On the outside you wouldn't think nothing about this spot but once you come inside it's like you stepped into a wholenatha place! The inside is beautiful and welcoming, the customer service is amazing! As for food: Duck Noodle Hibachi - A+ This was the most wonderful dish I have tasted. The duck was so tender and amazing. The noodles added a great touch to a hibachi style dish and the flavors they put into this were amazing! Smashed Turkey Burger - C+ This was okay. I loved the idea of a smashed turkey burger but it's hard to cook turkey like beef. Turkey meat loses its juice the longer it's cooked(can't cook turkey too long) especially if it's smashed and that what happened here. The burger was dry but did like the fresh veggies on the burger and THE FRIES!!! The fries were killer, they put some kind of crack seasoning on them cuz I cleared those in seconds. Not Yo Mama Cajun Chicken Pasta - A This was definitely a great pasta! The chicken was cooked perfectly as well as the noodles. The sauce had the little spice to it from the Cajun seasoning and I'll definitely get this again! Red Foxx Fish & Grits - A- I gave this dish this grade because the catfish was amazing as well as the shrimp. Also the grits were made with Gouda cheese with elevated the dish as well as the other flavors. Oh the desserts simple A - they both were amazing!! Banana pudding had actual banana in them. Get that Arnold Palmer - I know you'll enjoy it!

Now this spot rocks with big flavors. The owners are so friendly and everything is sooooo delicious. So #stlouispescatarianapproved I got the shrimp burger because I rarely get to get a burger and it came with Gouda cheese. Holy smokes. My friend got the catfish and I snuck several bites. The spot is cute.

Delicious food!! Yummy drinks, friendly staff and nice patio. You can't confront with anything on the menu.

The staff is…read morestellar and the food is AMAZING--especially that Medart Burger, a dish with a rich (and kinda greasy) Saint Louis history. Sidewinder Fries are spiral-cut wedges that come with just enough seasoning. The falafel pita is a great vegetarian choice... seriously, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. There's always a nice selection of craft beers on tap for about $7/pour, as well as a smattering of AB products and other national brands in cans. Beer is wonderfully cold. The bar is well-stocked--especially with local spirits--and the bartenders here know their stuff, making drinks to order and advising what to try if you ask. I'm usually interested in trying a gin or bourbon I haven't had, and they're quick to make recommendations and talk about what's on the shelf. The Drawing Board has a nice-sized bar area with pool tables, darts, and chalkboards, as well as a cool patio. There's a small parking lot on the east (right side of the building), as well as ample street parking just west of the bar on Oak Hill. If you like pub trivia, drop by on a Thursday and test your knowledge and memory!

Parking is very limited, I got lucky to get a spot, so on a weekend evening I'd consider ride share otherwise you may be stuck parking blocks away. Beer was reasonably priced at $4-$5 for domestic. There was a group of people playing Magic The Gathering which was intriguing.

The proteins are phenomenally seasoned and cooked to perfection and paired with the right sides to really enhance the flavor of, in our case, duck and steak. I am a potato enthusiast and their fingerling potatoes are seasoned and cooked perfectly. The steak has a wonderful shaved salt on top and incredible crust. Amazing steak. No notes. The cocktails are perfect. Several unique cocktails well-balanced. The service is exceptional and they are very knowledgeable about gluten that made me feel very safe! The flourless cake with candied lemon peel is incredible but you need to eat it in three seatings because it's amazingly rich. 5/5 stars, no notes.

We started with a few expertly crafted cocktails and browsed their impressive beer and wine list. Their orange wine selection may be the largest I've ever seen, very unique and a great option if you're looking to try something different. The menu offers a nice mix of shareable small plates and larger entrées, and honestly, everything sounded tempting. We decided to share several dishes, including the Royal Trumpet Mushrooms, Beef Short Ribs, Crispy Artichokes, and the Stracciatella. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. If I had to choose a favorite, it would easily be the Royal Trumpet Mushrooms. They were incredibly savory with a rich, almost meaty flavor that made them the standout of the evening. The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming, and the restaurant has a cozy neighborhood atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and enjoy the evening. I will absolutely return to explore more of the menu.

I'd say it's definitely a "sharing" spot, which I love, perfect for a group of friends, but also great for solo entrées since the portions work either way. During my visit, there was a bit of a delay: our pizza dish took longer than our pastas, but our server handled it really well and stayed super sweet throughout. So, it didn't take away too much from the experience. Overall, this place is a hidden gem. I was surprised it wasn't busier, considering how great the food and service were. Just a heads-up: parking can be really tricky since it's neighborhood street parking, so if you get lucky, you get lucky. Definitely worth a visit!

Only one girl was working the floor, she did a great job, but sometimes the wait could be long. They have on draft cocktails which is nice, I can't imagine how long of a wait it would be if only one person worked the bar and the floor - making drinks! Inside is very clean and it was open seating. We got the GF cheesy bread and GF Big Mac pizza. The cheesy bread was our favorite, lots of Parmesan, came out really hot with great flavor. The GF dough was really good, you wouldn't know it was GF unless someone told you! The Big Mac pizza was good but I think pickles should be inside, and just the sauce and sesame seeds sprinkled on top with more cheese. The pickles should also be higher quality (in my opinion) but they're the exact same pickles as McDonald's so they're staying on theme. It was good but wasn't my favorite. We did enjoy it and liked that they are stuffed pizzas so it's very filling.

It's not altogether different from the smell of beer as it's coming back up, and it called to mind my illustrious, mostly-forgotten-at-this-point college years. I was suddenly compelled to listen to Cannibal Ox and watch certain videos that I'd pilfered from Kazaa, and it's probably for the best that I didn't have access to a circa 1998 Compaq Presario in that moment. The vibe in Bluewood Brewing is a lot classier. There's no "Iron Galaxy" over the PA. The lights are dimmed, which I imagine would be convenient if there was someone there you owed money to. I was particularly impressed with a long table on the patio. I remarked to a member of my running group that it almost certainly didn't come from IKEA. The wood was of too high a quality. The food menu is limited to a small selection of standard sports-bar fare, but this is not anywhere you'd go to watch the game. They might not have any TVs. Did they spend too much on the table? Also, they don't sell any beer in cans, that I'm aware of, which I generally prefer as someone who, as the evening progresses, is prone to dropping things. I went with something called Crush, which is an orange-flavored high-gravity IPA. It was the highest ABV selection on their regular beer menu, but it also costs a little bit more, so you're not really getting over on them--unless you thought to "pregame." I found it to be both less "stiff" than I was expecting and less orange-tasting, in a good way but also in a bad way, in that anything that fails to conform to expectation is at least somewhat disappointing. I was expecting paint thinner and orange juice. I got something that was balanced and flavorful. From the food menu, I got the daily special, which was a sort of elevated patty melt called the Stable Melt. It came with two all-beef patties, Swiss, caramelized onions and "Frisco" sauce on Union Loafers marbled rye, with your choice of chips or fries. It was $18, and as I was standing there a guy came out and changed the price to $19, presumably due to developments in the war with Iran. I was assured that I'd be "grandfathered in" at $18, but I'm not sure if he told the guy at the register and I didn't bother to check. It wasn't necessarily my kind of thing, but it was a great burger. The name-brand bread alone nearly justified the price increase. The meat was generously proportioned (no Diddy), but it didn't quite extend to the edges of the bread. Perhaps if it were one larger patty? The onions gave it a sophisticated Salisbury steak vibe, wholly superior to Hungry Man. The fries called to mind the fries at Wendy's. If only they offered a Frosty to dip them in. It wouldn't necessarily go with their beer. I'd suggest they put bourbon or something in it, but I shudder to think what they might charge.
