Rating Breakdown: 1/2 Stars for Taste -- The tea probably came off the local supermarket shelf, which is fine, but let's just say that we are pretty serious about our tea. My friend literally pulled a sachet of tea out of her bag and we were tempted to ask them to use that instead. The scones were dense but tasty. We were surprised that they were not served with clotted cream. The savory sandwiches were just OK -- pickled cucumbers, smoked salmon, and chicken salad on slightly stale baguettes. There was a slice of red velvet cake, a dry macaron, and a square of a mango mousse reminiscent of those you get at an Asian buffet. 0.5/1 Stars for Value -- We pre-booked online for a regular tea set on a Sunday, it was $39 before tax and tip. If we were rating by sheer picture perfect presentation, sure, your money is well spent. But I would eat before you come and maybe grab some McDs after. 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- Our server was super nice and friendly. It wasn't busy when we went and he let me chill at the table while I waited for my friends to arrive. They also didn't pressure us to leave, coming back multiple times to offer tea refills. My friends stayed and chatted for almost 4 hours. No bonus star because, even though the ostriches are cool, would not come back again for the afternoon tea.

My husband and I visited to see family and we had a pleasant time here at the Hyatt House!…read more PARKING Lots of parking around the property-- no overnight fee! I appreciated that there were spots just right in front of our room. SERVICE We opted to not receive room service so I can't attest to its quality. However, our check in and check out processes went smoothly. Very quiet, no complaints of noise around us. ROOMS We were upgraded to a two-bedroom suite which was plenty of space for just the two of us. Ours was located on the second floor and I didn't look too hard but there weren't elevators around-- just a heads up for those who might need one. The two rooms and two bathrooms were spacious. The living room had a pull out couch. There was a booth dining table that seats 4 and the desk worked perfectly for my husband who needed to work. Each room also had their own desks. The kitchen was equipped with a stove, microwave, and fridge-- ample for anyone who has to stay for a longer period of time. I always appreciate when hotel rooms have a full body mirror, so thank you for having one. AMENITIES We didn't get to enjoy the pool but we were impressed with the gym! It had 3 treadmills, 1 Peloton, 2 ellipticals, and 1 low bike. They also had medicine balls and dumbbells, but no bench or barbells. Unfortunately, the temperature inside was locked so it got warm pretty fast. BREAKFAST I appreciated their made-to-order omelets on top of their regular continental breakfast which included eggs, bacon, waffles, and fruits. There were plenty of seats in the lobby with TVs around. OVERALL I would definitely stay here again if we were to come back to Pleasanton! Great value for its price.

An amazing stay! My…read morefriend has been staying at Hyatt House for an extended stay and had me over for a few nights. I was amazed by the property and its many amenities. This hotel is set-up much like a nice apartment complex. Her room was the One Bedroom King Suite. It was very spacious and has everything you may need for a long stay. The bed was comfortable (but lacked in pillows in my opinion). The sofa easily converts into a bed which is nice for having guests over. The kitchen is fully loaded with all the necessary dishes and utensils. The bathroom is a little small but the vanity is huge. The closet is also very spacious. There are large TVs in both the living and bedrooms which is a nice touch. The amenities are great too. There is a basketball/pickleball court, pool, grill, and hot tub outside. It feels very communal. People are always lounging out at the tables and around the pool. There are also fire pits to relax at. There is a nice gym, market, and small lobby bar. There is also complementary breakfast every morning (which is actually very good). They offer omelets made fresh to order with other items that rotate daily. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating! One thing I did notice is that after a while, even with the constant room service and a clean room, the room develops a little bit of a stale smell. Unfortunately, the windows don't open, but if you leave the door open, it will air out. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Adj: a no nonsense hotel in the heart of East Bay…read more On a short vacation, we stayed at La Quinta by Wyndham Dublin - Pleasanton. It's in a pretty nice part of East Bay so we did not anticipate any problems and it was a good stay. This hotel was quite peaceful and quiet for being pretty full on the one night we stayed. Staff were friendly, we did not have much interactions with any of them. The young man at check-in seemed a bit nonchalant and not the most courteous, but he ended up placing us in a large accessible room and the beds were a little bigger or at least taller and the shower being accessible was actually really nice b/c it was spacious and the water did NOT go all over the place, thankfully. On the next morning, we always look forward to fueling up. Breakfast was plentiful although a meat-based sausage was missing and desired over the veggie sausage rounds that were served. At least there were hard boiled eggs instead of egg substitutes type of scrambled eggs or "egg omelet" made with fake eggs (Holiday Inn Express' specialty, bleh). There were even biscuits w/gravy and country fried potatoes. I didn't try the biscuits, but I did have a bit of gravy over a bit of potatoes and over a couple of those veggie sausages that didn't taste too bad. However, I know the veggie sausages are probably made w/some soy protein isolates and who knows what other interesting ingredients, so even though they tasted almost real, I only had a couple of them. Interestingly, they also had bean & cheese burritos and guacamole for breakfast, and my kids really enjoyed them. I really like the guac myself. Of course the DIY waffle bar was a hit with everyone, there was quite a queue for that waffle maker. We liked the variety of choices at breakfast and that it was a hot breakfast with many items of all kinds. So generally a good breakfast, the staff refilling it was efficient and friendly. The breakfast area was pretty hot though, need a couple of fans to make up for the open area where the air conditioning ends up cooling the 1st floor but the 2nd floor was quite warm. A couple other notes: the fitness center was bigger and had more equipment than expected so that was nice, but the machines were older and off brand, though they worked well enough. We didn't use the pool and spa, but they looked a little bit dirty but upon closer look, it's that the surface of the pool and spa have been discolored and probably not dirty Overall, it was a good short stay here and we'd come back for another stay, as this La Quinta was ok, not the best, but plenty good enough.

We arrived after dinner so can't speak on whether the room would be ready by check in, but I would say probably so. We had a good stay, so mostly pros. Pros: - spacious entrance lobby and nice staircases, kind of "grand" looking - room was pretty clean, just importantly the beds were very clean - accessible room was extra spacious, not sure why we got that but nicely appointed - beds were firm but still comfortable - hot breakfast was quite a spread, missed real meat vs veggie sausage rounds, but the waffle maker was a hit with the kids. - multiple kinds of non dairy and dairy milk plus several juices, I enjoyed the guava especially Cons: - 2nd floor hallway and the breakfast area was warm. Bc all the AC coolness of the open space meant it all went to the ground floor. - a little bit worn in certain areas of the bedroom, just normal wear and tear, nothing serious but shows the hotel was definitely remodeled but at least a few years back. All in all, a more than adequate and pretty good stay. We will probably stay here again.

5/5 -- Outstanding Service and an Even Better Team…read more My stay at Larkspur Landing Pleasanton has been nothing short of exceptional. From day one, the service desk has gone above and beyond to help me, and their dedication to solving any issue I've had has truly stood out. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the manager, whose professionalism and willingness to help made a real difference during my stay. The entire staff has been wonderful -- patient, friendly, and consistently supportive. I'll admit it: I lock my key in my room constantly, they are very professional and secure when they help me each time and without a single complaint or hint of frustration. Their kindness and understanding mean more than they know. I'm also incredibly grateful for their on‑call cleaning service. Having support available when needed, rather than being locked into rigid schedules, has made my stay even more comfortable and convenient. For an extended stay the $100 pet fee is an amazing deal, especially compared to what other hotels charge. It's refreshing to see a property that's both pet‑friendly and fairly priced. Overall, for the budget‑friendly price, my expectations were more than met. I'm genuinely thankful for the work this team does every day -- they've made my stay feel easy, welcoming, and well taken care of.

I have stayed here a few times many years ago and it was decent.. not anymore! It feels like a Motel 6 entering these outdated smelly guest rooms. I went out to purchase spray to neutralize the smell and used bottled water to brush my teeth because it feels so yuck in this place. I see that they now consider themselves an extended stay type of place... if I had known that I would not have booked this room... those type places are always gross. I would not recommend this place to anyone that I know, and I will definitely not stay here again when visiting the Bay Area.

Carpets were clean and the Hotel was clean and modern. Air Conditioning was very loud in our room so we couldn't use it, pretty warm. WiFi, like almost every Marriott, is just terrible. Not sure how they attract any business people at all. Our room had almost NO WiFi at all, and it was only useable if you went to the lobby - and that was their solution - hardly a solution when most of the business that we conduct is in our room, early in the morning, with a decent WiFi connection. We travel a lot for business, so much that we are Platinum at Marriott, but they clearly need to do something about their business model, get some decent WiFi for their rooms!

Because of some repair work happening at our house, my wife and stayed at this Marriot for 8 nights…read morethis past August. We live in Oakland and we chose this Marriot because of the price, because we could earn Marriot Bonvoy points/nights towards status, and it gave us a reason to explore the Pleasanton/Dublin/Livermore region of the East Bay while still being close to Oakland. First thing I'll mention is this hotel seems to be very dog friendly, which not all hotels are. We brought our dog and it seemed like several guests brought their dog. The room was pretty spacious and met our needs. We got housekeeping to clean our room twice and they did a the staff did a thorough job. On the second night when it got colder in the evening, we noticed that the heat wasn't working, when we told the front desk the next morning they had someone work on it that day, when we got back to the room later that day we could feel and hear the air moving. I didn't try the pool (which looked nice) but I tried the gym was seemed pretty well stocked with working machines and weights. My wife has Bonvoy status which gave us access to the M Lounge which was really great because they was a pretty decent breakfast station including hot items, as well as hot food items from 5-7pm and dessert (usually some sort of cake) from 7-9pm. They had a fridge with cold drinks and a specialty coffee maker (could make coffee, lattes, and hot chocolates/mochas) which could be accessed throughout the day and night. I did want to shout-out the Lone Oak (hotel bar and restaurant). I went one evening and had some good whiskey based cocktails including a New York Sour, not everywhere makes it well. For a bunch of the days my wife and I worked in the hotel and I wanted to say the wifi worked pretty well (hotel wifi isn't always good). There's a big parking lot, and the hotel in a good location, including easy freeway (580) access, and being close to a lot of different restaurants and shopping areas, like Stoneridge Mall which is within walking distance (Pleasanton isn't huge). Plus we drive a Tesla and there are numerous Tesla superchargers and level 2 chargers within less than a mile away. Staying for 8 nights we got a good sense in how the place runs, and again, overall good customer service. I'm a local so probably wouldn't stay there often, but I'd recommend it.
