I had a wonderful experience at this kayak rental shop. We came during the Fourth of July at 3pm and they were still open for business. The people working here are extremely nice and hospitable. I like coming here because it's $20 for 2 hours for a stand up paddle board. You can get a month-long pass for $60. The harbor is small and usually not crowded. If you don't know what you're doing, someone will explain how to do it before they send you out into the water. read more

Went again last weekend for the early bird special. Its $10 before 10am for an hour of SUP or Kayaking. Love this place! The guys at the water have always been friendly and helpful. I like this place a lot! They have great prices as you paddle around the harbor you can go off in different directions which makes it seem more of an adventure. Just had my first paddleboard experience here yesterday with Ben as our instructor. He was super awesome and chatted it up with everyone throughout the lesson. It didn't even seem like it was 1.5 hours. Honestly I was terrified I would fall in the water since I'm more than a bit challenged but the only time I got wet is from me splashing some water into my feet from my awkward paddling and when we had to lay down on our boards to get under a bridge. That may have been the best part of the lesson by the way. Laying down to get under the bridge and then proving to myself I could stand back up on my board from a laying position on the water. I will most definitely be coming back here! read more

I came here for a paddleboarding lesson and was lucky enough to have Andre as my instructor. My sister and I went out on the water like nervous kids entering the deep end of the pool for the first time, but after over an hour of patient and thorough instruction (watch and mimic learning), we were no longer crying for lifejackets or safety onshore. He showed us beginner and even intermediate techniques, so by the time the lesson was over, I wanted to go back and try again! He's super nice and a great teacher. My family and I went on a Wednesday so there wasn't much of a crowd to deal with but I could see how parking could really be an issue on a weekend. The staff was very courteous and helpful, but the manager not so much. Overall it was a great day and a great experience. BTW, we rented the Hobie pedal-powered kayaks. Decided to check out kayaking while we had friends in town... The service was friendly and kayaks reasonably priced so we took four out. An hour later we came back for a quick break and asked if we could try the paddle boards (just in the little inlet). They said no problem, so the four of us checked them out.
