I have been a member for the past 1 1/2 years and their spray tanning formula for the versa and mystic tan used to be pretty good. I usually got a nice tan after being sprayed. This past June, Itan ,raised their prices on the spray tanning even for members who are paying the monthly fee. Now, it cost $6 and the spray tan is at such a low level I'm not noticing any color after using the versa or mystic tan. Very disappointing and I am not happy . The staff turnover is frequent at this location and they implement different rules depending on who the customer is. read more

I had the best experience at iTan Lake Forest. The facility was clean and well kept. Fayth was welcoming with a smile and provided such genuine service. I called 40 minutes before they closed and ask when their last session was, and they said 6:45 pm. I got there at 6:44pm and the doors were locked and no one was in there. Whoever closed on December 17th deserves to be fired. What a waste of time. Plus, the girl hung up on me too. Atleast couldv'e told the truth, rude girl. My wife and I were long term customers of the previous owners of Tan at the Islands. Unfortunately the owners sold out and the name was changed to iTAN. I was initially told by iTAN in April that no changes would be made to our account and our prepaid tanning sessions would transfer over easily. In April I was able to use the spa without issues. Today I tried using the spa to spray tan. The girl that assisted me pulled up my account and asked if I have been to iTAN before. I answered "yes in April." She stated that she saw that I was there in April, after digging deeper into my account. She asked what level of tan I wanted. Then she started telling me that I had two more spray tan sessions left and that they had new packages to offer. I said thank you and that I only wanted to spray tan today and would consider a new package to purchase later. She then went on to tell me, after turning down a new purchase, that I didn't have enough credits to spray tan and that it would cost $35. I told her that she initially stated me that I had two sessions left. She stated that the new owners changed their policies and could honor my previously purchased sessions. Bottom line- I was treated unfairly and totally mislead and on the status of my account. This place told me two different stories and should treat their customers better. This spa know nothing about customer service and the value of a long term client. Hopefully the staff will be given more training. I miss the previous owners- mom and pop shops know how to treat people fairly. Avoid the high pressure sales tactics of this place. read more

Not a good experience here, every time I come in the girls are super pushy but the past few times I've come in another girl will be checking me in and the other girl called Lala I think is so pushy and its just too much, not only that but she does not know what she's talking about since every time she tries to sell something to me someone interrupts her to correct her, I would like to come in and use the services I pay for without being ambushed. the sad thing is that I've bought expensive things there, like a bottle of the photo serum, from a different girl, I really liked her she had black hair and big blue eyes but I don't see her anymore. I understand trying to sell things but at least know what you are talking about. read more

This place is awesome! I went in for the 7 days for $7 deal and am hooked. I initially went in with the intention of only using the tanning beds to prep for my vacation, but I love all of the other services they offer too. My favorite is the beauty angel red light therapy booth. I'm not sure if it made a huge difference in my skin since I only used it 4 times, but it felt amazing. The girls here are also very friendly and patiently answered the million questions I had about everything. I do wish they offered all of the same services as the San Clemente location since this location is much closer to home, but it's still a great deal. read more

I have been coming here since it an transferred from the previous owners. I absolutely LOVE it and have been a member since they opened! The cost is MUCH less than any other tanning salon I've been to. Not only do I have access to all of the tanning beds, I'm also able to use any of the spray tans, and the Beauty Angel and Fit body wrap! Everyone one of the girls here are awesome, Haily, Nicole, Mady, Gabby, Ella! If I missed one of you you'll be mentioned again! Good at first. The remolded the whole thing, but still were operating. Inside looks very nice now, however the floors are very dusty. Sometimes tanning beds are not cleaned thoroughly, you can see streaks of someone else's tanning lotion... They only offer 3 spa services. Personally, I do not feel that the price they charge is worth 3 spa services. One of them is teeth whitening, and it doesn't work that well. You have to buy "trays" and apparently to get the maximum results you have to buy "3 trays" Keep in mind, these trays are not included in the monthly due you pay for the spa services. You should also know that 3 trays cost nearly the same as the monthly dues for the spa services. Tanning lotions are pricey here. It would help if staff is a little more knowledgeable about the products they are trying to sell you. Remember that the tanning lotion you smell at the front desk, will not smell the same in the bed. Ask for a sample of the lotion before you commit. They do not offer airbrush tans, only machine spray tans. Overall, not really impressed. The level 1 beds definitely work better than the level 5 beds!! read more

I absolutely love this tanning salon for multiple reasons. 1. The staff is so friendly. I feel like you never find this at tanning salons. It's normally high-school kids with attitudes for some odd reason. The women here are sweet, caring and have upbeat personalities. 2. This place is insanely clean. Everything is well organized, smells clean, looks clean. They keep their beds in tip top condition. 3. The pricing isn't bad at all. You can get monthly package deals and memberships that you can cancel at any time without being locked into a long contract. I will absolutely continue to come here. read more

They are remodeling so at first I was not going to buy a membership but there prices are to amazing. She told me the beds they are getting will be so top notch its worth it! WOW! I am super happy this company (iTAN) took over from the prior company... The girls working here are all very knowledgeable, happy, and seem to genuinely like working at the salon. I had a couple spray tans left over from the prior salon and they transferred over no problem. The first time I went to use one the Versa machine was not working... it was a big bummer as I had plans for the weekend but I did receive a phone call from the salon a couple of days later letting me know if was back up and running... I thought that was awesome they followed up with me. On my 2nd attempt to spray tan the girl helping me was super friendly and definitely knew her stuff! I decided on a level 2 bronze with after moisturizer. I knew almost immediately that I did not get the bronzer... bummer. I let the nice girl at the front know and she was very apologetic but inside I definitely was bummed... The one upside was the smell of my tan was very pleasant and not the familiar bronze spray tan I was accustomed too... Well my frown was turned upside down the next morning when I woke up with the most glorious spray tan!!! AHHHHHHHH! It was the best spray tan I have ever gotten and I have spray tanned for like 20 years!! Yes I am that old! So run do not walk to this salon... super friendly staff and great spray tans!! They are so patient and personable - they treated me like a great friend and genuinely wanted to help me find the right package for me. Idk what's going on but my tan is nonexistent. First I played with spray tan with the beds and got crazy dark which was great but it was always blotchy and it rubbed off in the shower. Usually these last a full week on me and don't noticeably flake off my skin. Usually it gradually just fades away on me. Then I decided to just do the tan bed and I always get super tan in beds but these beds give me zero color. I even bought the expensive lotion the girl told me to buy and put a sticker to see my tan after and nothing was there. I really wanted to like this place but I'm not new to sprays and beds and the sprays and beds here are most definitely not tanning me like other salons I typically use. Photo Facial I've used at other places and got compliments and way noticeable difference in my skin. Nothing noticeable with this changed either... Not worth $103 a month at all. Maybe they don't change their lights or have the same product as others do but again I tan easily and nothing happened for me here. No clue why I'm not tanned by now. read more
