I booked a last minute appointment for a facial and a scalp massage as a mini spa day, and I could not be happier with the entire experience. The facial was pricier than I expected at $140 however for 1.5 hours and the difference I saw in my skin after, I believe it was worth it. The scalp massage was heavenly, and although it was 30 minutes it didn't feel short or rushed. Amazing space to go unwind and find relaxation in. My husband and I have been in for massages twice and this most recent time, I had Tracy as my masseuse. She has magic hands and healing energy, I swear. I left feeling as if all the tension in my body had melted away. Can't wait for my next appointment! Covid review- the spa follows a very strict protocol, having you fill out an online questionnaire and then following up when you arrive. They do a great job of limiting how many people are in the space at once and they have you wear a mask for the duration of your visit. The space was warm and inviting, and my partner and I felt immediately welcome. The therapists (Sarah & Darline) who took care of us were wonderful, and did a really great job at creating a relaxing environment during our whole experience. We both felt like jello after our massages, which is always a good sign, lol. My partner and I are both considered "plus size", so it was comforting to know Even Keel could accommodate larger bodies. To add, the therapists never made us feel like we didn't belong there. I have been going to Even Keel for 6+ months and have been getting a cupping massage once a month by Heather. Cupping has completely transformed my training and recovery- my body is less sore and my recovery time between hard workouts is significantly less. As an athlete and fitness instructor I push my body pretty hard so having a regime where I get cupping once a month, gives my body the reset it needs. But the best thing about getting my cupping is Heather. Heather is genuine, caring, and attentive. I received a spray tan from Ashley Franz through sunburst tans and I was so disappointed with how it turned out. I get spray tans weekly where I'm from and was in Annapolis for the week and decided to use her. The spray tan was extremely uneven and my feet were completely untouched with spray. When brought to her attention the next day she accused me of mishandling my post spray care and told me there was nothing she could do. I requested a refund and she stopped replying to messages. Save yourself the trouble of wasted money and two toned skin and go somewhere else. read more
