I have been to this store 7 times since it opened...I refuse to stand in line to get into a store. It's a stupid concept, and it seems to not matter what time of the day, or day of the week... there has always been a line, even when it seems like there aren't that many people inside the store. I've been shopping on Everlane.com for 3 years, and was really excited to check out the store when it opened. After having visited the store a couple of times, I've decided to not return to the store and continue shopping online mainly for the following 2 reasons: 1) Customer Service: The staff was indifferent. I was never greeted or approached by the sales associates to check if I needed any help (and I did!). As I was trying on the clothes in the fitting room, I even overheard two employees either complaining or arguing about something, which I thought was very unprofessional. 2) Lack of shopping bags: I picked out 5 articles of clothing (including 3 pairs of jeans) that I wanted to try on. Since the wait for the fitting room was pretty long, and there was no where to sit (all the stools were occupied). I had to carry all the clothes while waiting, which was pretty inconvenient moving through the store. It'd be great if they could provide shopping bags/baskets for their customers. That being said, although my shopping experience at the store was not satisfactory, I still remain a loyal customer of Everlane and will continue shopping on their website. I'm just hoping that they will improve their in-store shopping experience for their customers, as I really hope they do well. read more

I walked into the store during the day (around 12 pm) and it was pretty empty. Maddie helped me and she is quite literally the best sales associate I have ever spoken to. She never pressured me to purchase anything, but was diligent and thorough when providing me with alternate options to the items or sizes Everlane didn't cary in store. She was attentive and positive, overall and honest with the styling choices. She also estimated sizes which were two sizes too small, which honestly is a pro in her favor because it made me feel great. The team in general was always willing to help out whenever Maddie was busy, and I felt well taken care of without feeling suffocated. Thank you! read more

some staff was helpful but others (specifically those "helping" in the shoe section today) were not helpful and were very cold. these staff members had loud conversations about unrelated topics amongst themselves, forcing customers to listen to things they dont care about and also made customers feel like they were interrupting when asking for help. all in all, a good deal of awkward, uncomfortable interactions with rude staff in this store. read more

Don't do it! Think about this, wait in line up to 45 minutes to get into the store. When you finally find something you may want to try on, again, you wait for you buzzy to go off for a changing room (15 - 30 min, feel like hours...). Finally, you feel after this much trouble, you have already invested 90+ minutes of your time, you should just buy something. Believe it or not, you wait in line to pay!!!! On top of everything, what they have is nothing special. I walked out. Didn't buy anything. I would never go back there. You can get the same things at J Crew, maybe even H&M for a lot less. I am not quite sure why Yelp ratings on this store are 2.5 stars. I'll read the reviews after I post mine. I visited the lab and the service was very good. This time I visited the Valencia store and was blown away by the service. I arrived with my 19 month old grandbaby, and was greeted by a gentleman. I told him the shoes I wanted to try & the clothes. He directed me to another area who could help with clothes. He did bring my shoes to the dressing room. I proceeded to tell the women I was on a mission and the list of items I wanted to try. I ended up with being serviced by Alex! She was a doll; super customer focused, told me the pluses of the items I wanted. I was tryin to decide between the V slingback or the block heel sandal. She was great in helping me decide on the block heel sandal and the blue color! The kick crop I wanted was a great fit though a tad long. Alex pulled up the leg and told me specifically where to cut it when I get home. She stood by to help me decide how the clothes fit on me and was very truthful! She was quick, sweet and focused. She helped get me out of the store before my 19 month old had enough!! Thank you, Alex. The store is so lovely, clean and bright inside. Parking isn't the greatest, but I must have gone at an off time, because I was lucky to find metered parking. Great store, I will go there again next time I'm in San Francisco. read more

I'm not a Yelper. I don't like ragging in businesses. In fact, this is my first review but I am here to back everyone else's reviews referencing the really bad customer service. There were probably 20 people working on the floor and they were all talking to each other about their lives or trying on the new cashmere sweater in the dressing rooms. It was really strange? No one helped me! Literally, 0 out of 20 offered to assist me. I'm fairly short and couldn't get to the jeans I wanted and had to interrupt a guy at the dressing room who was half-dressed, one arm in one arm out in said cashmere sweater to reach the jeans. Pretty shiesty shopping experience, wouldn't shop there. It seemed like everyone working there was just in it for the employee discount. I stopped into Everlane on a weekday around 1:00pm. There was no line and the store was pretty pleasant to shop in. I have purchased tops on their website, but wanted to check out the sizing on their jeans. I dread having to shop for jeans and totally avoid the experience until I absolutely need a new pair. Hannah was working the floor and very helpful and attentive as I tried on a bunch of styles and sizes. I had to wait only a few minutes for a dressing room. Came here for the first weekend of their grand opening. All I can say is that I loved the lay out of their "pop up shop" as well as the Shoe Park. I really enjoyed the coffee from Lady Falcon as well as how efficient they were. Considering the long lines, we got in there pretty quick. I recall I've gotten a cashmere long sleeve on that day, it's feels great to the touch. And I've stopped by 3 others times just on impulse, I've gotten a weekender bag and at least a few button ups. I went on a Friday evening at 7pm (no line!) and I don't think this store lives up to all the hype. They seem to have a very limited selection in store compared to online and their products didn't have descriptions, only SKUs on the tags. I had to ask a store associate to identify the clothing I was looking at so I could cross reference it with greater variety available online. Nice to have a physical store to try on items for size. Wished they had better stock of popular sizes. Waited about 25 mins on a busy Sunday afternoon to get into the store. While waiting in line an employee asked if I had any items in mind to check if they even had my size in stock at the store. Lots of people were trying on the jeans. They sell basic essentials, some in nice colors and some pretty pricey for the quality ($25 for a long sleeve shirt made in Vietnam). Women's shirts looked like I would need to size down. They sell nice looking minimalistic Italian-made shoes. Shoe sizes seem to differ by style. Not all the shoes on display had prices on them, so I had to go to the iPad along the wall to check. Tried on the editor slingbacks on display which was half a size down from my usual. It was comfortable with leather soles and the quality seemed nice (hope it is for the price...). Also tried on loafers half a size down from my usual, but my heel was nowhere close to getting in. There was only one SA manning the women's shoe section although many people were looking at the shoes. I flagged the SA down for the slingbacks and waited awhile until the SA told me they sold out of my size in store, but can order it at the register and have it shipped to me for free. Decided to just order online myself at home. There is currently free shipping for first time customers. Refer a friend with your link and earn $25 credit when they purchase. read more

Service was subpar. Went in looking for a mule. Had to demand help from the long hair dude staring at me. Yes I am a stylish male looking for a mule... and. Another attendant brings me my shoes then offers me a style in a different color because they did not have the one I wanted (very helpful and nice) other attendant who was staring overhears me complaining that they are way to small and I say yeah like two sizes and he reply's " no just size and a half" ¿ mute point!! They dont fit! Then I try another ( the slip-on that can be a mule and exclaimed how it was garish ( very lazy looking for price buy same thing on ebay from morocco for way cheaper) and he says they are a best seller note he was nowhere near me... Ok way to be helpful. Maybe you should be working instead of hanging on the clothing rack people are trying to shop on. As I left 4 employees were just standing and chatting no one really attending me but then again I am not a white female tech worker... You should train your staff how to deal or at least attend to customers. Coming from someone who was a VM for 8 years snd now owns their own business.. Bottom line store is very basic feels like Zara/H&M made an America Apparel. If you are looking for shoes I would check out Intentionally Blank, much friendly and better consistent sizes. I'll start by saying I am a HUGE fan of Everlane - the brand, the company and the product. The store was a really poor reflection of all of the above. There was VERY limited product - all specialty seasonal stuff, and NONE of the basics. Literally not a single solid colored silk blouse of any fit/sleeve length. There were limited sizes, and most of the sizes on display had makeup stains all over them - so even if I wanted to, I couldn't buy it. The staff, while somewhat nice - could not explain to me why they had limited sizes, limited products, and were indifferent that their merchandise was stained and still for sale. As a clicks-to-brick store, this is a chance for Everlane to get new customers and engage/keep their existing ones. I took an Lyft all the way from downtown at rush hour to come to the store to stock up on my favorite basics in a bunch of colors, only to find they had maybe 9 styles of really polarizing seasonal prints, which were not offered in my size, and the nearest size had makeup stains. I took a lyft right back home. Everlane, you can do so much better, I believe in you! I really hope you will engage your customers about their experience to inform the space design, merchandising, employee interface, and overall client experience. read more

Like many others I have been trying to find a phone number since I'm getting no response from customer support. I paid $25 for overnight delivery for a gift and the recipient hasn't received it a week later. No response from anyone. Supposedly went FedEX but that just means that it ends up at the USPS for local delivery so kiss that $25 goodbye. I will never order from them again. read more

Very cold and snooty staff that made me feel like a burden when I asked for a quick size run in the shoe section. I asked for another size run for a t-shirt and the sales associate shoved it into my hand and immediately ran off to chat with her friends. After standing in line for close to 30 mins to get into a relatively empty store I expected much better customer service. I guess I'm just a big fan and really excited there is a physical store. I've only visited during the week as there's no way I'm going to wait in line to get into a store, and would suggest others do the same if they're bothered by crowds. Since Everlane is new to retail stores, they could learn from others about a few basic things to make the experience better. I understand wanting to be unique, but it works better if things are straightforward like: -having the same item in different colors and sizes in one place -not putting foldable items up high--as a customer i don't want to have to pull the whole pile down to find my size and then feel bad about ruining the folding -labels on what kind of jeans are where (was confused by hanging jeans i couldn't reach but then were down below in a different place) -clear place to put the items you didn't want after trying them on Also the physical space could use a bit more warmth to match the neighborhood better. As it is it signals "gentrification central" and that's not a good thing. As someone who would love to try new items that have just become available online *in* the store, it would be great if those were well-stocked. I would visit more if that was more of an intentional goal in having a physical store, rather than taking a more "gallery" style approach of showcasing select items. Was told that I was next in line for an available room. While I was hanging around waiting for a fitting room, I noticed that the attendant lead someone to a fitting room. The staff especially in the shoe area were very rude and judgmental. One of them had a perpetual sullen look on her face. I had ordered a pair of jeans a while back and my order still hasn't shipped yet. I received an email from Everlane stating they are working on shipping my order within the next 5 days. My order still hadn't shipped 5 days later and I couldn't find any customer service number to call. Apparently, Everlane only has a number you can text and some bot responds back to you hours later and basically stated they can't do anything and that my order will ship within the next 5 days. I messaged back stating I received an email 5 days earlier stating the same thing and my order still hasn't shipped yet. No one responded after that and they stated to enter "solved" if my case was solved. What an incredibly disappointing experience and I most likely will not be ordering from Everlane again. Don't waste your time at this store. If you do need to purchase anything from Everlane, I highly recommend purchasing it online. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a line just to get into the store. There was probably 5 people in front of me and it took literally 20 minutes to get in. All the while, people walking by would ask why we were waiting in line. Once we were allowed to enter the store, there were not many shoppers at all! How annoying is that!? It's a pretty lame marketing tool to lure folks in at the expense of their customers' time. I shopped around anyways and wanted to try on a pair of shoes. For a store that doesn't allow a lot of customers in the store at one time so they can provide "a pleasant shopping experience", I expected exceptional customer service. An awful experience. Ordered $400 in gifts for my daughter for Christmas. Arrived promptly, but the washable silk tie cuff blouse ($110) is stained, smells of body odor and is wrinkle like it wash just pulled out of the bottom of a laundry hamper. Guess what? I went to shop at Everlane on a Sunday. The store was not busy and I was surprised that no one greeted me and the sales associates were very indifferent and had no customer engagement. They were not well versed on size/ color and fit of shoes and were really disinterested in selling any product to me. I came in for a specific shoe and I was told it was shipped out to make room for new product. I was not given any other options or enthusiasm about ordering the product. Several sales associates were standing around while there was a line at the cash desk. There was an empty computer and no one jumped on. The sales associates were really unexperienced and young and disinterested! I have ordered online and really like the products but the company really needs to re-vamp hiring at their showroom! Received the reverse denim tote bag in Oct. 2018 in anticipation of traveling in 2019. Did not use the bag right away as travel was booked for July 2019. Packed it as the carry-on for the trip. It was not overly filled. At the airport, waiting for departure on a connecting flight, the stitching on the handles (2 of 4) began to unravel. Had not even lasted 5 hrs. By the end of the 2 week trip, both handles' stitching had unraveled half the length of the straps. Everlane would not accept return because it was past the 60 day return policy, even though this was the first time used. Inferior workmanship for machine stitching. read more

Let's start off with I love everlane! I own a few pieces. I was so excited to visit the store for the first time. I'm out of state so you can imagine how excited I was. Walked in, i wasn't greeted at all. Started shopping around and still no one said hi, all employees looks at us up and down. And continue to chat around. My boyfriend touched a shirt and the girl was right behind him fixing it. She didn't acknowledge him but made sure to show she was not happy with him touching a tee. I left empty handed and decided to go somewhere else and shop. I'm so sad because i probably wouldn't go back to that store ever again. I like Everlane products. My biggest complaint is they take forever to ship. If you place an order on the weekend, it may not ship until the END of the following week, shipped ground, and you won't get it for another 7-10 days. That ends up being almost three weeks from time of order. Every once in a while they will do a promo for two day shipping but otherwise, they ship orders at a snail's pace. read more

I came in excited to try on their tank bra because I always see it on Instagram. They had a few hanging up but you couldn't actually try them on. When I asked if there was any I could try on I was told no and that I'd have to buy it first and I could return it if I didn't like it. That to me sounds like a bad business model. I fully understand not trying on underwear but not being able to try on a bra is an absurd idea. There is not a single bra in the world that can fit every woman the same so to not let their customers try it on first seems like they need the sales. I was super excited because they are size including but the things I did try on seem either too pricey for basic and cheap fabric and the shorts(which I was excited about) were not meant for someone my size. I tried on a 14 and it's clear to me the company designed something for someone way smaller than me and then just changed the portions without even fitting them to an actual model. I'm disappointed and wish I would have read the reviews on yelp first. It seems to me like they opened a business with some good ideas but they aren't quite sure how to implement them correctly. I was so excited when I found this store that I had reached out to several friends to tell them about it. I loved Everlane's style and ideology so much because it finally felt like I had found a singular location that could cover my style range while remaining distanced from fast-fashion. Everlane is amazing if you're lucky enough to not encounter any problems with your order whatsoever. My entire order was destroyed in a post-office fire during the Minneapolis riots in May; this fate was confirmed by the post-office and they gave me documentation to provide to Everlane as verification of my story (plus shipment tracking still shows that it was never delivered). I have now spent the last 6 weeks trying to get a customer service response to no avail. I have tried emailing them 5 times and submitted 2 customer service tickets and still have not received a single response - even though I had stated that I would like to simply just re-order what was destroyed with few new items added to my original order. I now am in the process of contacting my card company to get my money back for me. Unfortunately, I do not have any trust in Everlane as a company whatsoever and will never order from them again as the potential headache and thievery is just not worth good-looking pieces of expensive fabric. Doesn't take long to confirm that this isn't just a fluke, and that many, many people are experiencing the same issues with this company. read more
