Rather than offering to remake or replace it, I was told I would need to pay the difference to order a different coffee--even though I had already paid a premium for the 100% Kona option. I understand that not every drink will turn out perfectly. What bothered me much more was how the situation was handled. A specialty coffee shop charging a premium for its coffee should be willing to stand behind the drink it serves and make a reasonable effort to correct something a customer is unhappy with. The combination of the poorly made drink and dismissive service made this a particularly disappointing visit.

I had such a great experience at Everyday Cafe! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made me feel comfortable the entire time. You can tell they really care about their customers. The coffee was absolutely amazing -- perfectly made, rich, and flavorful. It's easily some of the best I've had in a long time. Walking into this place was like a breath of fresh air. Everything was nice, new and clean. Even the bathrooms. Staff was very friendly and informative. I got a Strawberry glow smoothie which is very similar to the erwhon hailey beiber smoothie. It was quiet good and the perfect combination before our sauna ice session upstairs. Tucked in off a main street in Waikiki, inside the Lilia, so it feels a little removed from the…read morecraziness outside. There wasn't a long line when we went, which made this a nice quick stop. The cafe itself is cute and modern, and the pastry case had some really beautifully presented snacks. The calamansi Aerocano was not recommended to me, but I decided to try it anyway and I'm SO glad I did. It was one of the more unusual coffee drinks I've tried recently and was really, really, surprisingly delicious! Definitely one of those drinks that sounds questionable until you actually try it. The coconut chia pudding looked beautiful, but unfortunately it had an odd fishy flavor to me. The fruit on top was good, though, so that was a bit of a mixed experience.
