I love this place. It's a spot to drink beers and to eat a sandwich and keep it moving. The reviews don't do it justice. I meet my dad here before business meetings to chill with regular folk, I rather hang out here with the people anyday.yeah the bathrooms are weird, and yeah upstairs with their waterfall is weird, but they're literally bothering no one. Salute to the whole staff and the spot holds a special place in my heart. You can serve yourself cocktails. Practice being a bartender

Great place for eats. Some much to choose from on all the menus. Salad bar, sandwich station , pizza bar and so much more. I feel you get your monies worth on all items here at this deli. Give them a try if you in the area. Great selections all around.

Wide spread of food! Convenient as they have a little of everything. The prices are on par as it is getting close to Upper East Side. I got a small seafood gumbo for around $3.99. The upstairs seating area is so interesting. Reminds me of a cross between an abandoned strip mall, the Titantic about to sink, and also a bar with waterfall. Very interesting decor and lots of seating. The service was as usual. Efficient, brisk, yet uninterested. I would come back if in the area and really needed food.

Food is delicious, anything from the asian section is. The guys at the deli meats are also very nice and super quick. Before covid they have a nice selection from the hot buffet table but now its very limited due to food safety of course. The coffee here is self serve and you have to make it yourself. The girls at the register however arent so friendly and whenever you call to order for delivery its a hit or miss. You get someone who knows what theyre talking about or you get someone who has no idea what their own menu is and I once had a lady who didnt know what a scallion was.. completely dumbfounded to be honest lol..my friend you need a new job if you work at a food spot and not know what a scallion is. Another thing that Ive always wondered was.. i thought food wasnt taxable but even if there is a rule there was idk how a $12.99 meal gets boosted up to $14 something, like really?! That much tax for food? 3 stars only for the mysterious calculation of $ to the food and the service from cashiers and whomever picks up the phone.

This place is great and their breakfast selection is even better but from what I got today, I was quite disappointed. I ordered an bagel with butter and iced coffee. My coffee tasted sour so that was a disappointment and my bagel was burnt. There was also a piece of lettuce in my bagel. Since when did piece of lettuce come on "bagel with butter"?

Yet another RUDE horrid 24 hr. late night Deli in Midtown NYC! Again, as I walked my way back from Sarge's 24hr. Jewish Deli (which was very pleasant), I checked out a number of other 24hr. places at 3-4 AM along my long walk back to the Hyatt 48 Lex. This place had basically nothing on the many hot serving areas & had a ludicrous plethora of pseudo-ethnic food, which was not even there. Sure you could grab a ready made yogurt (at sky high prices), but I wanted something more, or at least unique to NY (except the attitude). Speaking of attitude, all the while I was looking around the store for a snack to stock my hotel frig, the workers were cursing at each other. The manager then cursed out a paying customer, who just took a break from his Taxi job. The Taxi guy seemed to know this jerk, and they argued & cursed about Thanksgiving and why the Deli did not have Turkey. Yes, it was late Thanksgiving night & early Black Friday. Anyway, needless to say, I did not bother to buy even a yogurt there, since not only were they as nasty as the other 24hr. Deli (42), but again did not even ask me if I needed help. I do remember far better 24 hr choices in NYC when I was much younger. They may have not have been overly friendly, but they had great food & decent service back in the day (1980's). Many of the 24 hr. Deli places back then were run by Koreans, who were just bland, but this newer selection of immigrants are generally far worse than just bland. Anyway, stay in your hotel or apt...unless you are desperate.

stopped in to grab breakfast. They had a self serve bar. I got cottage cheese, fruit and nuts. Fruit was really fresh and good. They had a good assortment.. melon, papaya, mango, berries.. all really good. This was a nice, fresh side stop =)

My mother brought her lunch from there on Wednesday at 4:45pm. She works around the area. She ordered a hamburger with onions, lots of lettuce, ketchup, Mayo & pepper. Around 4:30am she begin to feel very SICK. She was weak, dizzy, sweaty, had upset stomach and could barley walk. I took her to the E.R IMMEDIATELY. She was admitted and stayed in the hospital for three days with SEVERE food poisoning. She threw up 7 times! couldn't go to the bathroom on her own, and couldn't walk on her own. My whole family called out of work for three days to care for her. (Money LOST) It's probably gonna take her a week( She's still sick) to eat, walk, and function on her own ALL BECAUSE OF THIS PLACE!!!!!!! I've never seen my mom so sick! Please BEWARE before deciding to eat here! She is older in age so it hit her hard!

Good Old' Bridge. The place is just like any other midtown eatery. Lots of different foods cramped into one place.(thats a good thing) They have a huge salad and hot buffet table with fresh food coming out all the time. Pizza, sushi, Japanese, deli and hot sandwiches. The good thing is that you have so many different choices to pick from. The deli has pretty good sandwiches for around $7-8, the buffet is around $8-9 per pound, sushi is cheap but way better than East sushi. they have seating upstairs but the place is mostly to go. Regular lunch foes from $8-12 PS: they no longer have specials like before.... :(

Only deli in the neighborhood that charges you 25 cents for a bag. Doesn't matter what or how much you buy. Just ridiculous.

This is a cozy place for italian sandwiches. Expect a crowd during lunch time and seats fill out…read morequickly. They have an extensive menu so be ready for some tough choices. We got the limonata and mandarino to drink and the la toscana and la paradiso for our sandwiches. They are massive so prepare for leftovers. La Toscana- The foccacia is soft and fluffy. You get savory salame toacano, pecorino, and truffle honey that ties the flavors together. La Laradiso- The mortadella is tasty and given in generous amounts. The stracciatella, pistachio cream, and pistachio bits add a depth of flavor and texture. Limonata and Mandarino- This was sweet, fruity, and refreshing. Hits the spot after walking around all morning. Love the vintagr can designs! Great experience overall!

Someone order a Hot Italian? Here I am…read more The legendary Florentine sandwich shop achieved global fame by earning some of the highest praise in food journalism for its massive, fresh-baked schiacciata sandwiches. Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). It was good, but I will likely fuggedaboutit. The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.

We ducked here to grab some nourishment before I became to hangry. Ordering takes place at the counter then grab a table. I had a 1/2 bowl of their "famous chicken soup" and 1/2 pastrami sandwich. Had good flavor and was enough to warm me up on this brisk morning. My niece did a bagel, and after trying all week she finally got one exactly how she wanted it made. We ate and chilled for a bit, no plans for the day other than making it to the airport to go home. Was able to people watch and catch up without feeling rushed to leave. Saw locals come through, so you know it is a place worth stopping. The staff were nice and even apologized for not being able to give me the soup I wanted in a half order. Though things can often get overlooked and passed by in the hustle and bustle of the city...stop in and relax while you grab a bite to eat.

Date of visit: April 14, 2026…read more Our friend wanted to go to a real New York deli during her first trip to the city and this is the one in the vicinity of Times Square and our evening show that was the highest rated according to my fellow Yelpers, but I am not quite sure why based on our experience. Things did start out great, with Boudjema being very friendly and helpful as we placed our order. And once we got seated, we were able to fully appreciate the vibe, both in the primarily 70s playlist, but also the mirror and brass touches across the restaurant. Food-wise, however, there were some definite opportunities. My Roasted Turkey sandwich did come on quite possibly the best rye bread I have ever had, warm and flavorful. But while the gravy was also good, the turkey was cold. This odd temperature mismatch made it hard to appreciate the generous portion of meat on the sandwich. We also ordered some tater tots and those were quite good. While it definitely could have been worse--and I've had worse in New York City--this also could have been so much better.
