When in the store to buy four trades and employee refused me to give me a bag, she had a stacks of paper bags and wouldn't give me one because she was going to use them for the next day. My only regret is that I can't give 6/5 stars. I try every meal kit and prepared meal service I come across. Blue Apron, Home Chef, Hello Fresh, Freshly, Factor, to name but a fraction. We've been doing everytable twice a week for a little over a month now. I have successfully referred friends and got them to subscribe. This is the best one. I'll break it down. Flavor: 5/5. All of the meals taste great. In a delivered meal service you never know how much effort is going to be put in or if they'll get an underipe batch of something, etc etc. Ingredients are fresh, crisp, fragrant, savory, all the things food would be ideally. I've never had a meal that wasn't good--maybe something not quite to my personal taste but nothing that was executed poorly. I've tried about 20 meals. Variety: 4/5. Literally the only weak spot. They have about 30 meals to choose between, and while they are all great, if you are ordering 20 meals a week (which between my husband and me, we are), you can get a tad tired of them pretty quickly. That being said, it's not that bad and for most people that would be getting 8 meals/week, you're probably fine. Nutrition: 5/5. This is the big one for me. I am trying to lower cholesterol and triglycerides, and this is where Freshly and Factor run afoul of my goals. Both of them (especially Factor) are very heavy in saturated fat, with some of their meals having over 10g. Everytable is low in cholesterol, saturated fat, and salt, and use enough vinegar, garlic, and fresh fruit etc, to not sacrifice flavor. Convenience: 5/5. The website is easy to use, has loads of nutrition info, and YOU DON'T HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE!!! You can just load up as many meals as you want whenever you want, and buy a la carte. Cost: 5/5. Visited Everytable with a friend. Chicken with pasta pleased, delicious and rich. However, unfortunately, the salad was so unsuccessful that the friend could not even finish it. I will note the pros: the kambucha and sparkling water left a pleasant impression. The atmosphere in the establishment is cozy, the staff is attentive - special thanks for heating my hamburger with egg. In general, because of the problem with the salad, I put 3 stars. Only $5 for a meal? I'm in. A restaurant that uses local ingredients and provides healthier options for underserved communities? I'm in love. I came here to grab a quick bite to eat, but I left knowing I'd be a frequent customer. Walk in, grab something from the fridge, pay at the cashier, microwave your food, and sit down to eat. I was eating my food within 5 minutes of me walking through the door, and a good majority of that time was spent just deciding what I wanted to eat. I went with the Puebla Chicken Tinga and it was actually quite good with some nice variety of flavors. The packaging is also made with sustainable material, which I am a fan of. This is NOT a restaurant. Yes, you can sit and eat here (enjoy the air conditioning!) but there is no table service or table settings or anything. Everytable makes their excellent meals in central locations, packages them in recyclable packaging, and stocks their storefronts with LOTS of excellent lunch & dinner food. If you're looking for inexpensive, healthy, sustainable, socially responsible take-out, this is for you. About Everytable in general: They do offer some breakfast options, and they are fine, but not as inspired as their dinners. They do offer home delivery if you become a member, but "memberships" are not available if you live in certain places (too far away from where the food is prepared, which as you remember is NOT at the retail locations) They now have 40 locations in the Los Angeles area! Yaay! Their motto is "Just. Good. Food." They are true to their motto! About this particular Everytable location: The staff are consistently knowledgeable, helpful, and all-around cool people. No, the staff cannot make substitutions for ingredients in a meal. (You'll have to pick out the undesirable bits all by yourself, sorry) But they will suggest other meals and will steer you well. Parking is very limited. There is a little corner parking lot (like 5 spaces) on the corner of 24th and Hoover, just one business over, but it's usually full. You can find street parking in the 24th-and-Union neighborhood, just be prepared to walk a little. (But not as far as you would walk if you were going to a food court in a mall!) There is a small triangular park on the south side of 24th Street, right across from Everytable. The trees aren't mature yet but it has shade-sails rigged, which is great when you need to get out of the sun, but it usually isn't very clean. Look before you sit. No homeless encampment in that parklet for the past few months, but that might change in the winter, so ymmv. My wife and I have loved every meal we've purchased from them, which is now up to eight varieties of hot meals, two different salads, and the chia-cocoa bites. All awesome. The Trap Kitchen Chicken Curry and the Backyard Barbecue Chicken are my favorites so far, but the Shwarma is right up there too, and so is the Scallion Beef. I've been ordering meals from Everytable for a couple months now and couldn't be happier! The meal options are diverse, delicious, fresh, and in perfectly sized portions. The specific heating instructions by meal are also very helpful. The online ordering process is also smooth - it's simple to update my weekly order and delivery date and the email reminders to do so are much appreciated. There are also great tracking and delivery status updates on the day of delivery. I got a free meal from Everytable, and I don't think I would eat this again. The meatballs I ordered were so foul, I literally spat it out in the garbage. I'm giving this two stars because I liked the beet juice a lot, but I think you could get fresher juices elsewhere. I also tried tacos, salad, and fingerling potatoes. It's close to a middle school so if you go in around 3pm, you'll see lots of children in uniform. Food: I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken! yo, it's lip-quivering spicy and delicious! the chicken is moist. All the hotfoods come cold and need warming up! they provide 3 microwaves! I took my meal and warmed it up at work. Warmed for 2 minutes to perfection! Jerk chicken comes with coconut grains &red beans, collard greens, sweet plantians, and jerk BBQ sauce! Contains Soy and Tree Nuts. calories 850, carbs 81g, protein 38g! I'm glad they have compostable bowls, with a plastic lid.. came in a paper bag. Would actually love it if they had an option for take-out customers to request single use utensils instead of giving it right off the bat. Also giving reusable utensils to those that sit in and eat! This is a review specifically for the delivery service. I'm sure the food would be great but unfortunately we will not be getting to try any of it. This was our first delivery with Everytable. We were expecting something similar to Freshly or Factor with well insulated packaging, multiple ice packs, and text message updates for delivery. I do want to commend the customer service for refunding us immediately. That is why they are gettin 3 stars instead of 1. Simply put, they do not know how to handle deliveries yet. If they can iron out delivery for food safety and communication they will probably be great. See below for details. The insulation is only a very thin foil. All of our potentially hazardous foods were put on the very top with the foil partially covering them. The single ice pack was in the very bottom with thick paper covering it. The only things being kept somewhat cold were the vegetarian items in the bottom (still well above 40 degrees). When we got back from breakfast we found the packages in the sun. Being somewhat concerned with the temperature, I grabbed my thermometer and checked the chicken and salmon, they were at 75 and 80 degrees. Unfortunately, they only communicate via email. All email communications were sent between 12am-6am, which is when most people are sleeping (including us). We never received any text or phone calls to notify us about delivery. When we reached out to Everytable, they did offer to refund us, stating that drivers are instructed not to call or knock if delivering before 7am. Supposedly, a text message should have been received but was never sent. Unfortunately, at our duplex, the area where packages are delivered are not the same as where we enter and exit the building so we weren't even aware anything had been dropped off until we happened to check after coming back from breakfast but by that point it was too late. read more

Unfortunately this place is the definition of "meh". We were gifted some meals while a family member was in the hospital and that was a lovely gift, but if we weren't too tired and distressed to cook, we'd probably not eat these meals. It was the worst Greek salad we ever had - we had to add our own lettuce and seasoning because the dressing was so bland. And why do they add chickpeas to this and the goat cheese pesto pasta? The "kimchi" Salmon was super dry and severely lacking in kimchi. Had to add a lot of soy sauce to make it palatable. The bbq chicken was spicy. The kale was well over cooked. The Mac and cheese tasted good but why was it covered in a pound of scallions? Overall it was much better than the cedars Sinai cafeteria food, which was a win for us!!! Everytable, meaning the idea is to provide healthy options for every table. I came into the small little shop and wasn't quite sure what to expect. I saw some pictures online, but had no idea that they only served packaged food that is delivered daily. Their concept was to provide healthy options for their local community that is quick, easy and affordable. I immediately fell in love with their mission statement. The labels are color coded, so that you can find food a bit quicker, red orange for hot food, teal blue for cold food, and yellow for kids meals. They also have some vegetarian options and gluten free options as well. Their menu would change seasonally so that way, you can always expect something new when you drop in! I tried the Jamaican jerk and the blackened fish. Both were very flavorful! It was full of spices and the sides were unique and blended together well. The portions are just right, so do not expect to leave with that stomach bursting out of your pants type of feeling. We need more places like this in the community, I love that there's a place that offers such a service to the people around their neighborhood! read more

Genuinely floored at the quality you get for the price. I've been hopping around the LA meal prep scene for a while now and have finally found a home at EveryTable. The shipment comes well-packaged in a tidy compostable/recyclable box with ice packs (that can be reused or drained & recycled) and recyclable foil lining! I love their focus on sustainability and the wide 3-hour window I have to put the meals away (in case i'm not home). That's rarely a problem however because they give you a window of delivery and tracking link the day of. The food is diverse, vibrant, and fresh. They have a mixture of vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian options alongside meat-based dishes. Every week new meals are added to the menu and the website makes it so easy to peruse the latest options (w/ the full nutritional info) and update accordingly. I haven't even mentioned the fact that these locations are an attempt to solve the problem of food deserts - access to healthy, fresh food in low-income areas. You can donate a meal or two with every weekly order - and you should since this service is so dang affordable! This is by far the most user friendly, cost-efficient, fresh, delicious, healthy meal prep service I have come by in Los Angeles. Wohoo!! I had already read what "Everytable" was about before dining here... it was everything I expected and then some. The food was fresh (it is delivered daily), it was easy to warm up, and the experience was awesome! Posole was tasty, the jerk chicken had a perfect little spicy kick to it, and the kale salad was filling and delicious! Not to mention that my baby had the "spaghetti" and meatballs (perfect use of squash for spaghetti), she ate it all up! The best part(drumroll...) we only spent $16!! Salad options, actual meal options, and kid options! This is exactly what we have been missing in this area and many areas across this city, state, and country. They offer a very nice selection of salads, hot foods/dinners, a couple of breakfast options, and kids options, which are perfect for a small child to take to school for lunch...be gone yucky, unhealthy hot lunch program. As for me, I went in mainly looking for something healthy and affordable to take to work for lunch. I was able to get a weeks worth of healthy salads for around $18-$20, which is amazing considering I bought a salad from a popular health food grocery store for a hefty $12. I really appreciate how affordable the prices are here, serious GRATITUDE. I also bought a breakfast muffin with carrot slaw and apple sauce for my mom since she loves to take muffins to work for breakfast it was only around $2.95 compared to the $5 she pays elsewhere for one muffin. Once she sees my amazing salads, she'll probably come with me next time. Everything is portioned appropriately, I'm sure coming here regularly would greatly improve a lot of peoples health. Did I mention they have a nice Kale Cesar Salad...? They have a nice selection of vegan, and gluten free items. The shop is simple, bright, clean, and very nice. I was blown away by this place and how good the food was here. Everytable has a great concept that everyone should have access to healthy food and they change their pricing to fit the are. For example everything at this location was $6 or less whereas in higher income areas it'd be $9. This is a clean nice place and they have microwaves with instructions and specific times that are color coded based on what you order to heat up your food like fresh! The selection here is plenty and my smoked salmon bibibap bowl was absolutely phenomenal for something that was refrigerated. It had amazing smoky flavor in the salmon and I'm convinced to try more of the bowls! Staff was also very nice and educated us on what every table did without being preachy which was appreciated. My husband and I have been long-time customers of Everytable. Most weeks, I would purchase 4 Everytable meals for my lunch. My favorite has always been the jerk chicken meal. We have also enjoyed many salads. Recent favorites are the Power Breakfast Bowl and the Sesame Noodle Salad. Since the recent COVID-19 pandemic in L.A. County, we were informed about a free senior meals program via the City of Los Angeles that delivers 4 meals to each of us for the last 2 weeks. We called the City of LA number and registered. (Google) What is so fantastic is that the meals are Everytable meals! At a time when income has decreased and costs have risen, my husband and I just wanted to say thank you to Mayor Eric Garcetti, his staff that coordinated this effort, Everytable and its staff, the delivery drivers, etc. Certainly many seniors have been blessed by this program. I have gone in to my local storefront so I cannot give my opinion on the delivery service. The customer service in the store was excellent. The young lady helping me went over all of the meals I asked about, and answered all of my questions. I bought five or six items to start trying out different meals and all of them tasted great. My only issue is that once I went onto the website to look at the ingredients, I found a lot of the items were cooked with Soybean oil or Sunflower oil which are GMO's. If they were made with Olive oil or expeller pressed oils, they would be perfect but they are not. I understand Soybean and Sunflower is more cost effective for this company, but I feel like this takes away from the company's objective of providing healthy meals. I was excited to start a subscription however this is making me thing twice about doing so. read more
