Tom K. quoted me a price estimate by the hour; he said that's how he does business and that he never quotes estimates by the number of items to repair. Well, he did the exact opposite when it came time to give me the bill for services performed. He ended up charging me $90 (about 30%) more than his initial estimate. Josh worked on various electrical issues we had on our outdoor grill and surrounding outlets. He is the third electrician to work on these problems but the first to actually solve what was causing the problems. In just over one hour he was able to troubleshoot, suggest solutions and fix the problems. And he actually showed up on time, a rare thing for electricians. I'm late in writing this review. A friend of mine just asked me if I could recommend a good electrician, I told him we used a decent company last October for an emergency repair & we were happy with their service, but I couldn't for the life of me remember who it was! Anyway, long story short, I did find out that it was Excel Electric that we used & they did a good job at a reasonable price. We had a GFCI go out on us & (as it turned out) a breaker, Excel came out promptly & explained the issue (Having an Air Fryer/Toaster oven & Microwave going at the same time on the same circuit was not a good idea). So they replaced the GFCI, reset the dodgy breaker (I will get it replaced) & gave me a quote to have our pretty old breaker box upgraded. Overall a good experience with a decent, knowledgeable company, I will certainly use them again. read more

Tom and his crew are fabulous. Johnny from Excel has been out for multiple ceiling fan installs and a bathroom fan/light combo. Every job has been smooth on their part. Tom gives me a clear price when I call to book the job. He texts to check-in and negotiated a discount when I had to have a pair of fans removed (I had purchased fans with remotes that interfered with each other). Johnny has communicated when there will be drywall cuts and most of them were made with as minor a cut as possible, saving patch costs. Since my husband has passed away, I have had several workmen to the house to repair different things. Some were good, some mediocre, none have compared with Excel. I needed some small things done. I saw their van next door, gave them a call, John came out and sorted everything. Some of it was dead light bulbs in a 20 foot ceiling, some of it trouble shooting and upgrading gfi outlets. All was handled professionally and cheerfully at a reasonable price. They were able not only to diagnose the problems quickly but they were also able to fix them in a very fast manner. The pricing is definitely reasonable considering the high level of service that they provide. My only wish is that I had found them years ago. Can not say enough good things about these guys. I needed a Level 2 Charger installed in my Garage. The company owner gave me all the info I needed. He was knowledgeable and priced the job over the phone. His Electrician arrived on time and did a wonderful job. This was a little tricky to get the conduit over to the charger location. Johnny was an artist in the way he bent the conduit and laid out the path to the charger location. I was really impressed with the service and quality of the work. Tom called me within 10 minutes of me putting in my yelp inquiry. I thought I had a damaged ceiling outlet in my garage which my garage door plugs into. I described my problem and instead of sending people out he gave me instructions on how to fix the issue. The instructions he gave me worked and no one had to come out. We're VERY happy with the work Excel Electric did for us. Tom responded by phone within minutes of my request for a quote to install a ceiling fan. The quote was reasonable, within the other quotes I'd received. He sent their crew over within the hour. The guys arrived and got to work. They were neat and prepared the work area with proper plastic as they needed to drill and cut out a hole for the new fan and then thread through new wiring to the light switch. We've used Excel Electric three or four times in the past five years. I'm way behind on giving them the praise they deserve. The first time, they installed nine light fixtures for us, and we felt so comfortable having them in the house and handling all the newly purchased goods. The did a great job, and we appreciated the white glove service they gave us. They've also come out when a circuit blew out and fixed that, and then came again when we had a similar problem in another area. We have an old house with crazy wiring. Total satisfaction! We had a quick turn-a-round job, we were installing A/C and had an old Pacific fuse board that we wanted to replace.
