Going to eat alone is sometimes awkward but I have gotten comfortable doing it. I don't really like giving a one star to good food but the service really made me uncomfortable. When I first walked in, I asked if I was supposed to order at the counter first or at the table, the only waiter I saw looked at me like I was crazy for asking. Then I sat and ordered at a table. There weren't many customers inside so I could feel the waiter watching me eat, his interactions felt strange and I did not appreciate how I was being looked at. Ordered Chicken Chow Mein to go. First time, so just wanted to try something since we were on Harding. Flavor was good, nothing spectacular, but good. Nice spice level. Veggies were fine. The chicken however had a real bad taste and the pieces were very inconsistent - almost felt like leftovers from another dish. Totally threw us off. Also, this was not worth $17 by any measure! Box was small (not the big square box that you get at Chinese take outs). If that's the only dish for dinner, it's enough for only one person. I can take spice well so I ordered the 7/10 spicy goat korma, jhol chicken momo with soup, veg samosas, and mango lassi. Service was very attentive but this place is empty people gotta give it a try. Loved their hot vegetable pakoras, so crispy and delicious. Their chowmein was yummy too. Both dishes taste as a good as one can get in Nepal. However, I think they can do better with their momos and it's achar (sauce). Will probably try other dishes than momos next time. Lovely owners! read more

This place has some amazing Nepalese/Indian food. And their spice index is 1-to-10, 10 being hot but not unbearable. We had Chicken 65 on a spice level of 10... amazing !!!It was very good and not too hot that you couldn't taste the spices. Also had the paneer chili and it was also very good at 10. As well had chicken jail momo steamed( like dim-sum) if like pot stickers get pan fried, sauce was great also good for dipping naan in. I would say they have a good mix of food choices either for the spicy lover in you or less if you prefer it a little milder, but I think they have quite a variety of options. This is the kind of place we really want to see succeed! Interior of the restaurant is nice and spacious, the service is good and very kind. But the food is super exciting to have nearby! My husband is from North India, the foothills of the Himalayas. This is the kind of food you find there, I believe the owners are Nepalese. They have Indian dumplings (momo's)- try the veg! The chutneys that come with it are delicious- one is super spicy and one is mild, but even my spice-addicted husband loved the flavor of the mild. We also got the Gobi (cauliflower) Manchurian, which had great flavor, not overpowering, and a delicious crunch. We ordered the chow mein too after loving these dishes so much, it was good- but we added the spicy sauce from the momo's on top for a bit more oomph. We will come back in cooler weather for the Thukpa soup and back sooner to try some of the curries, kathi rolls, etc. When my in laws come next month, I can't wait to bring them here! My husband was really thrilled to have this comfort food closer to home (and I'm so happy to not have to drive to the airport for momo's anymore)! read more

I love trying new places but I am a little skeptical of high ratings when new. They have an interesting menu broken into Indonesian and Asian fusion with Indian as their other main offerings. I wanted to try their lamb dumplings but an order was 9 and for just myself it was too much. I did mention to the server that it would be nice to offer 4 as an appetizer as well as the 9. I had their lamb curry and ordered it medium spicy. It came out almost cold and no spice whatsoever. I did tell them that and they were very nice and I chalk it up to being brand new. I will try it again and make sure they serve it hotter and spicier. Try it as we need to have more diverse restaurants in the Roseville area. read more

We had a surprising and wonderful meal here. Started with veg samosas. They were crispy and nicely filled. Highlight was the chutneys they were served with - mint, tamarind, mango (I think) and hot. All very flavorful My wife had jasmine rice with saag peneer and I had the Veg jhol momo (veg dumplings served with a tasty soup which could have been warm or cold - we went with warm) The only non-great part was the naan which was a little greasy and had been fried We'll be back for sure read more

Really amazing Nepalese/indian food! I was in Roseville for a volleyball tournament with my son. We wanted to find a place that was open somewhat late and this place was open till 9. We got butter naan, a paratha, saag paneer, gobi Manchurian, and fried rice. We got everything to go and every single dish we got was really really good. We actually never tried the Momos but if we're ever back in town (and we will be because there's a lot of volleyball tournaments coming up), will definitely come back to try them... Wow!!! A must try!!! I came across it on Yelp not too long ago and wanted to try it, but it was on the opposite side of town for me. We just happened to get some paint at Sherwin-Williams and saw it. We went ahead and got dinner to go. We got the butter chicken and chicken biryani. We actually ended up eating in the car somewhere which is kind of hard, so I highly recommend eating either at the restaurant or at home. The food was amazing! It was very flavorful and very well balanced. It was so good, my husband and I pretty much ate almost everything even though we were full. The food was very hot (temperature), so be careful taking your first bite. We were asked our spice level too, and requested mild, which it was. For those who are unfamiliar with biryani, be careful of the individual spices, such as a whole peppercorn or cardamom. I've had a biryani I liked somewhat in the Citrus Height area, but it came nowhere close to this one. Also this one is savory with no raisins or nuts. It's not very strong in curry as ones from Indian or other restaurants. My husband commented the butter chicken is a little different from what he's used to from Indian restaurants too, but it's really really good. Better chicken is one of his favorite dishes. I liked it and I'm usually very picky. The person at the cash register was very polite. I think they just opened up at the beginning of this month. I'm sure once word of mouth gets around, they'll be very busy. Even though there was no one at the time we went on a Monday night, there were takeout orders coming out as we were waiting for ours. It's been really hard to find really good food in the area (specifically different types of Asian food) that tastes really good to us and hits the spot. We just really enjoyed the food! We can't wait to go back and try other food. In might be "hard" to find, because the store signage for the name "Everest Chili Pepper" was really small, but the sign for "Indo Chinese Food Nepali's food" is quite large and easy to find. So if you're looking for the store, look for those particular wording. The pictures really does not do it any justice. Again this is our takeout and in our car. It's also an interesting, fun cultural experience too. I highly recommend you try this out! You might be pleasantly surprised! The only cons I can think of right now is that location wise it's not in the newer area of Roseville. Also the pricing might be considered a little high around $16 a dish, but the food is well worth it. read more
