My friend literally pulled a sachet of tea out of her bag and we were tempted to ask them to use that instead. The scones were dense but tasty. We were surprised that they were not served with clotted cream. The savory sandwiches were just OK -- pickled cucumbers, smoked salmon, and chicken salad on slightly stale baguettes. There was a slice of red velvet cake, a dry macaron, and a square of a mango mousse reminiscent of those you get at an Asian buffet. 0.5/1 Stars for Value -- We pre-booked online for a regular tea set on a Sunday, it was $39 before tax and tip. If we were rating by sheer picture perfect presentation, sure, your money is well spent. But I would eat before you come and maybe grab some McDs after. 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- Our server was super nice and friendly. It wasn't busy when we went and he let me chill at the table while I waited for my friends to arrive. They also didn't pressure us to leave, coming back multiple times to offer tea refills. Lisa is this most friendly and thoughtful of hostesses and has lovingly put together an upstairs suite (each of 2 rooms sleeps 2 adults, and possibly, one child) full of homey details. It's sort of upscale English/Americana Country Chic with many thoughtful features with the guest in mind. I immediately felt at home: it was quiet, the energy was blissful and we had two great nights. The room was soothing, large, full of awesome reading material and no distractions from outside or the room next door. My man is a vegetarian and we came with a cooler full of eating options. We didn't know, but the room comes well-stocked with Peet's (YES PEET'S!) coffee and Tazo teas. We didn't need our hastily packed paper plates, cups or utensils, because real china, silverware and many other little snacks were provided (free of charge). What a find! For those of your picky Yelpers, there is no "breakfast" at this B&B, but instead they leave you with nice biscuits/scones to accompany your free coffee or tea. You are within one block of the entire downtown Pescadero town, and naturally, you probably want to eat at Duarte's anyway. Sitah and Dale (the owners) and their staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their affable mien, as well as their superb culinary skills, made our stay memorable and deeply satisfying. We chose the East Room. It is lovingly decorated, spacious, and well-furnished. The queen size bed, desks, sofa, mini-fridge, and heater that warms up the toilet seat provide just about all of the creature comforts one needs. The room also has a fire stove to delight the pyromaniacs and a huge, deep stone soaker tub that can easily accommodate two sumo wrestlers (or half a dozen jockeys). A couple of things to note: (1) There's no cell phone reception (at least not T-Mobile or Sprint). But there is free WiFi. (2) While the windows and skylights may infuse the room with a bright and cheery feel, they may make it hard for you to sleep in late. So don't forget to pack your sleep mask.

I am so delighted to now say that Sitah and Dale made the most special day of my life a total dream. After searching up and down the California coast for a place to get married that felt "right", I was feeling pretty disheartened and was ready to throw in the towel. But, on a whim, we decided to take a trek to Bonny Doon on our way to another venue location and I happened upon the Redwood Croft for a potential place for out of town guests to stay. And wouldn't you know it, they mentioned they host events on their website! My now husband and I took a day and drove down the coast from San Mateo and stopped in to chat with Sitah about her home. The place was (is!) stunning and from the moment we set foot on the grounds, we knew it was the perfect place to get married. Sitah and Dale charge a reasonable amount for the 2 night rental of their whole B&B, plus having nearly 100 people on-site for a wedding! It was so magical to spend the night there before the wedding, then to wake up and eat Sitah's homemade blueberry pancakes (which she made a batch gluten free for me! So amazing!) and spend the rest of the day primping and relaxing before we said "I do!" on their beautiful back lawn and garden. They made everything go so smoothly and they opened their home to my family for the weekend -- it made the wedding weekend just sublime. Before we had our big day, the hub and I spent an impromptu overnighter at the Croft, just to get a feel for it. Our night was peaceful (we stayed in the East Room) and I can't wait to go back now and spend special weekends and anniversaries there. Thank you, Sitah and Dale, for making our day a true piece of romance. Our memories will be sweet and our life will be grand and you had a hand in making that come true for us!

It was a very large lovely room with en suite bathroom, also quite large. The room was bright and full of light, decor was upscale vintage and the king bed was soooo comfortable. There was even a vintage mini fridge in the room for snacks or left overs. Both spaces were spotless, very well kept. We had breakfast outside on the deck both mornings that we were there and Chris, our host, made us a different offering each day, with fresh coffee, oj, freshly cut fruit, something eggy and something sweet, we loved it all. We also enjoyed the company of our four legged hosts, Cosmo a statuesque white standard poodle who made sure to always have a toy offering in his mouth upon greeting us and Gracie a slightly pudgy super friendly tabby cat who did what cats do best, lounge in the sun and soak up pets from guests that happen to pass by. We will definitely be back to Lodi for other wine getaway adventures and we hope our room at Bella Vino is available next time we make the trip.

We came up to purchase a couple of kayaks and wanted to be centrally located to the Lodi Lake and downtown. This home is perfectly situated for both. BIG BONUS--- Each room has a bathroom...not all B&B's do and it is a must for me :-). If you need a lot of counter space in the bathroom I would recommend the Downstairs Suite...We were just in town to kayak so I didn't have a lot of stuff but if I needed to use hair tools and good lighting for makeup, I would want to be in the Downstairs Suite. We stayed in the Master Suite and the Black and White Suite. Both rooms are nicely appointed and the beds are SOOOO comfortable. The entire home is clean and cozy, Breakfast was delicious both times and we enjoyed wonderful conversations with the other guests. Check in was very easy and the neighborhood was safe and quite. We had no worries about having our kayaks tied up to our truck overnight. We look forward to coming back!

This was the perfect destination that soothed our souls. The Seals are within walking distance to view! The ocean is literally within steps of this cozy, beautiful inn. Hiking trails all around within walking distance! They let us use comfy bikes everyday which we took advantage of and biked to Half Moon Bay and a few ocean view restaurants. This is a beautiful and clean Bed and Breakfast! We had a gorgeous view of the English Garden from our spacious room. The daily breakfast included fresh berries, egg and cheese, fresh croissant and granola! The unlimited European lattes added a nice touch! We felt so spoiled with the homemade cookies in the afternoon and the free wine tasting in the evening around five. The entire staff was so friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home. The Inn is charming and full of immenities (including Tums). Our rooms were very tastefully furnished and the beds great. The common areas were all inviting. Especially nice were the individually prepared hot breakfasts. But what really made our stay remarkable was the Innkeeper Josie, who truly went out of her to make our stay enjoyable as well as comfortable. We had an early morning flight out of SFO and she got up early to prepare our breakfast at 6:30 so we could depart by 7. This was way, way above the expected. Kudos to her. If you ever find youself in the Bay area, this is the place you'd want to stay!

Although there were other guests, we only came across one other person in passing on the stairs. Plenty of parking in the driveway. Only small thing that could be improved was the outdoor deck furniture cushions of our suite could have used a good cleaning but I suppose it's a little more difficult to keep fabric clean outside. We had the tasty made-to-order breakfast two of the three mornings (saw the resident squirrel scrambling all over in the trees), innkeeper Ann was talkative and extremely accommodating. We also met Maria our last morning, great cook. We have already decided to stay here on our next trip to the Bay Area.
