We've eaten here a number of times but it had been awhile since we'd been there. We ate there yesterday and all 3 of us were very happy with our meals. I've been eating Thai food in Verde Valley and although it's passable, it's not as good as Ewa's. None of our restaurants ask what spiciness level we want. We were in Flagstaff over spring break and decided to grab dinner in downtown. Most places were packed, and since we were craving Thai food, we ended up here. Luckily, we were seated right away. They offer a wide menu, including wine, sake, and other drinks, which was a nice surprise. However, there was only one server managing the entire floor, so service was quite slow. We ordered the chicken sauté, Tom Yum soup, and drunken noodles. The Tom Yum soup was decent, but a bit pricey--especially since the cup portion was very small, so we had to upgrade to a bowl. The biggest disappointment was the drunken noodles. It's usually a safe choice, but this was honestly one of the worst versions I've had. The flavors were off and it just didn't come together. We went here after seeing good reviews on the Find Me GF app. The menu had several labeled GF options which was awesome for the person in our party with celiac's. We had spring rolls (Yum!) and I had the drunken noodles with fried tofu (extra yum!) the Mai tai was super tasty too, and our waitress could not have been sweeter! All in all a good Thai food experience. It's tough to top the Thai food found in the Bay Area but this was definitely was not as toned down as other Thai places I've been to outside of dense asian enclaves. I had to jump at the opportunity to order larb since that isn't offered all the time. The flavors were mostly there but I was bummed I didn't get large pieces of lettuce to make my wraps. 7.5/10 The fried egg rolls were pretty standard and fried to perfection. The decor of the place was really cute and cozy. I'm happy I got to try this place when I visited Flagstaff as it's one of my friend's favorite places. read more

Slightly off. The Massaman curry has a different color to it than traditionally offered. Instead of yellow, it was light brown, hardly bolstering its appearance. It had a pretty good flavor, but a few bites, to me, packed a strange smell. The portions were extremely generous. They remembered to pepper the dish with ample vegetables, never enough, but more than so many Thai eateries include. Chicken meat seemed fine. The Thai iced tea: grand disappointment. Don't order it. The drink was warm. The waiter asked me how I wanted them to make it. That was a turn off and also shows that they haven't figured out how they're going to prepare this. We came here while in town and the food was amazing! We had the calamari, spring rolls, pad Thai, fried rice, and teriyaki chicken. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. The only downside was not getting the drinks right away, and it taking a long time before getting the appetizers. Our server was great, even though they were really busy. read more

Stopped here on our way home to San Diego. Air conditioning was great since August temps were in the 90's! Server Darren was fantastic and knowledgeable about menu items and around town. Very clean, quiet (we were in early around 5:00p.m.) tables, long padded bench seating along 2' walls! Chicken noodles and Hawaiian fried chicken rice also delicious and pretty presentation. The crispy eggrolls were good with a clean taste of the veggies not oil. The papaya salad was excellent, but it did have a little too much dressing for my taste, next time I would ask for it on the side. But the dressing was really good. "THIS PLACE DISCRIMINATES AGAINST CHRISTIANS...AND THAI PEOPLE!" I regularly eat Thai food and every time I have ever asked a Thai server if they recommend chicken or pork with Panang they ALWAYS, WITHOUT EXCEPTION say, "Pork, of course! I am Thai and Thai people prefer pork!" So, imagine my surprise when I ordered Panang pork and was told that, "Because some of our customers are Muslim, we don't have pork on the menu." I responded, "But don't you prefer pork?" She said, "Of course! I'm Thai! But we have to be inclusive." So, what we have here is discrimination against me--a Catholic who prefers pork with Panang, just like Thai people--in favor of Muslims who do not eat pork. So, in an effort not to offend one group, they offend another (not to mention their fellow Thai people), and call it "inclusive". If they were actually committed to inclusivity, they would offer pork so that non-Muslims and, particularly Thai people, could enjoy authentic Thai food and allow their non-pork eating customers the respect and freedom to order something else. I would not return to this place, on principle, no matter how good their food might be. I have too much self-respect for that. read more

The food is tasty but I feel like they're portion size is a little on the small end. Blessed meal I had here was the Pad See Eww. It was good, but noodle wise I think the Pad Thai is better. This was a nice little find. After eating mostly American food in Sedona, this place brings us back to our roots. Well sorta as we're southeast Asian but not Thai. Our whole family enjoyed this meal. It seemed a little pricey at first, but each dish does come with rice. For our whole family of 4 (2 little ones), our meal came to just about $50. You can't get that in the Bay Area, CA. One thing is a must is the side order of steamed veggies. It's plain, but goes really well with the panang curry. You can put anything in the panang curry because it's already so rich and full of goodness. But veggies are good for you so don't forget to add that. It's a good value for just $3.50. What a cute little spot. We are staying 20mins away and came downtown to find some dinner. Love the patio seating, the ambience, and the decor. We ordered the sampler platter to start. The items were good but seemed like the oil was too hot since the edges were all super crispy. The cream puff was the one I liked most but it was still a little too overcooked for my taste. I ordered the pad see ew with no meat. The noodles were tender and the broccoli and carrots were tender-crisp. The sauce was a little salty for my preference but still good overall. Hubby got the chicken noodle with level 2 spice. The noodles are delicious and egg-y. Flavors were good but he wished he ordered it at a 3. The 2 was a little more on the mild side but he was worried the 3 would be too hot. The chicken was tender, well-seasoned, delicious; however, he didn't remember there were peanuts in the dish until he got to the bottom (will just have to remember to mix it up or ask for extra). Cousin ordered the pad Thai. The noodles looked like they were going to be spicy with their color, but they were not at all. The ratio of chicken to the rest of the dish was just right, the noodles were cooked just like she liked, and she enjoyed every bite. Service was chill and laid back so don't expect a rushed service experience. I really loved the patio and the music they had playing. There used to be a great Thai restaurant I thought in this location, but I hadn't been here for years so I came in tonight. It was totally different experience. The service was bad.. soup came out after the dinner, my food came out 10 minutes after the people that came in after me, I asked for everything with no onions, no one ever checked on me or refilled my drinks... food was fairly average, debris on the floor.... Appetizers came with dinner, and we had to ask for our check twice. The food had a decent flavor, but what really anoid me was being charged $2 for less than 2 dips of sweet and sour sause for our egg rolls we order. We sat outside, which was better than the ambiance of the very underwhelming interior. Driving through Flagstaff on the way to Sedona & found this gem via Yelp. I live in an area that doesn't offer delicious Thai food & Ewa's fit the bill! Two young ladies served the entire place. Pleasant, on the ball servers. Food was on point. Heat level was #4 for hubs, but for my taste buds, it could have been warmer. I just added sambal. Spring rolls were nice and crispy. Yellow Curry did not disappoint. Nice chunks of potatoes & shredded chicken. Pad Thai - awesome! If we are passing through again, we will definitely stop at Ewa's Thai. read more
