I've taken all of my cars to Ewa Beach Auto for everything from safety inspections to oil changes, A/C system inspection and recharge, 1-hour diagnostic, and 4-wheel alignments. They're priced very reasonably and I've yet to have any issues. Having a 90's JDM sports car, it's also nice to have such a trustworthy shop for alignments and other maintenance items. Went in for my safety check. The wait was a little less than an hour, but I got comfortable in my car and it went by quickly. Granted it was the end of the month and they let me know what the wait looked like when I gave them my information and paid. The tech was quick and apologized for me having to wait. I told her it was my own fault for waiting. I would recommend calling beforehand because if they get backed up they don't take any more even if it's before their regular hours. read more

BEST PLACE TO GET A SAFETY INSPECTION!!! I was calling around and many places needed an appointment or only did inspections on certain days. They are behind the shopping area across from the post office in Ewa Beach. They are walk in only. THEY WERE INCREDIBLE EFFICIENT!!! They had two inspectors that day around noon. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. FAST EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY!!! I'll definitely go to these guys next year. read more

The most honest, efficient, reliable mechanic service on island! My parents have been going to them for years, since moving back home, I've been going to them for safety checks, as well as minor inconveniences/repairs for my vehicle. Today I did a walk-in, they were able to see me in a timely manner and fix the horn issue fast! While other mechanics as well as the dealership quoted me outrageous prices; Ewa Beach Auto Repair gave me an amazing quote! I was out of there within an hour or so. They have walk in state safety inspection, first come first serve! Very handy, you just check in at the desk, bring your papers (insurance and registration), then get in your car and pull up to the cones and wait for the inspection. They were very friendly. The process was fast, and there was only one car in front of me. I'm sure that can vary but grateful to find a walk-in place. TIP TO FIND IT: It's a little hard to find...it's in the back behind Autozone and McDonald's on Fort Weaver, directly across from the post office. You can either enter by McDonald's and go back around the strip of stores- enter on Papipi Rd, on the entrance across the street from the new Taco Bell/ Pizza Hut store. read more

Unfortunately overpriced, and terrible service. They were dishonest about the services they did, ignored my appointment time, and tried to double charge me. I got my tire patched here for $53 (even tho it's $25 at other local shops), but then a week later i had a flat. I called them back and explained the situation. The receptionist apologized, confirmed it was the same tire (rear right side), and told me that they "forgot" to patch it. She made me an appointment to come get it fixed at 2:45 Monday. Then when I showed up, they said they were too busy and to come back later. When I explained everything, the office staff found a note in my original chart indicating that the "left tire" was flat, not the right... but the note didn't specify passenger vs driver side, just "left". So how do I know that the note isn't referring to the left side facing the car? Then the staff started discussing outloud how they don't remember which tire was fixed, or if they just forgot to patch it. They went to check the security footage to see if they could tell because they were that unsure, but didn't find anything. Finally they just told me that if I wanted it fixed, they would charge me a second time. When I told them that the receptionist explicitly told me they forgot to patch my right rear tire, she denied ever saying it. Mistakes and miscommunications happen, and if they just clarified the situation or apologized i wouldn't even write a review, but instead I walked away not even knowing if either of my tires were ever patched at all. ***The business owner already made personal attacks and cussed me out online, so I'm expecting the same treatment here... but I'm just a customer who was told by your own staff that your shop made a mistake, and then overheard your own discussions about not knowing. How would you feel if you were the customer witnessing all that? Would you still trust their word that they patched your tire? read more

I finished work at 3, but every place I called close to my work, was booked for a couple weeks. My friend said ewa beach auto repair does safety checks till 3:30. By far the best place to get your safety check, The wait was less than 15 minutes (even though was told the wait was 45 mins) and the process took less than 10 mins. My car was leaking oil quickly. Not knowing this for week, poor maintenance and not understanding the importance of oil-top-off on a monthly basis in between oil changes has cost me dearly and with several auto shops warning me, "don't start the car as you could blow out the engine". After one auto shop towing my car and checking for oil leaks and explaining he found "glitter" in the oil he drained and changing out my oil, I thought I was cleared. Two months later, my car wouldn't start up again. Thankfully, my brother, visiting from SF, knew immediately that the cranking sound my car was making earlier in the week confirmed his suspicion that all my oil leaked out again. After filling it up with oil, the car started right up and allowing me to take my car to an auto shop. After explaining all of this to Freddie at Ewa Beach Auto Repair and after assessing my car it turned out the damage was done and to fix it would cost me between $4k and $6k or save thousands of dollars and check my oil on a weekly to 2-week basis and top off regularly for the next 3 to 4 years. Vehicle inspection. Of course it is first come first serve so you have to wait in line until they open. I was the 4 person in line and within 30 min I was completed. I had to get a safety check done and called on a Saturday to see if they took walk-ins. They did! I went and checked in, gave my keys and paid up. There was a 30 minute wait which I didn't mind at all so hung out outside. The gentleman that did it was Eddie and was super nice.
