Eggnog latte on a clean, spacious table
    Peg P.

Everybody's Coffee is the kind of place where if everybody knew about it, no one would bother with those half-assed corporate coffee chains. They roast their own coffee, and they know what they're doing. Same with tea. They are not phoning it in. They are making each cup with care and attention, and each cup is spectacular. The space is also fantastic. There seems to be room, even on busy days. The art is interesting, and the whole space is just not over-designed. It manages to be somehow both warm and cool. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Maybe this is the gingerbread latte talking, but they seem to be happy. Genuinely happy. We split an Aragon breakfast sandwich with perfectly prepared bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado. It was like homemade if you had that kind of time and energy. And it came with a well-dressed side salad that was anything but an afterthought. I don't know how anyone has one of these by themselves. It's a lot of food. Their motto is "filter coffee, not people." I don't actually know what that means, but I am sure it has to do with their sense of mission. The business benefits Cornerstone Community Outreach, providing housing and food for thousands of people in the Uptown neighborhood. More than that, the place is clearly dedicated to holding together a community that is increasingly fragmented by economic inequality and social isolation. They have a cool board where you can pay for a coffee for someone else who can't afford it. And let's face it, if we can afford to amble into a coffee shop and buy ourselves a fancy coffee drink, we can afford to give one away too. No wonder the staff here are happy.

In my opinion, it's rare to find a coffee shop that has great coffee AND great hot food. Coffee shops tend to be on the smaller side and baristas can't be expected to do it all. Usually, I go in expecting a decent pastry and a nice coffee. Everybody's coffee exceeded my expectations and was quick as well. Before our home inspection this morning, my Fiance and I stopped in for a coffee and breakfast after finding that Everybody's Coffee would be near our new home. We walked in and were greeted with a warm welcome and instantly felt the artsy vibes with plenty of space. With so many options to choose from, we opted for a breakfast sandwich, a muffin, and a drink each. Everybody's Coffee not only made one of the best lavender lattes I've had in the city and because we dined it, it came in a nice large mug for easy sipping.. The lavender wasn't too floral with the honey adding a nice touch of sweetness. Brysen got the iced oat-chata which was to die for and will be my order come summer months! We went for the Southern Californian after the cashier recommended we go with a biscuit sandwich a the biscuits are made in-house. It did not disappoint, the biscuit was soft and buttery but moist enough that it didn't feel claggy in the mouth. The eggs were fresh and fluffy, bacon crisp and avocado green. It came with a nice arugula salad. Our cranberry almond cheesecake muffin was sweet and creamy with a nice texture difference between the cheesecake-y middle and firm muffin top. Overall, the service was friendly, the food was fresh and quick and the coffee was great!

Everybody's coffee cafe is a very aesthetically pleasing coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch everyday. I like the art pieces featured along the cafe and the friendly atmosphere. I also like how spacious it is with plenty of restrooms and free wifi for customers. I had their golden chai latte which was "ok". Quite small for the price point. I didn't like that the baristas had control of the tablet because I felt pressured to say yes to leaving a tip. (I do believe that baristas should get tipped but I feel like I should be able to make that call without being put on the spot). I also wish that they are open a little longer but this place is worth a visit! I will come back to try more of the items in their menu when my schedule allows!

Solid coffee drinks, great patio, and lots of tables inside, delicious food and friendly service. What else can you want from a coffee shop?

Solid coffee and a hefty, large portioned biscuit sandwich! I picked up an oat latte and biscuit sandwich on a Sunday morning. It was pretty busy but not crazy. There's a bunch of seating and board games inside. The flavor of the espresso shined through in my oat latte I took my biscuit sandwich to the beach. The biscuit was very tasty- dense and flaky. The eggs tasted like they may have been ore made or from a mix but they did the trick. Reasonable good pricing for an easy breakfast!

Banana Loaf, Lemon Loaf, Cold Brew, Breve Cappuccino

My boyfriend and I went there this morning our first time there. The coffee shop is cute and have a nice vibe to it. I had a breve cappuccino which it was good and banana bread. My boyfriend had the cold brew and lemon loaf. We will be back to try either the breakfast or lunch items.

Oatmeal cookie + nitro cold brew
    Jenna C.

Stopped by on a gorgeous Saturday morning around 10ish. Unfortunately, no doughnuts left - hot commodity I guess! So I settled for an oatmeal cookie and nitro cold brew. Both were good, but I've had better cold brews. I'll have to stop in again to try a different coffee and pastry because I really liked the space and vibe of this place. I also really appreciate that they have a nice outdoor area in front of the coffeeshop. Service was a little spacey but could have just been an off day. Still an overall solid spot, especially for studying.

This place is such a wonderful place to come read, study, draw, etc. It's quiet enough, with very chill music which is not too loud at all. The food is very good. I had the avocado toast (bread made in house!) and shared the veggie grits with my girlfriend. Both dishes were super good and I would order them again. The coffee was very good and not too strong which was nice. They have a variety of options from lattes, espressos, specialty drinks, etc. The art In the place is awesome and also for sale! There's quite a bit of street parking, $4 for 2 hrs. I will definitely be back here.

CHAI TEA LATTE && ARAGON BAGEL SANDWICH

Cute cozy cafe. Love this place for some quiet time. The drinks and food options are perfect for this vibe. Aragon bagel sandwich is my favorite!

I was a bit frazzled this morning, forgot the special cup of brew I made for myself at my place Everybody's Coffee survived the Pandemic and continues to be community focused along with providing me with some great tea this morning and a freshly baked blueberry muffin that I gladly shared with one of my coworkers once I arrived to work. Emma provided me with a warm welcome as I shared with her that I had not been there since before the Pandemic. I was glad to know that the same owners are still there. They also are genuinely kind people. The place is super clean. They always have fresh products and excellent service. They support artists and Uptown should be proud that they are a part of the community. Stop in and check it out for yourself

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.

I especially liked the longanisa breakfast sandwich and chicken adobo. I'm so glad that they were willing to make the breakfast sandwhiches beyond 12pm for some of us waiting in line. Fyi they normally stop making the breakfast sandwhiches at noon. Be prepared to wait in line for at least an hour, this spot is super popular. I also really enjoyed the chicken adobo. I also really liked the Manila fog drink - it wasn't too sweet or overpowering. For the ube huckleberry basque cake - I mostly tasted tartness from the huckleberry and not so much ube, but it was good regardless. The staff were all pretty nice. I was skeptical at first because it is a local chain, rather than a singular location. However, it lived up to the hype. Service: it was extremely busy when we came in. The line was almost out the door. They have a system in place for ordering and seating so it worked well and fast given how busy they were. We didn't have any questions on where to order or where to stand when waiting for a seat. The staff were friendly and helped us find a spot to sit at. Ambiance: classic cafe in a city. Loud chatter, but it's a vibe. Very colorful and fun interior with cool textural elements. We had a seat that was facing the street so it was fun to people watch as we sipped and ate. Food: amazing breakfast selection! We ordered the morning sandwich and barbacoa bowl. The morning sandwich had THICK scrambled eggs which were super soft and tasty. I could've used more salsa verde on it. The bread was barely toasted. I'd rate the sandwich a 3.8/5. It got the job done. The barbacoa bowl was "really good" according to my fiancé. A great source of protein, fresh ingredients, nice flavor, and great portions. He would rate it a 5/5. Coffee: I am a coffee snob so I am quite harsh when it comes to reviewing it. Their machine is a cute La Marzocco. Appropriate sized "for-here" glasses according to the drinks. Plus, they were really cute. Wide variety of drink selection from your standards to the more girly-drinks (if there is such a thing). We ordered a cappuccino and small hot mocha. Latte art 4.5/5, temperature 5/5, flavor 4/5. The espresso didn't stand out to me, very standard flavor profile. However, the chocolate in the mocha was delicious. It's more of a rich, dark chocolate. Nice thin layer of foam. Would recommend to try at least once when you're in Chicago! Glad to have stopped in.

We visited around noon on a Sunday, and after reading the reviews here, I wasn't optimistic there would be many pastries left. We decided to split several and opted for the blueberry cloud cookie, chai cinnamon roll, banana pudding croissant, espresso cornflake cookie, and potato focaccia. The shop was more of a small take-out operation, so we took the pastries to a nearby park to eat. Everything was absolutely divine! The group favorite was the focaccia- the creamy potatoes and cheese brought a rich flavor that was perfectly balanced by the fluffy bread. The chai roll was perfectly soft and delicately spiced, completed with that soft cream cheese frosting and gooey center we all like to see. My personal favorite was the banana pudding croissant- the dough was so crispy that I'm pretty sure others could hear the bite, and there was a generous amount of filling with fresh bananas and visible vanilla beans in the whipped cream. The espresso cookie was super soft- while I couldn't taste the espresso very clearly, I absolutely *loved* the caramel-coated cornflakes topped with sea salt.
