let me explain how you are wrong: -if you drop your car off last minute and expect repairs on your time, you're being unrealistic -if this shop wasn't as cheap as you were expecting......Omg I can't even believe I have to explain this to people. You get what you pay for. You want garbage work then you pay next to nothing. You want quality you're going to have to pay for it. Plus if you know of a shop that offers better rates then wouldn't you do whatever it took to get your car there?????? -took your car to get a second opinion and they discredited the work that needed to be done. I've always had my Audi serviced at the Audi dealership, but because I couldn't get an appointment that worked for me - I looked for alternatives and found European Autowerks. Admittedly I was a little skeptical by using a small shop so I was very much on guard - but I am pleased to write that they exceeded my expectations and will be using them going forward. It also wasn't your typical auto shop where they often "mysteriously discover" expensive problems that were never a problem before dropping the car off. The guys at European Autowerks were honest and very fair, probably more fair than the dealership I had been using . They did point out things that will require attention in the future, but at the same time saying it's not critical to do at this point in time - which i found very fair and honest. The parts and labor rates they charge were good, and my car came back clean! I certainly recommend using them. read more

I brought my car in because I felt the dealer was not being thorough with my car. On two different occasions I brought my car to the VW dealer for maintenance with the tire pressure light on and I specifically noted to them and all they did was reset the light and put air in my tires. Come to find out there was a nail in one of my tires that I myself found a couple of years ago, which the dealer failed to notice or inspect! I brought my car to European Autowerks and I not only said anything about the light being on again (after taken in to dealer for some warranty repair and they just resetting the light), the guy behind the counter told me about it and they had my tired patched. I dislike having lights on my dashboard and I am finally able to have peace of mind after the service I received here. The price is fair comparing to the dealer, I paid half the price for my regular maintenance than I would, had I taken it to the dealer. I'm glad I found this place and being my third european car, I know what it takes to have these type of cars maintained and I now have trust that my Passat will be taken care of from now on. Brought my Range Rover Sport in 7 months ago for diagnostic with suspension fault light coming on. The owner Scott is nice to talk to but their Range Rover "specialist" tech is a joke. They kept my car in the shop for 2 days, charged me $120 diagnostic test and all they gave me was a printout from the computer saying here are a list of what's wrong with the car and suggested I bring my car in to the dealer because they can't fix it. I was going to bring it to the dealer but figured it will cost more time and money so I went on those online range rover forums and got more helps than their range rover tech. I bought a new solenoid valve for my range rover air pump on Ebay for $40. I installed it myself in an hour and fixed the fault issue myself. Been running good ever since. I wanted to wait this long to make sure I really fixed the issue. Save your money and time and bring your Range Rover elsewhere. If they claimed to be a Range Rover specialist and can't fix the issue after 2 days in the shop...and I was able to fix it with some online browsing and an hour working on the car. Lets keep in mind that I have very little experience working with cars. I think that said enough about their expertise. read more
