Small place- we parked in the back. Seating is very limited but we lucked out on this Friday cuz we came in between lunch and dinner. Burger was huge and worth the price. We enjoyed the fries very much that came with it. It was homemade for sure. The covered fries with cheese and Asada were not exactly Asada Fries (we are originally from California) so that fell short. Came only with sour cream and jalapeños. No salsa, no pico, guac was extra - there was hot sauces but nothing special. They have a cart load of sauces.  One would say TOO MANY choices. Anything from different mustards and Chick Fil A sauces!  Much appreciated but nothing home made. I would recommend the place for burgers. When we moved here last week, I made sure to follow the FB group that was for SA restaurants. Look up carne asada fries - and u get this place mentioned a few times. We live on the other side of the city but happen to be in the vicinity since we had to go to Fort Sam so.... So of course we HAD TO GO! The asada fries were great but could use some luck on top. You could pay extra for Guacamole. I good salsa would also be great. They have a sauce cart that had different sauces from hot sauce to different ketchups- to diff mustards. But no regular chalula - just a chili lime one. So I went with some generic hot sauce to add some kick. We also split a burger to try and the fries were the star. The plain fries. From where we sat at the small establishment- you can see into the "kitchen". And I can see the potatoes being peeled - so it was obvious they were fresh cut fries and very well seasoned. Prices are kinda high but you do get a lot of food. One thing- there is a fee for paying with CC, however they did offer a military discount! Thank you for that. read more

Me and my love decided to try something new near our home and we were not disappointed. The faijita was outstanding soft and delicious, the enchiladas were extra cheesy and melted in your mouth. The beans and rice were just as delicious. Outstanding customer service and I enjoyed the tvs around the establishment. They have a large cool aid pitcher, yup that was for the kool aid! I've eaten at this restaurant for years and have never walked away feeling unsatisfied. The speciality burgers are always made fresh to order and on Tuesday's they serve delicious enchilada plates. The service over the phone is great and they'll always make sure you're placing an order at the location you mean to as they have two in the greater San Antonio area. Inside the restaurant is very much what you would like to see in a smaller burger restaurant. The parking situation can sometimes be a little wonky, and if you blink as you're driving you'll miss it. We will be back often. ------------------------------------------------ I've been meaning to try this new location for a while--it opened close to my house and seems to get a steady stream of business. My mother and I went for lunch yesterday, and we were pleasantly surprised. The interior was very clean, though quite small. There were several outdoor tables available for anyone wanting to enjoy the beautiful spring weather in San Antonio. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the staff, handed menus, and told to sit wherever we liked. There were approximately five tables in the main dining area, with another room offering four to six more. We chose a high-top two-seater by the window. A friendly server came over quickly to take our drink order. She was knowledgeable and very nice. She returned promptly with our drinks and took our food order efficiently. They were advertising fried and grilled chicken sandwiches on the door, so we went with those. My mother chose grilled; I went with fried. We both swapped in tater tots for the default side and decided to split an order of fried mushrooms. I expected the usual bagged, frozen mushrooms--but we were shocked (in the best way) when we received thick slices of fresh mushrooms, deep-fried in hand-battered deliciousness. They were very well seasoned and definitely made in-house. When our sandwiches arrived, we were equally impressed. My fried cutlet was huge, served on Texas toast with mayo, lettuce, and tomato (I declined the raw onion). It was hot, juicy, and fantastic. My mother's sandwich was a marinated thigh, cooked to perfection--tender, moist (sorry!), and absolutely delicious. The tater tots were smaller than your typical frozen variety--possibly house-made (I should have asked). They were perfectly crisp on the outside, tender and volcano-hot on the inside. My only suggestion: a touch more salt right out of the fryer, but that was easy enough to fix at the table. A few suggestions: #1 I love the idea of offering to-go cups for 50 cents. We try to avoid Styrofoam, and we really liked the little pitchers our tea came in. That said, $4 for iced tea--which costs pennies to brew--feels steep. The tea itself was good, but the ice gave it a noticeable chlorine flavor. I'd happily pay the $4 if you used filtered water for the ice. #2 The front steps are very narrow and feel a bit hazardous--you have to almost contort yourself around a table to get down them. I'd recommend blocking those off and installing a railing on the porch instead. It's easy to imagine someone slipping or even hitting their head on the roof overhang. Removing the steps would also make the "Watch Your Head" sign unnecessary, and the ramp provides safe and sufficient access for everyone. #3 Please consider adding more descriptive text for the ingredients on your specialty burgers. There's currently no explanation of what comes on each one, which means customers have to ask--and that can be frustrating for both diners and servers. A quick description under each burger would save everyone time and help customers make more confident choices Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Raymond's and will definitely be back soon to try the burgers. read more

I heard of this place through social media and that they just opened up this new location. The wife and i came for lunch. We ordered the western burger, breakfast burger, and fried mushrooms. Burgers are good and thick here. Onion rings are huge and homemade and the batter doesn't crumble or fall off. They have Kool Aid served in 2 flavors, grape and blueberry lemonade and they're served in small pitchers too. The service is friendly and they have TVs. They also have a parking lot behind the building so you don't have to park from the 35 access road. Everybody Loves Raymond's is inside a tiny building that used to house Alamo City Addiction and Big Poppa's Tacos. The last time I've dined at Everybody Loves Raymond's was when they had a location on S. Presa near City Base. I'd recommend this over Longhorn Cafe. read more

Everybody Does NOT Love Raymond when a middling lunch for 1 is over $27 Food was OK but a very poor value. Burger and onion rings were, at best, 3-star; good but nothing to stand out from the pack. The experience, however, is really bad. Ambience is about negative-3 stars and created an immediate bad impression as the building (old house) itself is just awful and it's way too small for what they are doing. The spartan bedroom-as-a-dining-room is just bad and the HVAC apparently has to be augmented with hurricane-force fans blasting in your face. Watch the low clearance entrance/exit if you're over 5 feet tall and beware the numerous trip and fall hazards that wouldn't pass a cursory permit inspection. Odd irony that in order to accommodate 1%, the ADA entry ramp endangers the remaining 99% (perhaps to balance that ratio?). The locked fire escape door was an added bonus. No idea how the city authorized this as a place of business. For some reason they have wait-service which contributes to the ultimate problem with this place: a burger, onion rings, and tea was over $27.00. I could have gotten a steak somewhere else for that. They also stick you with a 3% credit card fee and charge extra for to-go containers. Wait service was decent and the 9 people working there ( yes, 9) were friendly enough, but this place earned a permanent NO-GO label from me and my entourage. If it were $15.00 out the door, I could work with the rest, but at $27.00+, I'm out and I recommend against it. read more

So glad they opened a new storefront in San Antonio! we love the restaurant in Pleasanton! they brought with them the great menu! their service folks are always welcoming and helpful with getting your order right. the food is always great and their brisket burger is delicious (and huge). priced perfectly for their menu. they've got a cool beachy kinda vibe with plenty of tables outside and a few hightop tables inside. The servers are attentive without being overly hovering. we'll be back over and over! it is a little rough getting to be prepared to do the loop around if coming south on I35 to get back to them. there is no way to get to their location from New Braunfels Street. read more

We have seen pictures and post on local social media groups and we're super excited to finally give it a try since we were in town. It's a Wednesday evening, 5:30 pm, we walk in and are told right away that they only have burgers to sell no other menu items. . With 2 hungry kids and 2 foodie adults, big disappointment. Didn't get to try their food but I will also add that the place itself is pretty small, only a few tables inside so if you have small kids or a big family, this location is probably not ideal for you or be expecting to wait for one of the 2 or 3 mid size tables they have tucked on the side. We saw the other location had better reviews so if we ever give it another shot, it definitely won't be this location. Being short handed or maybe some mishap that was unpredictable was the reason for the menu being limited and that's understandable, but the attitude of the person who told us was not welcoming or inviting at all. read more

This place has become my favorite burger spot, beating out Mr. Juicy's. Inside seating is small and they get busy. The staff is extremely nice. Been there three times in the last two weeks.
