I went to this location for a brake repaired for my car. I ask how much it cost to do all four brakes on my FJ Cruise pad and rotors. They say they will call or wait. So I said call or text, which I have other things to do. It was around 1:30, after 2 hours later I call and they haven't got to it. It's been a week and no call or text. Next day comes up came at 10:30, we paid got our receipt and car registration back but they kept our auto insurance. last month I took my wife's car into Ewa Beach Auto Repair as I've met the new manager Fred once before. He seem honest and sincere to help me with my 2015 Nissan Juke with the safety check, tune up and basic maintenance. He was very fair and upfront with what was needed and took care of it. I was expecting to pay $10-$20 for a pair of wipers replacement, he charged $2 each.. Fred informed me that he changed out the rubber blades only and not the entire arm attachment, nothing was wrong with the arm. For my own car, I buy the whole darn thing and figure out how this universal arm attachment works. I learn something and it make $en$e. Yes, I plan to bring my other car to see Fred and his crew in the future for servicing. In these times, it's hard to find someone that's sincere and does honest work. read more

Busy spot in front of the Ewa beach post office. The incredible thing about my experience is I was in and out in 30 minutes for a safety check. When I say busy, I mean, busy! But that didn't prolonged my service it visit which was impressive. Nice and cool waiting room with social distanced seating for 3 customers. Standing room for 3 max. I needed to replace the motor mounts on my Cadillac and I didn't have a lift or the time to do it. I took it in to Ewa Beach Auto Repair because they are local and veteran owned. The manager or owner was very loud & rude, and said he wouldn't work on my car because the parts are unavailable on island. When I told him I already had the parts (purchased at the Auto Zone next door), he just told me that he won't work on my car, period. He didn't have to lie, just could have said that he didn't like to work on Cadillacs if that was his issue. And after reading the reviews, I'm glad he didn't touch my car. read more

This was actually my third time taking my van to Ewa Beach Auto Repair. The first time it was for the engine oil pan and I was able to pick it up the same day. The second time was for my battery. I was also able to pick it up the same day. Which is why I went with two stars. But this last visit was really annoying. I dropped the car off Tuesday morning told them I wanted my brakes fixed and to see what this jerking my car does and why. I received no call that day. I called closer to closing and they said they'd call me back. They did after 4 which I appreciated because I know they close at 4. They told me it was my wheel bearing and not my brakes. And also gave me an explanation of what the jerking could be from. They said they'd call me in the morning to know for sure. I received no call. I called around noon and asked for the status. They asked if they could keep it another day they were closing early. I said okay. Today comes and I receive no call by 2 o'clock. I call they said they're still working on it. I asked if it was physically being worked on. She said no they have three other cars. Were those three other cars there first Tuesday morning as well? A call all three days about what was going on with my car instead of having it sit there would have been nice. I could have taken it somewhere else. I thought that was super unprofessional. I just picked my van up after it sitting for almost three days with nothing to show for it. I plan to take it somewhere else. read more

I believe this place was the old Goodyear. My hubby took my Durango for its yearly safety check. He went early anticipating a crowd because it was the end of the month and a Saturday as well. He was 3rd in line, but the line was at least 20 people deep when they opened up. The team was efficient and polite, given how busy you could tell they would be. My hubby was quoted 45min wait. I picked up my chevy from the service center at the dealer following regular scheduled service. I was told my radiator was leaking and was bone dry. They quoted me a ginormous amount to replace it and 1 week to get the part in. I couldn't believe it as I had not seen any leaking on my garage floor. When I got home, I noticed the leaking right after I parked my truck. I was pretty stressed out about getting the work done quickly, accurately and reasonably. I had used Ewa Beach Auto Repair before in the past for a similar "emergent" need. So I took my truck down on a Friday first thing in the morning as a walk in. They got me right in, and called me within a few hours and told me the result of the diagnostic test and gave a quote that was a generous savings from the dealer quote. I was so relieved to pick up my truck the next afternoon with a brand-new radiator. Everyone was really friendly and answered all my questions. Went in for a safety check with a friend for their car. When calling around, Ewa Beach Auto Repair was one of the very few still able to take customers so close to the end of the year (last week of 2021). Customer service was great both over the phone and in-person. When we got there we were told it'd be about 20 minutes but it was actually faster! Would have given 5 stars but I thought it to be a little unnecessary for us to have to get out of the car in a time when COVID numbers were in the thousands. Inspector was very nice and patient waiting for us to get out of the car (2 adults and 2 keiki), wore a mask, and was quick! I would have preferred they wore gloves when moving the car as an extra precaution. Other than that, everything was quick and easy. read more

Took my car for an oil leak check not to long ago. I knew something with the oil pan was up but i only wanted them to repair that as I can fix the other issues. Had diagnosed ($150) told me vvt solenoids were leaking, valve cover, and oil pan. They wanted to charge me $1500 just to fix 3 things. I declined the other services and only wanted the oil pan as i can fix the other issues. Which it still ended up being $600. Anyways pick up the car drove it home, lord and behold the check engine light comes on. Check the code and it was for THE VVT SOLENOID THAT I DECLINED TO REPLACE!!!! Checked my wires going to it found whoever was working on my car crossed the wire leads going to it, and broke my plastic clip that held it together. Not only that but they said they did an oil change as they changed the oil pan gasket. FAKAS KEPT THE SAME OIL FILTER I HAD FROM BEFORE!!! I replaced the valve cover gasket and solenoids myself but I am still having an oil leak. People don't trust these dudes maybe except for a safety check. Just learn to work on cars yourself. read more

Took my car in for an engine light. I recently replaced my O2 sensor at another repair shop. They have me a free diagnostic test, in which they could not determine why the O2 sensor wasn't working, but stayed it looked spliced for some reason. They quoted me $149 for another diagnostic test in which they would have to take it apart, they showed me that the wires were cut and held together with electrical tape and that my CV boot was leaking and repaired with duct tape. They quoted me about $800 to replace the O2 sensor and CV boot, parts included. They finished the job in a few hours. My engine light came on again the next day, in which they said to bring it back. They found another unrelated problem in which something was leaking, they repaired with no charge. They are very thorough and reasonable. They will now be my go to for all my car's needs. read more

The 1 star RH gave was real. I myself left a review and here it is again...Took my car in for an oil leak. They charged me $150 to inspect. They said I had 3 leaks and quoted me $2107. Thinking BS, I had the engine cleaned and dried...drove it for 10 miles and then inspected. One leak only from the cam plugs. $10 in parts and 30 minutes of labor all fixed. Over a year later and not a drop of oil! He said my review was fake since it my first review ever. That just meant they were that bad to push me over the edge to take this time to review them. I forgot my wallet at home...he didn't trust me to call in payment...so he drove me to my house round trip to get the card. The quote was so off and padded it makes me wonder if they ever tried. worrisome that they work on government vehicles. I hope they don't pad those quotes. Taxpayers on the hook? I also hope our government gets bids from competitors. They are not trusting for quotes. I did get the hint of racism here too. If you think I am lying, take me to court for slander. They will mess up your car and they will not take responsibility if they do damage I brought my Camaro in and they returned my car in poor condition. they took extra long I think they were trying to cover up their mistake. They gave me a full refund but they were very rude about it I had to get other people involved to acquire my refund. I took my car in for an oil change. After driving 4 miles the check engine oil message came up and the car started smoking. Turns out, the oil filer was not sealed properly. The guys sprayed carbon degreaser and water on the engine to "clean" the oil covering the engine. I saw the oil pouring from the top of the engine and under the car. If I had not been paying attention or if I would have went directly home, my engine would be ruined! The manager showed no compassion, empathy nor offered an apology for the oversight and the damage caused. He made no made no efforts to apologize for the oversight. Also, they made no effort to properly clean the oil contamination on the pavement. They simply sprayed the contaminated oil down the storm drain. I have video evidence. Very disappointing experience. I don't know much about this place other than the fact that they're kind of new to the shopping center. I thought I'd give them a try since there aren't a lot of car shops in Ewa, so I gave them a call and was answered by a blunt, rude young lady. Wanted to know what the wait time would be for an oil change and tire rotation and she was very unfriendly and bothered in her response. She said it wasn't that busy and then hung up the phone on me immediately. I came here randomly on a Saturday morning after finding out that I had some issues with my vehicle after it was parked on the street. I called Ewa Beach Auto Repair right away and they said that they were not busy so I just drove down. Fortunately, I was able to drive car without major issues down the way. The shop is conveniently located behind the Ewa Beach shopping plaza area and right across of the Ewa Beach post office. After dropping off the car for diagnosis, I found out that I had a stolen catalytic converter along with damages to the wiring system. First off, I was really bummed, but of course mad as hell to discover auto theft on my vehicle! I was able to pick up my vehicle the next day and they ended up not charging me with the diagnostic fee since they were able to spot it without having to do much work. The guys at the shop kept me pretty updated with what went on with the car and even emailed me an estimate/quote of charges should I pursued the repairs with them. I ended up putting the repair off to the side for now because the costs for everything is quite a pretty penny. Once I get enough saved up for the repair will try to hit this guys up for sure in the future. I will end this review to all of the catalytic converter thieves out there on Oahu... hella shame on you guys - hope you guys get mayjah batchi!! Alright, so there I was driving to a gas station and then BOOM! A loud explosion occurred (disclaimer not an actual explosion) it was more like a pop. So,you know pulled into a lot with what little motion the car still had and parked. Looked at my from passenger tire and it did a thing. It was you know not in the correct position all messed up and rubbing up again the top of the wheel well. Welp got it towed to the nearest shop. Turned out to be this place. So, I caught them right before closing so they had no time to work on it not to mention my car was kinda busted so it was hard to move. Well the next day they called me to let me know what was going down. They gave me the whole run down what was wrong, what needed fixing, and how much it would be. They would not perform any work I declined, but you know they are the experts so I said do what needs to be done. So after a hot minute working on my piece of poop. They told me it was ready for pick up that day. Keep in mind it was past closing time. They continued the work past closing and even stayed open to allow me to come and pick up my car. Honestly that was the true homie hook up. They didn't need to do that, but they told me they would be waiting for me to pick up the car. This is excellent service. I was truly pleased. They also with that initial diagnostic and work performed told me other stuff I may look into getting fixed. Honestly great work and the car drives like a dream.
