    Butter chicken & garlic naan
    Mel J.

We were in the area during lunch and pass by the restaurant so we decided to try it out. We arrived around 12:30pm and were seated immediately. There are Indian menu and Indo chinese menu so we tried both. - Butter chicken: good. Although the bowl looked small, it had big chunks of tender chicken pieces. The gravy was creamy and it was more tomatoey for my liking (but it was still tasty!). - Garlic naan: perfectly baked a bit crispy yet still soft. There were lots of garlic on it so it was delicious! - Chicken pan fry momo: good. The momo pieces were big and juicy. The wrap wasn't too thick and the filling was full. The dipping sauce compliments the momo beautifully.

Came back a second time and it was even more amazing. Great service and great food! I definitely want to try all of the dishes.

I came across this interesting restaurant and decided to give it a try. The Chicken Tikka Masala was full of flavors and tender pieces of chicken meat. Steamed lamb Momo was moist and flavorful also. Service with a smile, worth a try

    Masala Chai

Ambience was nice. Went for early dinner on a Sunday evening- got seated immediately. Ordered veg pakora, masala chai, paneer butter masala , paratha and veg pan fried momos. Veg Pakora was the perfect blend of crispy and soft with a good balance of batter and veggies. Definitely recommend it. On the other hand masala chai was a bit disappointing- chai to milk ratio was off . Tasted more like elaichi dudh (cardamom milk). Paneer butter masala curry was on point! Paratha could have done with less oil - I was expecting whole wheat paratha but my bad for not asking beforehand. Flakiness was good though.

This one was hard to rate. Their service was amazing in that they made all the food from scratch to meet with my allergy. I understand that alliums are hard to not include, so absolutely five stars for that. Oh, I also noted that the bathrooms were clean and smelled nice. Not related to food, but a clean bathroom is an awesome sign of clean food. I wasn't the biggest fan of the food...as it had a lot of all-slice flavor that dominated everything. But that was due to my allergies. Was $62 for two people.

The location in Loomis is a little off the beaten path (you think you are leaving town), and in a super small strip mall. Step inside and you find a cute little family owned restaurant that will make you wonder "where did I just get transported to?"... A few tables in the front room and a second dining area to the right. It is important to note that you MUST be patient! There is only the owner running the front of house here. She is doing everything. Super friendly, and being as quick as she can to get tables cleared, people seated, orders taken and served. She does all of this with the most wonderful smile and personality. You will immediately fall in love with her. Many of the diners on this particular night already knew her and appeared to have long standing relationships with the family. We came in on a Saturday evening around 5:15pm and the floor was packed. It remained that way until around 6:30pm. I would suggest coming in later in the evening so the 'regulars' can get in and out. Ok, so now on to the food and why the Green Elephant is such a standout. Everything is super fresh, and flavorful with great depth in the sauces. We started with the tea leaf salad, and pork lumpia. Then Panang chicken and spicy garlic pepper pork and an order of rice. We love spicy food, and requested such (she has a spice scale of 1-10). Our mains were a level 7 and that was sufficient to give us good heat without compromising the flavors. She will also bring you a small dish of chili pepper oil if you want even more heat. By the time we were finished, the floor had cleared, so we know now to arrive a little later. While the drinks were good, I'd prefer anything other than the matcha and definitely wouldn't recommend it for someone wanting to try matcha for their first time. For how nice the place looks, you'd think they would have quality matcha, but it tastes like watered down, low grade matcha. The first time, I was hoping it was just a slow day and the matcha sat for a bit and watered down. My second time trying the matcha again confirmed it just wasn't the quality I prefer. The Ube taro on the other hand was good. The mushy Milo was also good, just a bit plain. The mango jungle was very good, their fruit drinks are definitely better than the milk teas and worth a try.
