EVO North Scottsdale recently opened their restaurant in the Zocallo plaza in North Scottsdale. I took a chance on this new restaurant and reserved a table for eight for my husband's 90th Birthday. Amazing customer service, table service, food and ambiance. The manager, Anthony, personally took the time to answer my questions that I had sent on an email. He took it one step further and phoned me to make sure all the details were covered. Anthony had a "special" menu printed up for my husband; he reserved a "private" room for us and the whole staff couldn't do enough for us to make this a special evening. The food was delicious. There were several of us who were Italian and hard to please but all of us came away saying our choices of dinner were wonderful. There is no doubt that we will return to EVO with more friends. I suggest you do, too. You won't be disappointed. read more

Tried EVO North for the first time last night and it will be our last! we had a 7 pm res and were seated right away on their lovely patio, but it went down hill from there. Waited 20 minutes to order some wine. We were then told they were out of the wine we ordered. The waiter returned a second time and they were out of the second bottle we ordered. They have a very limited wine list so my husband switched to beer. Dinners were not served til 9:05 and that was after we complained to manager. Once served we were extremely disappointed. The lasagna was brown and looked like meatloaf. Very unappetizing. My chicken parmigiana was over cooked and arrived with a 1/4 thick slice of cold mozzarella. Once again inedible. We were a party of six and not one of us could eat our meal. I will say that their appetizers were good and we should have stopped there. As I walked to the ladies room I noticed many table were full of 20+ year olds drinking cocktails and taking selfies ( even in the ladies room). There were two stalls in the ladies room and one was out of order. Last night was not a pleasant experience. The only redeeming factor was that the manager realized the food came out late and very over cooked and comped out meal. They tried to make it right but this restaurant has a long way to go! read more

Horriable service , waiter ignored us most of our visit . Food took way to long to come out, no communication from anyone as to when we would get it ! Got a half ass apology from management. Nothing comp for the crap service , poor communication. Then the waiter never came over to ask how we were, or even a sorry for the trouble then he gave us the check never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee . The other evo in downtown scottsdale way better . Service is perfect , food is fast and hot . I'm pissed about this it's close to our house menu is different then other locations and I was super excited to support my fav late night place to eat . Never again I'm done. read more

I recently went here with my boyfriend and a group of friends and we sat at the bar. The service was absolutely amazing as well as the food. We mainly had appetizers and finger foods, but everything was really yummy and pretty good quality as well. I will hopefully be returning soon to dive deeper into their menu! read more

Average food, crappy service. The food was solid, nothing special but appetizing. Our server however was a complete jerk-actually another 4 letter word comes to mind. Had to ask three times for my wife's drink and the whole time he made us feel as if it was a privilege to be served by him. It came to head when he brought our tab and missed a $250 bottle of wine. I pointed this out. I received no thank you for saving his restaurant from missed revenue but received grunt and a "no one would have missed it anyway. " Never going back to this place. read more

Just dined here with some coworkers like half an hour ago. Evo is truly one of the most reliable late night restaurants in Scottsdale. Shout out to my girl Kayla for being a badass and telling it like it is to any and all annoying characters that come in that building. She truly is the best and deserves all the praise. The food is consistent for anyone looking for a late night bite (especially after work if anyone is industry) and the setting is perfect for hanging out with small or large groups. I've been here countless times after bartending shifts and it's really one of the small comforts we get after dealing with guests all day. Service was horrible! We went to celebrate our co workers birthday and we all work at a fine dining restaurant so we understand it can get busy. It waitress took forever just for drinks or to even get our checks and she seemed like she was annoyed. I ended up going to the bar just to order drinks and they had this new Hendricks gin, that we also sell at my restaurant, so I ordered two and brought it back to our table. We wanted another round and this time the other bartender told me they can't sell it to me because it's limited edition. After I explained that I already had a round she offered a different gin. I just took it and we drank that. I'm confused on if it's not for sale why is it even on the bar shelves? It should be in the back liquor room if they are deciding to not sell it. I have purchased this "limited edition" Hendricks at BevMo and will enjoy it at home and at the multiple other restaurants that are actually selling it since the liquor rep actually gave them this bottle to try like they did at our restaurant. I have been to this location before and have had good service, but now I understand what people have said about this location having the worst service. read more

Not a place for foodies!!! The worst bolognese I ever had in a restaurant ever!!! pasta was overcooked it looked like it was Garofalo organic pasta from Cotsco with Carbone sauce from Target and 3 tablespoons of cheap ground beef that was in chunks that my neighbor made, I went to school for cooking as a hobby and my BF's dad is a chef with 3 restaurants in Massachusetts, we know about food and we have been all over the place and the world, I don't review places unless they're really good or really bad.- I have a decent following on instagram that enjoys my content about my lifestyle and its pretty much about food and traveling, the service was ok, the place is NOT GOOD! it's a joke actually its meant to be for people that wants to feel bougie and celebrate birthdays and stuff get cute pics cuz the decoration serves the bougie but that's it! Our Visit to EVO was really impressive. The entire staff are really Attentive. Our main server Gabby was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. The Italian food had me feeling like I was back in Chicago. Got to check out this new location for the first time last night... such a fantastic experience! First of all the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, and the food is equally as delicious as the old town location. I have to mention the best part of the night had to have been our bartender Sandra. It seems like finding pleasant servers and bartenders has become a rare experience now-a days, but Sandra was so fun and entertaining to talk to. I just kind of stumbled upon this place because it was open late. That's a big plus for me because I usually eat later in the evening. But, even better than that, the people that work here are seriously, some of the best in the business! When you walk in you are greeted at the door with a smile and a friendly welcoming which immediately makes you feel comfortable. This decor has a classy modern/contemporary look with a cool laid-back vibe. What more could you ask for? The moment I sit down at the bar, I am acknowledged right away. It amazes me how many places I go to and sit at the bar and wait and wait for someone to come over to me, or even make eye contact with a little nod letting me know they saw me. That being said, the food at this place is top-notch really, and if something isn't to your liking, they absolutely take care of it. I've been here a few times and the food was great every time. But if for some reason, you're not happy with something, they address it and do everything they can to make sure that you are happy and satisfied by whatever means necessary. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly and professional staff, good food and drinks are why people dine out, and this place has all of that and more. This place has excellent food. New here to Scottsdale and been looking for good authentic Italian food. They have the most amazing dish called chicken pasta primavera it's exploading with flavor has a lot of really nice colors and textures in the dish with tasty green colored fresh pasta, asparagus, broccolini, pine nuts and the most amazing pesto sauce I ever had so good I get extra on the side. Also their Caesar salad is phenomenal really big generous portion and amazing tangy very flavorful Caesar dressing. They are very accommodating with to go orders everything is always hot and fresh even to go. I eat here once a week at least. Staff is friendly and accommodating to your needs. Ambiance in this place is very upscale but also accessible to come as you are. I have lived in 5 major U.S. cities and the food here is on par with some of the best food cities in the country from New York to Chicago to LA to DC. Best food in Scottsdale in my opinion. read more
