Solid place. Went on a Friday night and it was packed - including the bar, which looks decent with several large TVs for watching the game. We had the short rib and butternut squash risotto, lasagna and chicken and broccoli alfredo. The short rib was amazing and in my opinion reasonably priced (as compared to other nearby restaurants). The alfredo was also good with very tender chicken and pasta. The lasagna was a bit cheesy - would have appreciated a little more lasagna, but that's just a style I think. Our server (Viktoria) was exceptional. Clearly well trained, knew the menu and was super attentive, even given the busy environment. She even rushed out bread because my 16 year old was starving. Being a celiac, I was very excited to see the size of their gluten free menu. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, pretty simple meal. The meatballs were not made in house but still had a good flavor. The gf spaghetti was awful. It looked like it had been cut into tiny pieces before being served, making one wonder why they'd bother putting a twirling spoon in with it! The manager stopped by and I pointed out the pasta - I told him that this meant it was over cooked. He apologized but said that because of the way the kitchen is set up, ALL THE PASTA IS PRECOOKED. Came here for dinner and the white sangria was good but other than that the food was atrocious! We ordered the arancini that said nothing about having vegetables in it and it did which ruined the flavor but we still had hope for the rest. We ordered the orecchiette and mac and cheese. the orecchiette was the worst thing I have ever eaten. It could not have looked less like the pictures and the flavor was absolutely terrible and it was full of broth. I would not recommend at all and save yourself the trip! Let me start by saying the atmosphere was awesome it was like the music from the playlist was our personal Pandora. The bartenders were very attentive. it wasn't just the tantalizing food and music, the manager David S when approached about how great a meal we had was so warm and friendly. Tonight I went to visit the Hanover location. I want to start off by saying I have been in the restaurant industry for nine years. I have worked as a food runner, host, waitress, bartender, bar manager, to a general manager. What I witnessed tonight was disgusting. I will give this restaurant a 9/10 for their food. The service I got from the bar as well all the support staff was a solid 10/10. The only reason I will never return was the way the general manager screamed at one of her food runners (who gave me 10/10 service) in front of the entire restaurant. It was absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. As I was leaving I noticed I wasn't the only patron bothered by this, as I was walking out I noticed someone else expressing their frustration to the manager and how she spoke to her staff. The manger pretended to be "shocked" at how her behavior was perceived and promised she would "never" speak to one of her employees like that. This place needs to rethink their management. read more

I will admit the first time I went to Evviva Trattoria in the summer the service was less than desirable. In fact, we walked out. But I gave it a second chance and very glad I did. The food was AMAZ|ING. I had the short rib sandwich. so so very good. As was the mushroom ravioli. delicious. Compliments to the chef!!! Casual Friday night decided to try Evviva Trattoria! Happily surprised with the food! We started with the eggplant fries that were surprisingly juicy! It was a bit over fried but overall pretty good! We really liked it here. We had the cheesy garlic bread appetizer, it was very good. The adults had pizza it was crispy and cheesy goodness. Kids had a variety of pasta, nuggets and grilled cheese. They all cleaned their plates. My daughter said it was one the of best grilled cheese she has ever had. Service was great, I wish I remembered her name. Just had our second lunch at this fabulous new restaurant in Hanover! I enthusiastically review our experiences there. The restaurant is bright and welcoming. The menu is very unique with focus on Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. There are several apps available Monday-Thursday from 2-5pm that are only $6 and the portions are huge! On our first visit we shared Crispy Lasagna Fritters and Italian Street Fries which are so delicious and made with eggplant.For entrees, I had the Braised Short Rib Risotto...OMG!!! My SIL had the Roasted Harvest Salad with Grilled Salmon and again...so good!! Today we shared an appetizer for $6, the Sausage Arancini, "saffron risotto, Bianco and Sons Sausage, Peas, Cheese Blend, Bread Crumbs, Pesto, Romano, Arrabbiata Sauce." This is seriously one of the best appetizers I've ever eaten and could really be an entree! However we decided to order lunch! I ordered the Venetion Stuffed Haddock and I was not disappointed, the obviously fresh fish was prepared so uniquely that I am just going to suggest it to any fish lover. My SIL ordered the Short Rib dish that I ordered two weeks ago! Lots of leftovers to enjoy for dinner! There is a seasonal cocktail menu, decent wines and a good amount of beer choices. On our first visit our server was Care and boy did she live up to her very unique name! She clearly loves her job and knows this menu. Her recommendations were spot on. We were disappointed she wasn't there today but we were delighted to meet Kaila, she's just as enthusiastic and we left knowing we would be back asap! On both visits, the managers on duty checked in with us and genuinely wanted our feedback. I haven't written a restaurant Yelp review since I went to Santa Fe in 2018. It wasn't very good. We had to wait a very long time for our food and the bread we're supposed to get at the beginning came at the same time as our regular food. The food also came in very small portions so it wasn't really enough. My mom and my sister got food that wasn't supposed to be spicy but they said it burned they're mouths. Also, the waitress forgot to bring some sugar packets and she also forgot to refill my mom's water even though she asked. The food here is really hit or miss depending on what you get on the menu. The pizza is actually very good, and tastes like its made fresh. The pasta, not so much. Ive tried a couple of the pastas now, and neither were bad but weren't something i would order again. The sides are tasty, but way too expensive! Luckily they have some deals during certain times for those, otherwise i wouldn't get them at their standard prices as they all come with barely enough to feed one person for a tiny snack. The entrees are also on the smaller side but better priced. This location in particular has a nice indoor seating area. The bar is pretty big, and it has a cool aesthetic to it. Also there is an outdoor fire pit which is nice to sit by if you are waiting for pick up. If you do end up trying this place too, make sure to get a margarita pizza if you want to try the best thing on the menu. read more

Just returned for the first time since their opening last year and won't t be back. Went for a late lunch with my son on this torridly hot day, having decided to have one of their salads. After being seated we waited about 10 minutes without a server before flagging someone down. The young woman who was not our assigned server nevertheless offered to take our drink order. I said we were ready to place our food order, too, to which she responded with a "not my job" expression but nevertheless placed it for us. The Evviva salad and the Falafel Bowl were both served without a "can I get you anything else?" No refills were offered for our iced teas (obviously not freshly brewed). The salads were overly dressed, making the greens limp, and not particularly enjoyable. I rarely tip less than 20% but for this occasion I did not. Service can make or break the enjoyment of a meal, even if the food is sub-par. Two stars only for the comfortable air conditioning. read more

Had lunch at Evviva today with a party of 4. We enjoyed excellent food and attentive service (thank you Wendy). The Roasted Harvest salad was huge and very good. The Hot Honey wrap, chicken parmagiana sandwich and Italiano panini wera all excellent. Can't remember the type of cheesecake two of our party shared but they did rave about it. Oh - the truffle chips! These are not your greasy, oversalted usual chips. They are dry with a very slight earthy (truffly) flavor - addictive. It seems Evviva is doing a 'soft' open, but there didn't appear to be any hiccups during our vist. I suggest you check it out before word gets around. read more

I spoke to the hostess who was very frazzled, she said she would get our server. 10 more minutes, I went back and asked for the manager.
