I love the decor of this place. We went on a Monday night and it was fairly empty. The bartender was super sweet and got our drinks to us right away. We had our own cozy corner with no one else around us until we were about to leave. It got busy around 10-ish. I had the Bee's sting, and it definitely had heat to it! It was well made. We also shared the nut mix which came out warm and was a lovely addition to our drinks. It's not near home for us, but if you're in the area and wanting to check out a cool place for a drink, this is one stop for sure!

Enjoyed the cocktails we got here before headed to the movies. The space was properly lite and would be perfect for a date night

Great spot for a nice drink and a little snack! Me and my friends meet up here often, we love the bartenders and everything I have tried has been great.

This place is such a vibe! We came specifically for the espresso martini flights and they did not disappoint. Each one was unique and with a twist. I got the classic, autumn falls, and chocolate peanut butter. My favorite was by far the autumn falls--literally felt like you were drinking autumn leaves (in the best way lol). We also shared some appetizers but the star was definitely the flight. Service was great and everyone was very nice. Definitely would go back!

I came here for a birthday party recently and loved the space. I love that there's seating everywhere and tons of mirrors (the selfies were great). The upstairs space itself is great to host about 30-40 (possibly 50) people. So it's not too big and not too small. The decor had an old-school feel to it but the bathroom was a bit more modern. The bartenders were extremely friendly and personable. I ordered a peach Don Julio reposado Margarita and a regular margarita at first. Now I will say that tip and gratuity are included so it makes the drinks expensive. The peach margarita was cute but the alcohol vs mixer ratio didn't match, and for about $27, I feel like there shouldn't have been as much ice and the portion was smaller. Onto the regular margarita I had (made by a different bartender), was better with the ratio, however, the portion was small and it was about $30 (since I requested it to be strong). Overall I would recommend here to throw a smaller function, just keep in mind the pricing for the drinks!

These espresso martinis are incredible!! You also can have a espresso martini flight.. I didn't have the gall to order but love it! The vibes are quiet and dark, great for groups! Server was the bartender but he was attentive and quick.

Given the location in union square, I wasn't too sticker shocked by the drink prices. The cocktails were all right but not amazing and frankly not worth the price. The decor is mostly clubbing and bar scene so not really a brunch spot to chill and kill a few minutes. The food was bar food fare - Staff are night and courtesy

Cute place. Beware their sign outside says happy hour from 4-6 but they don't offer that on Sunday but don't say that anywhere. Just stayed for a drink. Had an espresso martini and it was strong and quite good. Service is good. They don't make you beg for water! They check on you to make sure you are fine, need more stuff, but it doesn't feel rushed or pushy :) The inside is pretty swanky if you ask me. My partner's cacao negroni is good-weird. Esp if you like bitter cocktails. Very happy with it, esp that slanting glass ;)

Came here the other night as part of the Tippler and I absolutely loved this bar! Pros: + Amazing food - Try the fried cauliflower. It was so incredibly delicious. + Great atmosphere + Fast service + Late Night kitchets + Perfect for Date Nights or Girls' Night out + Amazing cocktails - the Espresso martini was phenomenal + Easily accessible by Metro with reasonable street parking nearby as well. Stopped by here mid week after happy hour just ended. The place was completely empty and it was a seat yourself situation. My friend and I set in the back where it was little more private. Our server greeted us with menus as we sat down. We decided to go for the espresso flights, 6 for $69 which we would share. Once we placed our order, the waiter took almost 20 mins to get our drinks. We later realized he was both taking orders and making everyone's drinks, hence the long wait time. Prior to last week, the place had really high reviews and seemed to be well liked. So we had high hopes of this place. But after our experience, it is clear that this place is just not it. The drinks were so bad. The 6 espresso martinis were: the classic, a spicy pepper one, a chocolate one, a sage one, a citrusy one, and a autumn one. The classic one was the only decent one, nothing special. Literally all of the other ones did not taste like espresso martinis at all! The spicy pepper tasted like it was just peppers and mezcal. The chocolate one was just like baileys and far too sweet. The sage one tasted like soap! The citrusy one was a little unique, it was made with absinthe but even then it was not really edible. And the autumn one tasted like a bath and body works shop in drink form, very synthetic and artificial. Drinks aside, we really wanted to order food but the waiter did not come around at all. We had to physically go up to him several times to ask for food, napkins, utensils, and our check. He never came back to us! There was no physical food menu given to us, we looked through their website. The website described the items so wonderfully. We got our spicy fries which weren't all that great, he added a side of truffle oil to make them better. It wasn't even like a dipping sauce, just a cup of literal oil. It was bizarre. Anyway, we immediately went to ask for our check afterwards and left. We felt bad because at this point there were more people in the place but it was still just one man running the bar and taking orders. We will not return after our experience. I would advise the owner to hire more attentive staff. This experience felt like ordering through a kiosk.

We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

The bi-level bar and lounge was dark, swanky, and seductive. It would make an excellent spot for dates or groups of friends, like mine. We started off sitting at the bar, as there were no large tables available upon our arrival. However, after about 15 minutes, the host approached to tell us that he could actually seat us. I picked up my glass, which was wet with condensation, and it slipped out of my hands. I was able to collect it with only a minor spill, but the host insisted that the bar staff make me a new cocktail in case the glass had chipped at all. It was a considerate gesture that I greatly appreciated. Plus, since I had already taken a few sips, I was thrilled to get those back in a new glass! In terms of my cocktail of choice, I had opted for the Hot Tijuana Tease, a fiery blend of mezcal, blanco tequila, chile poblano liqueur, and lime juice. So, it was essentially a spicy margarita, and it was excellent. There were clean, crisp notes of peppery heat balanced with layers of robust smoke. My only complaint about the lounge was that the bathrooms were beyond tiny. There were two unisex stalls in a very tight alcove that also included a cramped sink counter. It was awkward and uncomfortable to share that space with another patron. Aside from that, the Hide Rooftop was a beautiful place with a friendly staff and interesting drinks.
