I never feel insulted and I donate those items rather than dealing with the other shops.

For the last 10 years I have for the most part only worn dresses because it's very challenging for me to find pants. Lauren took one look at me and knew exactly what size I was and brought me a few different pairs of pants to try on. I was floored when she brought me this beautiful pair of wide leg pants that I never would've even thought to try on myself. They are my husbands favorite pants on me. Lauren takes pride in everything that she does. Her customer service is by far the best I have ever experienced. She cares about each customer and wants to make sure they are happy with their purchases. She is not pushy either which I appreciate. I thought they were very reasonable and very honest with their pricing and gave me an itemized receipt! I would definitely recommend this shop for really nice quality vintage pieces. We were…read moredressed casually because we'd been out on the lake, and my daughter--who is heading into her senior year--had spotted a beautiful dress in the front window that she thought might be perfect for her senior photos. We walked in, patiently waited while the employee finished helping another customer, and expected at least a simple "Hi, I'll be with you in a moment." Instead, once the customer left, we were completely ignored. Not a greeting, not eye contact, not an acknowledgment that we were standing there. The employee simply started hanging clothes as though we were invisible. It was one of the most unwelcoming retail experiences I've had. The atmosphere came across as elitist and judgmental--as if our casual boating clothes somehow meant we weren't worth acknowledging. The irony is that we absolutely had the means and every intention of buying a dress and supporting a local Kirkland business. Instead, we took our money elsewhere. A boutique should make people feel welcome, regardless of what they're wearing. Unfortunately, this store made us feel judged the moment we walked through the door. I won't be back, and I certainly can't recommend it based on how we were treated.
