Had a wonderful birthday lunch with a friend at Eva's today. We shared a plate of potato and cheese pierogi's and the kielbasa platter. Everything was hot and fresh, the pierogi's were served with onions and a little sauerkraut. We got the red cabbage with our kielbasa and it came with crispy cooked potatoes. The service was excellent even when it got quite busy. Our server checked on us several times to make sure everything was good.

Recently I went to Eva's European Sweets. We did I take out. My husband got the pierogies and I got the Polish sampler. I've heard so many good things about this place I've been wanting to go forever. Maybe it's just me but it lacked flavor. The glumpke was very tasteless and dry had very little sauce the meat inside was very dry. The pierogies were good the kielbasa was good the hunter still was very tasteless. Too much sauerkraut too much cabbage stuff. I also ordered a side of red cabbage that was very bland tasting. It lacks a lot of flavor. Will I go back again probably and I'll order the pierogies that was probably the best thing in the kabasi can't go wrong with that.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Eva's is like stepping into your Polish grandmother's house in the heart of CNY.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment you walk in the door, you can smell the fresh cabbage and the decor is so traditional Eastern European - there's no questioning the authenticity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is kind and attentive, and there is no shortage of amazing dishes to try on the menu. It will be hard, but definitely save room for dessert or get one to go!

Eva's may possible be my favorite restaurant in Syracuse. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere & the comfort that their food brings always keeps me coming back for more along with anyone else who wants to join me for a meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I get the pierogies every time we go & then they always end up talking us into getting dessert which has never disappointed me yet. I will always recommend this spot.

I had the Polish platter which includes 2 potato pierogies, a golabkeki (cabbage roll), kielbasa and bigots (hunter's stew), and sauerkraut and a Warka beer. The food was all very good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a nice outdoor area when the weather is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very friendly staff. Got there at noon on a Thursday afternoon and had no problem getting a table. By a little after 12:30 the restaurant was full and the servers were a little overwhelmed. I would definitely go back

I'm part Polish and grew up eating most of this food, so I have been putting off going here because how could it compare to my family's cooking?! Well, it does! It's legit and SO delicious! Dave was our server and was full of knowledge about the food, good humor, and brought coloring books and crayons for the little one in our group. Everything was cooked to perfection. I somehow managed to save room for dessert and the blueberry coffee cake was pleasantly tasty without being overly sweet. I ordered a mixed drink (I can't remember the name of it but it had lemon in it) and it was made so expertly! I'm definitely going back again. Reminded me so much of my grandparents and having a family dinner at their house!!!

Eva's is such a well oiled machine - everyone works cohesively on the service side and the food is constantly perfect! Adding more pics after another 5 star experience at Eva's. I love it there.

Brought my family here for the first time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got there early on a Frida evening. It filled up quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My kids tried different foods and splurged on their desserts. Def full now. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun atmosphere and yummy food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was great. Friendly and attentive.

We dined at Eva's on a Wednesday at around 5:30. We were seated immediately, and had several people taking care of us. My son and his girlfriend have eaten here several times, and they highly recommended it, and now I know why. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It felt like stepping into another time period in another country.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was amazing (Kielbasa Platter, Drunken Meatballs, Placki Hungarian Style, Roasted Chicken Thighs in a White Wine and Mushroom Sauce, and 6 Farmers Cheese Pirogi). The sauerkraut was so good too... very mild and not overly salty. I highly recommend this beautiful spot, and I will be back the next time we visit our son.

I am extremely embarrassed to admit that until recently, I had never dined at Eva's. I've driven by plenty of times and always told myself I would stop in. Finally, I did, and it was so worth it. My friend and I dined at Eva's for lunch on a beautiful summer. This was a first for both of us. Upon entering Eva's, I instantly felt a sense of comfort. This restaurant has such a warm "make yourself at home" vibe to it, I loved it instantly. We chose to dine outside since it was such a gorgeous day, and to my surprise, their outdoor patio was just as beautiful as their indoor dining space. The food was delicious! Both my lunch date and I thoroughly enjoyed our selections as well the eye-catching cocktails. Customer service was phenomenal upon entering the door up until we exited. While it may have taken me a while to make my way to Eva's, I can assure you now that I have dined here, there is no way I'll be able to stay away.

Heard this place was good and it didn't disappoint. Another gem of Syracuse. I'd say hidden but we found out it was on Diners, Dives, and Driveins. All kinds of delicious looking polish food on the menu it was tough to not order something i already liked but we found some great stuff. Had a Beet salad, Mushroom and potato pierogies, and polish gnocchi. The food came fast. The place was busy. Tons of sitting inside and out. Everything tasted great and paired well together even if it was ordered without that in mind. Saw so many things we wanted to try. We will definetly be back for more!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the mural on the side and the decor on the interior. It makes you feel like you are in someone's home and you feel like family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great. I was blown away by the food. I tried the pierogi which is better than any I have ever had. My dad got the corned beef placki and cleared his plate. Too full for dessert we got some to go and the cakes were nice and light and delicious. I would definitely go back and try more of the menu.

We started out both getting the Dutch Mules to drink; which was a nice crisp take on a classic Moscow Mule. I also got The Stapleton later; which consisted of a fine whiskey, triple sec, OJ, and some other additives which was like drinking a whiskey mimosa without the bubbles. Super delish! My wife got the Knickerbocker sandwich on the special list, and I got the Huckleberry panini. Both very satisfying and satiating in their own ways. I ordered the Beef of Weck and Potato Salad given past reviews seemed to deem these two items as menu staples. The potato salad was fine, in need of a big pinch of salt. The Beef on Weck was a hardy, and a big portion for a sandwich, the extra horseradish wasn't necessary unless you're really a fan. However, the sandwich should be eaten with the au jus, otherwise it borders on flavorless. I did find the bun overly salty. Filling but not fufillying. Additional note... When I went to pickup the staff member wanted me to sign off on a receipt of the full amount without the discount. When I stated I paid online, he responded it had to do with the fact DoorDash doesn't allow for a tip. When I asked for a new bill representative of what I paid, the manager came and said they ask for the signature to confirm it was picked up... Then I said, I can indicate that here on the app, and he agreed and let me go with my food. Overall the interaction made me uncomfortable as I've never experienced a similar situation with pickup. Perhaps just me, but something I feel someone should be made aware of if they're ordering to-go.

Honestly I didn't even know that this little shop was hiding here until a friend of mine had told me about it. Hiding in the Mass Mutual Buildings Lobby in Downtown Syracuse at the corner of Fayette and Clinton Street, unless you happen to notice the sandwich board sign out in front of the building you wouldn't notice it. The good about this place from what I can tell you is rotating $5 lunch specials, free delivery of lunch within the downtown area, a rewards program based off points of dollars spent, and a friendly staff and reasonable prices on a pretty expansive menu for a cracker jack box sized Deli. And most of the food is fresh prepared right in front of you. Sometimes even by Joe himself! I decided to try something that was a regular item on their menu which is cleverly named with streets and areas in Syracuse. I had the "Onondaga" which is essentially a chicken bacon ranch panini. One thing I love about it is its a pressed sandwich, Which next time I try one of their pressed ones I'll get a different bread. The standard for this sandwich is a local favorite, pastas stretch bread. Which is absolutely delicious, but it just doesn't press well in my opinion and it makes it overly chewy. If I customized it a little and got a different bread, it would have helped it. But it did use a lot of fresh ingredients bacon made right on the flat top and roasted chicken breast cut right there, and a good quality ranch dressing. I got a side of fries as well which were just basic shoestring fries but were fresh fried to order for me. I can say if you want a budget lunch that is of good quality, Joe's definitely is a great choice, as it ran me less than $10 for quite a bit of lunch with a drink. I can definitely say that I will make a return trip. And even though its hard to find for the general public, they definitely are loved by the downtown workers as they probably churned through 30 customers as I ate mine in their quaint little dining area of about 4 tables. If its that routinely eaten, I think you as well might like to "Eat At Joe's"!
