I had seen advertisements for everytable. It was small, quiet and full of healthy pre-packaged foods and some really healthy probiotic drinks. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Everytable: I would like to support this company because their mission seems cool, but the QC is so unbelievably bad it's like there's an evil supervillain who's actively trying to sabotage their products. Bought 2 items yesterday from the Everytable in CSULA; the vegan yakisoba had a hair in it (discovered by my 3rd bite; threw the rest in the trash), and the veggie and hummus burrito was a salmon and cheese one instead (mislabeled? Threw it away). They're lucky it was fish in that burrito and not meat, or they would have a lawsuit on their hands by now. read more

TL;DR: I'd heard a lot about Everytable and just knew that I had to try it out. It was a good experience and the staff there were very kind. The food was good, healthy, and for a very reasonable price in comparison to a lot of the foods in the USC area. I also thought that it was nice how they had a pay it forward system where you can pay ahead for someone else's meal, to help out those that are less fortunate. Parking: There is limited parking spots just because of the area that it is in. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there was street parking that I was able to find without too much trouble. Liked: How affordable the meals are, in case you didn't know that that's their mission: they strive to put food in front of every person based off of the surrounding neighborhood that it's in. Best Part: The food at the price that they offer it. It's convenient because the price per bowl is ~4, they had a new dish that was salmon based that was offered for $1 more (will prob return to try that another time). Worst part: I would just have to say that it was the amount of selections that they had. I thought that each shelf contained different foods. Loooveee the place! Their salads, soups and hot plates are all extremely well made and a very quick and easy, healthy lunch fix when in and around the USC area. The chicken jambalaya and salmon adobo are two of my favorite hot plates and the bbq chicken is an delightful low calorie salad. I use a prepared meal service for most of my lunch and dinners during the week. I've tried a few which suit different nutritional needs...but they can be kind of expensive. Everytable is an impossibly cheap alternative. And unlike a subscription service, you can pick up pre-made​ meals at the store when you need them instead of being at the mercy of regular deliveries. As a bonus, you can also dine in at the shop. (They've got plenty of seating plus lots of drinks and treats you can order with your meal) All the dishes I've tried are fresh and delicious​ but can have a bit less protein​ than more expensive alternatives. I might consider switching to Everytable since it costs well under half what I'm paying for my current service. read more

Oh wow! I just experienced Everh Table on Super bowl Sunday. I've passed this spot a few times, but never stopped (not hungry I guess). I purposely went for my newly vegan-ed daughter so she would have something delicious for dinner. I walked out with 2 grain bowls and a wrap. Daughter enjoyed the vegan friendly bowl with sweet potatoes. I had the Mediterranean grain bowl for lunch and am still swooning!! Daughter took the wrap for lunch and said it was yummy in the tummy. The late Sunday crew was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and airy and very organized. Parking wasn't a problem (weekend I guess). I'm looking forward to another visit. Is there a half-$ notation on Yelp? Because that's what this place needs. I'm not really sure whether or not this place actually turns a profit. Who's balancing the books here? It's $5 for a meal here. The backstory is that this restaurant's mission is to provide healthier options for underserved communities, and as a result, every location has different prices that reflect the earning power of the neighborhood. To add more astonishment at the low prices, every 10th meal (I think? It might even be less than that) is free. So it's like $4 a meal. That's cheaper than my groceries, and I have to cook when I buy groceries. This place is also significantly cheaper than the DTLA location, and it's tremendously easy to get to from USC or South Park. The food itself is good, but not fantastic. The bowls can get a little soggy. This review is 5 stars because it's a great cause and the food is so gosh darn inexpensive! I love it whenever I bookmark a place and check if off my list. Before coming here, I knew very little about this place. I just know that they provide healthy food within the community. The ambiance feels like a cafeteria with a bunch of prepped meals in an open fridge setting. You got a square pay register and two microwaves and some tables and chairs. The food is incredible cheap. I mean, I was in shocked when I paid $3.50 for my Vietnamese Salad. I ended up buying a week worth of prepped meals for $17. Most of the items on the menu are "gluten-free" and under 600 calories. So far I've had the Vietnamese Salad and the chili. Both are supper delicious but be warned, the dressing in the Vietnamese Salad is spicy and tangly! The chili was mediocre, only because, I like my chili to have meat in it. Other than that, it's a pretty flavorful chili with a bunch of veggies. I can't wait to try the other packaged meals! There is literally nothing wrong with this place and everything is oh so right! Here's why! 1) these are healthy meals that are between 400-800 calories as far as I've seen. 2) good portions! Especially for someone like me who usually eats a lot and finishes whatever's on the plate so this is really helping my portion control 3) the prices are so good!!!!!! Everything is basically under 8$ for each plate 4) it's really delicious!!!!! I've only had two hot plates so far but both were exceptional! I got the spaghetti and honestly I do not like squash or zucchini noodles but it was not that bad thanks to the sauce and meatballs. The carnitas bowl is amazing! All the flavors pop and go together so well (better than chipotle!) I love that there's a location almost everywhere you go in LA so you won't have to worry. I also love that you can order for pick up or delivery or just walk in and dine in. I also tried a sample of one of their salads and it was so good! You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the food is fresh. I'm trying to lose about 40lbs and I think this is my solution. Not only is it just as cheap (or damn near) as cooking at home but it's packaged nicely so I don't have to worry about over eating. This location is only .6 miles from me and my job so I'm looking forward to having their meals almost everyday to help me lose this weight. Even if you're not trying to be healthy and just want a good meal at a really good price I would suggest trying this place! Usually I spend about $400-500 on food every two weeks because I always eat out or order food (not much of a cook) so this will help me save money and eat healthier. I'm very excited about this place and I wish more people knew about it because I just happened to stumble upon it when google searching about meal prep. Other meal prep and dinner services only offer online orders for delivery or pick up but it's nice that they have store fronts so you can actually dine in and pay for meals one at a time if need be. This place kept coming up on yelp since I live nearby and decided to give the place a shot. I was very surprised with their prices, the priciest thing was about 5 dollars I think? So if you're on a budget, but you dont want to eat fast food, this is the place! All the food is pre made so if you're in a hurry you can just grab a box and take it to go. There is a cold section, or a hot section. I love how they have a microwave with instructions on how to heat up every dish they have. You would expect that microwaveable food can't be that good but trust me, it was really good and actually felt pretty fresh. I do have to say, everything here tastes really healthy, it's lightly seasoned and for me that was exactly what I was looking for. The problem I have with most "healthy" places (freshii, sweetgreens and some vegan restaurants) is that the food tastes so "blah"... just plain boring. I hope Everytable keeps expanding with new options. HINT: It would be nice if they had shrimp dishes, for example. They currently offer veggie, fish and meat options depending on your taste and diet. To be honest, the 5 star review is for what this place does for the community. I love that they price their foods for greater healthy food access. I recently came here and got 6 items and a total of $25! I thought that they made a mistake, but it was just the low prices. I would recommend the Kale Caesar, Chicken Tinga, and the Pozole if you're here for the first time. Each item is about $3.95-$4.50 and is quite filling! Yelped healthy food and this place popped up. I waited a week later to post to give an honest opinion based on several variety of meal preps I bought. Small place in the corner with a couple of tables and microwaves to use to heat your food. They have a section for microwaveable food and a cold food section. They have plenty of vegan options. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I tried the Greek Goddess salad, the tamales de chile rojo and the ensalada fresca with chicken ALL under 400 calories and all under 5 bucks & very delicious. The proportions are perfect and very filling. This place is awesome. They actually have several locations. This one is located near USC. There is no parking lot. Parking on the street only. Yes!! Have you read about Everytable and their mission? Please do. The concept is amazing, and I'm excited for the enterprise to expand. They seek to provide fresh and healthy food in different areas, and pricing is dependent on the community and what the general community members can afford. For instance, this Everytable serves a full meal for less than $5, whereas the Downtown establishment (opening soon) is going to be just under $10 for the same meal. The whole restaurant concept is so efficient. They offer salad bowls or from the grill bowls, as well as soups. Everything is made fresh each morning. If they run out of a certain bowl from that day's menu, then that's that. When I first went in, I spoke with the staff members, as they cheerfully offered to share information about their mission and the enterprise and explained how "ordering" worked. They're more than happy to share info with you, so I encourage asking if you want to find out more! All of these bowls are refrigerated, and (unless you're taking it to go) the workers will show you to use the microwave to heat up the bowl that you've ordered. And then you're all set! Even the dining area is adorable, and the whole place gives off a very cool and comfortable vibe. I love it! They serve only healthy drinks -- water and sparkling water, woohoo! I got wind of this through a Yelper last week which got me by surprise because I work in the area and know this intersection very well. Since I'm typically glued to my cubicle all day, I have a bad habit of working through my lunch and if I ever get out, I'm on tight schedule to beat traffic and get back on time. Naturally, I had this in the back of my mind and finally pinched myself to get something to eat and I'm quite happy I got around. First off, if you're not from this area, parking is very limited and they don't offer any parking at all. From what I saw, it was mostly USC students on beach cruisers and neighborhood mothers with strollers and few business people in shirt and tie. I can tell you that I had to go around twice before settling for a "yellow curb" LOL, it's that bad. As you walk in from 23rd street opposite of the famous triangle green belt, you basically see a small area to eat with large window panes and a back wall that accommodates both hot and cold meals. Keep in mind everything is outsourced and delivered daily and served fresh. A wide selection of nutritious salads and that can attract most seeking a well balanced meal less fatty dressings. A nice selection from various countries like Vietnam, Southern region of Mexico, Jamaica, American and Cajun. Servings are in a large bowl with a clear top and sealed. Hot items are to the left and they have (2) microwaves to warm meals. The floor space is on the smaller side and you don't bump into anyone because there is very little furniture with a small section against a wall that has plastic utensils and napkins.. Extra high open ceilings and bright colors give you that relaxed feeling knowing that you parked legally unlike me as I was in hurry to avoid a parking ticket. I think it's a great asset to this neighborhood that is slowly adapting with gentrification found city wide especially having less of those commercial storefronts running adverts promoting 10 pizzas for 5 bucks. I think it will do well especially for those who live off campus and local neighborhood kids looking to consume healthy. Lunch meal - Cobb Salad I'm not a fan of Kale but for what ever reasons, I went with it and I have to admit for what I spent, I'm really impressed in overall quality and freshness. My Kale was buried with juicy red grapes, sliced boiled egg, kidney beans, crispy cherry tomatoes, pickled mushrooms (dry), radishes, unsalted sunflower seeds, delicious cucumber and a colorful assortment of red and green cabbage with cobb dressing in it's own container. My cost, under $4 bucks. That is a bargain with 100% quality. This same meal in a highrise DTLA office cafeteria will hit you at $10.00+/- range. I should say that while I was trying to figure out my choices from left and right, a employee asked if it was my fist time and naturally I said yes. She explained hot meals on the left and cold on the right and briefly read out a few items and gave me a menu to keep. She is also from the neighborhood and I'm glad these businesses and alike are providing employment from within. I didn't get a chance to ask about ownership but I was able to gather a second location at 7th and Flower (the block) is coming soon. Nutrition facts are quite impressive and numbers show well. Two words: game changer. First off, check out Everytable's mission, I'm all for it! Providing affordable meals in low-income neighborhoods and adjusting the prices based on the neighborhood's socioeconomic background. This location is quaint and run by three very hardworking individuals who all have a passion for serving the people of LA. Everytable is no restaurant though, all the meals are already made and you simply grab one, or two, or forty and pay at the register. Then you can heat your bowl at the microwave, grab some utensils and enjoy your meal. Likewise, you can, as stated above, buy forty and stock them in your fridge for a few days. For $3-5 a bowl, you're getting some quality food. From jerk chicken rice bowls to vietnamese chicken salad they got a good variety of foods that WILL fill you up despite the deceptive size of the bowls. Concept to execution, this place is perfect! I love their mission of providing healthy affordable meals and donating leftover meals to local homeless shelters. The food is unbelievably cheap but so delicious! I had the chicken tinga and could not believe how flavorful and soft and juicy the chicken was. Not greasy, salty, but very hearty and homey. Attended everytable's grand opening today. There were 8 different ready made meals ranging from a Vietnamese Chicken Salad to Pozole Rojo. I had the Spicy Mexi-Cali and it was excellent - fresh ingredients, flavorful (chipotle dressing!), and I'm still full several hours after. The price? Free for the opening, but shockingly low generally. Everytable's concept is to provide affordable meals in neighborhoods that are starved for healthy, quick, and economic options. Five stars for an A+ staff and seriously incredible prices! The team working on Sunday afternoon was lovely! I went in with my Grandmother and they were sure to answer her (many) questions. :) Everyone had great smiles and attitudes. Ricky, Susanna and Brian were wonderful! I do hope this level of morale is a permanent fixture at EveryTable. Honestly, I'd go back just for the friendly people. The food was delicious. We split a jerk chicken bowl and it was more than enough for two. I can't even fathom that a place that offers such quality food has been able to set such affordable prices. Interesting and great concept, stumbled upon this last minute and decided to try it out. The food are all already pre-made, the hot foods you can microwave right then and there. It's definitely a self service place with a cafeteria feel to it. Couldn't believe how cheap it is until we read about their mission. We got the blackened Cajun fish and it was okay, good for the extremely low price of $4 I believe. Everybody deserves to eat! We should be ashamed food insecurity exists in a country where food is thrown out daily rather than shared and afforded only to those with the ability to pay. Happy to support Everytable because we believe in their mission that food is a right. Plus it's helped us decrease time in the kitchen, do better with portion control, and decrease our excessive ordering of takeout. The quality and taste are great and I'd imagine children or the elderly could easily heat up themselves. Love the idea they are socially conscious and you can even choose to pay meals forward. While they aren't organic, the food is significantly healthier when compared to eating out and only cost about $5-7 bucks a meal with the meals being pretty filling. Gotta support businesses when they are trying to fix a problem. I was hoping this building would have more than just candy and expensive fish upstairs. Well I'll keep hoping. I was met by a sour faced girl that had her arms crossed in front of her body while we spoke. She was not at all friendly and and I seemed to be bothering her. 7-21-18 My food ended up at the bottom of the bag and the bag broke through.....very flimsy bags.The food was only sealed on one side by a sticker. The blackened fish was hard and dry, the salmon rather fishy, and the soup had no taste at all. I'm not a salad person or I would have taken those because they looked fresh and had a good color. I want to note that the paper (green) containers the food was in all felt kinda squishy especially the soup container that I had to get the soup out of to even return. I recently went to Everytable and tried the Kale Caesar Salad and I must say it was on point. It was fresh and very flavor-full. The chicken in the salad was very tasty and moist. Also, the parmesan crisps were probably the best part of the salad. I'm glad they chose that over croutons. The only thing that could have been better was the caesar dressing. Everytable took me by surprise! It's rare for a place with such a community and justice-based mission to have food that is ethically sourced and priced AND TASTE GOOD. We went to the South LA location and everything was priced ~$4 per bowl (I hear the downtown LA location is ~$8). There's a wide selection of both cold and hot menu items as well. Our choices were the Vietnamese Chicken Salad and BBQ Picnic and both were scrumptious. The viet salad had a great balance of kale, noodles, and chicken. The bbq chicken in the other bowl took a little getting used to because it was a cold item and I've only had it as warm prior to this, but it was still tasty.
