This location is by far the worst European wax center. The front desk girl (chubby faced Caucasian girl) is absolutely rude and horrible. Does not acknowledge you when you walk in, takes someone else when she saw me waiting for a good 10 minutes. No smile, no greeting, stoic expression.. it was clear that she absolutely hates her job. I just don't understand why anyone would run a business in such a unprofessional manner. In this time and age (yelp, google, social Media reviews) you can't get away with such a repulsive service! This was my 5th visit and besides the first visit, all other times I got booked with a novice wax technician. And of course they suck. Takes 5 x longer, more painful and messy. They must have a big worker turnover.. I bought a 10 wax package last time and I completely regret it now. I will not be retuning here even if I can't get a refund for the unused package. I got my very first Brazilian wax by Gabrielle here at this location. First off let me say I love the check in process. You open your phones camera and scan the barcode that's on the front door, then they send you a text message asking for your first and last name then they send you a text saying your all checked in and they will let you know when they are ready for you. If you come on your appointment time you won't be waiting long at all! The place is very clean and I have no complaints about the entire process. Will definitely be returning!! read more

I've always had a good experience with Ashley and more recently with Elizabeth. They make it super comfortable and not awkward. They also share good tips for ongoing skincare. It's super easy to schedule the appointments. You can do it online by picking who you want to work with and what time you prefer. To cancel, you have to call them. Wonder why they don't allow you to do so online. I've got the 12 session pass and I think it's totally worth it! Clean facilities and quick good service. read more

After moving to Conshohocken, I gave up driving to the Horsham location and started coming here despite an initial bad experience. This location is unprofessional and rude as h3ll! I made an app for 1:45... in route to the location it quickly turns into the turnpike and took the wrong turn which added an extra 20 mins to my drive. I immediately called I was put on hold for 7mins no one answered so I arrived to the location 10 mins late. The young lady (whom put me on hold and never answered in a empty lobby) named jalen could be a fake name. (Curly hair olive skin) on Thursday 9/16/2021 @ 1:55 tell me they have a 8 min grace period and there's nothing she can do. I decided not to protest with her considering I was already annoyed with the extra 20 min drive! I'm relieved I didn't get serviced at this location the service is low class and not worth 60 bucks I'm glad to nicely change locations. wow! What a horrible company. they will provide no information. I asked a simple "how long have each specialist worked for you?" Won't answer. I asked if any other information on their experience can be available. None. They kept saying -they are trained and equally good... except that is BS. Last time I went I left with legs still slightly hairy with more ingrown hairs I have ever had from a wax appointment. I legit needed a wax 4 days after going.... I do NOT recommend EWC plymouth meeting. the specialists may be nice but the one didn't do great due to inexperience, i don't blame her. I'm sorry but WHAT THE HECK IS THIS????? I came in to get my eyebrows trimmed up. I don't have thin eyebrows, they just needed a little shape up. And THIS is what I walk out with. I know eyebrows are sisters and not twins, but my eyebrows look like DISTANT COUSINS. And I have a 12 inch gap between them. This was terrible. I'm a first AND LAST time customer. The gel she put on them made them look worse. Terrible terrible terrible. I have been getting waxed for years, so I know the level of discomfort/pain involved. Had to go to the Plymouth Meeting location based on convenience and timing. I booked with Valerie, who was very pleasant and sweet. Her waxing technique, however, was exceptionally painful and uncomfortable. It wasn't just when the wax was removed, but the application of the wax was also painful - very rough and ridiculous amount of pressure when applying. She also applied very large strips, which required an even more painful removal process. Again, she was very pleasant and talkative, and when her technique improves I'm sure she'll be an excellent waxer. read more

I went for my first time last week. Overall good experience. The facility was clean, my waxer made me feel very comfortable. The wax is great, no complaints there. However, I'm giving three stars because I felt as though I was tricked into buying products. At the service desk, the 'after-wax serum' was put in a bag and handed to me with NO explanation. Since they didn't say anything, I was confused and thought perhaps it was part of the first time offer. But then, they charged me $30 for it. Never once was I asked if I was interested in the product, or told how much it cost. It's a nice product, but I wouldn't have purchased it at that price point. (I read the ingredients and it's basically just chamomile, green tea and coffee extract) Honestly, it felt like a very sneaky sales tactic - very much a "That's how they get you" moment. I'd go back for the quality of the wax. But I would like them to be a bit more transparent with sales. read more

I have been getting Brazilians for 15 years, and she is one of the most thorough, knowledgable professionals I have ever had. Such a great job. I wasn't going to leave a review, but on the way out I noticed a sign that said I would get 500 points (towards my rewards account) if I gave a 5 star review on Yelp and then showed the posted review on my next visit. I'm going to assume that the management that decided to do this promotion didn't realize that "paying" for a review is a violation of the ToS of Yelp. If I would have received this service at a standard nail salon, where I would have paid less than $20 for an eyebrow and lipwax it would have been 4 stars. But since I pay a premium at this salon ($30 + tip for the same services) I have an expectation of premium service. And while this is my 1st time at this location in Plymouth Meeting, I have been a frequent customer of the location in Collegeville for over 9 months and been extremely happy. The Plymouth Meeting location is new, and much closer to my house so I decided to give it a go. Reasons why this Plymouth Meeting location only received 2 stars: 1. The waxist (Miriam) burned me. It wasn't a bad burn, but she doubled waxed me and 18 hours later I'm still red and tender in one spot. To be fair, I my skin is a bit sensitive and is always red after waxing. Usually after applying the calming cream the redness quickly dies down. Overall the redness look at least twice as long to go away this time, and then a small strip below my eyebrow remained red even after the other returned to normal. 2.She was rough. Now to clarify, she didn't slam me around, but she was not gentle. Pulling my skin and pushing my head around. It was not a spa like experience. It was the normal experience I receive at cheaper salons, but... 3. The upsell was relentless: She asked if I used their eyebrow powder before I even sat down, and then mentioned to products. When I asked for an explanation of one of my products she said it was to make my eyebrows fuller. I explained that I was happy with the fullness of my eyebrows, but still at the end she tried to upsell me on a products I had already stated I didn't need. 4. She missed hairs: I had her go back after I looked in the mirror. I had to point out the dark long hairs that she missed. And when I went home I found that I STILL had several long dark hair unplucked in my unibrow and also the upper lip. The positives: very clean, parking was easy. The front desk was very polite and helpful. Rebooking is easy. I also love that I can put a tip on my card. I am always short on having cash on hand - its nice to know this is one place that I can utilize my debit or credit card for the entire service. I would be willing to go back and try another waxist. My hope is that Miriam was just not a good fit for me. But from my 1 visit - it was night and day to what I had expected. Miriam was very nice and polite, but did not provide the level of service that was expected at this price point. If this had been my 1st experience at European Wax Center I would not have returned. I will give this location one more try. Otherwise I will use the remainder of my prepaid package at the Collegeville location and then look for another place to do my waxing. I usually go to the Rittenhouse location but stopped in here for a last minute appointment before I left for a weekend in the sun. The owner was there at the front desk who was chatted with me while I waited. What a delight. So sweet and friendly. I'd come back just because of this. Noone holds a conversation anymore and I thought it was so down to earth of her to engage me while I waited. Aside from this, my appointment with Audrey has me hooked on continuing to give my business at this location. So precise. Her attention to detail is just what you need/look for in an esthetician. I'm not a regular waxer, but went in for a pre-vacation treat. The wax specialist Miriam was prompt and knew what she was doing. She spent much of our hour together telling me why my regular shaving is bad and waxing is good, and seriously marketing the EWC products to me. Brows and lower legs were done well. Underarms were left with a decent number of stray hairs which she told me I could tweeze out later. Little bits of wax were left on my skin here and there. When I first started I went to a few different women who were all kind and helpful, but Megan truly is the best out of the entire staff. She makes you feel comfortable and has a great personality. We had an 1145 appt sat there until 12:15...asked about the delay was told sorry the customer before you ran late. We had to leave when I questioned the Manager, MJ, her response was sorry. I really dislike posting negative reviews as I don't know that they are always reviewed or actioned by the business, but the Contact Us link on the EWC website conveniently isn't working (all the other links work!). Anyway, this review is for one specific experience. I have been going to this location for over 4 years and have had an overall good experience. However, recently I've seen a decline in the quality of the service and the technicians. Admittedly, I just go to who is available and don't request a specific person. The last 2 times I have gone, the service was not great. I went yesterday and had my eyebrows and lips done by Sabrina. It was probably the worst waxing experience that I've had. She was so rough with tweezing my eye brows that she drew blood in multiple locations and never addressed it. I now have multiple bumps and scabs in the eye brow area. I was also very clear and upfront that I have sensitive skin and you can't double wax areas. But she did on the lip. As she was doing it, I said something, and she said she wasn't doubling....what, I can't feel where you already put wax? I can. And now my upper lip is still really red and sensitive. Luckily I wasn't burned. And to top it off, there are a lot of hairs left on the lip area that I need to tweeze. Really disappointed in this experience and hope Sabrina gets the additional training she clearly needs and that the overall quality improves to what it used to be. read more

The place is immaculate and the wax is different and so less painful than traditional waxing. Rachel explained the process in detail. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews before selecting a wax specialist...Meredith W's review of Miriam is on point. The first time this woman waxed me a few months back, I too thought she was way too rough and waxed over the same spots multiple times, yet still missed hairs (not an issue I've had with other specialists). Needless to say I was not pleased with the service back then, but I decided to give it a second shot (only because I needed an appointment right away and she was the only person available all night). I was hesitant to book the appointment and I should have stuck with my gut because the second appointment was worse than the first. Not only do I still have hair patches but also a patch of skin has been removed. I've gotten plenty of waxes at Euro before, all throughout the year, and I am livid with this woman's service. Never again. On the bright side, reviews seem to say that the other specialists aren't nearly as bad...lesson learned. read more

Horrific experience from start to finish and I'm not finished! Lack of direction, experience and the most incompetent, lazy franchise owner I have ever encountered. The whole outfit is mis-managed. I had a magnificent experience with one of the technicians at Horsham but this salon had inexperienced technicians who practiced on me like some lab rat. To make matters worse, I had to spend another hour at home plucking the unplucked and untrimmed eyebrows since the job was left unfinished. When I decided to address this with the "manager", It took three visits to the salon asking to call me until the franchise owner finally called me. This was the biggest waste of my money spent in the salon and my time spent trying to get a hold of customer relations. My first call to corporate was supposedly relayed to the franchise owner. Was I really expecting to get a timely call back from the same disorganized franchise owner regarding my complaint? I called customer relations yet another time and insisted that I speak to the VP of Sales. I am still waiting for the callback from anyone that was supposed to happen 48-72 hours after I called corporate. What a disgrace of a company! Where did they ever adopt their model for customer service? read more
