What was previously moss, weeds, and more recently gopher holes is now beautifully a maintained lawn. He also updated up our sprinkler timing and makes sure each week that the grass is getting enough water still and has adjusted it as needed. It's also worth mentioning that Rafael is extremely responsive and helpful - we had an issue with our drip sprinkler system and didn't know how to fix it, Rafael took a quick look and brought the correct piece needed from home the next day. Before the appointment, I had both verbally and in writing asked them to make sure they did **not** go to a different address in another town. The receptionist confirmed that the estimator had gone to the wrong address and assured me he would come to the correct one. Unfortunately, after waiting another hour, I never heard from the estimator or the office. My attempts to call the office also went unanswered. At that point, it became clear that no one was coming and no one was going to let me know. Mistakes happen, but what disappointed me most was the lack of communication and professionalism. GCSF wasted more than 90 minutes of my time and couldn't extend the courtesy of a simple phone call or update. Based on this experience, I can't recommend them.

For months, we called and followed up multiple times regarding the issues with the irrigation and the condition of the work, and we were repeatedly ignored. You were aware of who we were despite the Yelp review being under a different name because we were the ones consistently reaching out with no acknowledgment. Regarding the irrigation issue: the damage wouldn't have occurred if your crew had properly capped the existing irrigation before installing the pavers. The fact that you had to redo a section later at no charge doesn't negate that the issue was caused by your team's oversight in the first place. Had you taken responsibility and communicated with us when we initially reached out, we wouldn't have had to resort to a public complaint. It's disappointing that it took a Yelp review to get any kind of acknowledgment.

I reached out to about 10 contractors for quotes and Juan's bid was in the mid-range. From the first walk-through, he was knowledgable and asked questions to help me understand what my options are. Unlike some others, he was never pushy and that made me feel more comfortable about working together going forward. He estimated that the entire project (leveling the backyard, building a short wall, French drain, and adding gravel) would take 2 weeks and they finished ahead of schedule. The crew installed all the plants, decomposed granite, and irrigation perfectly. Our architect also commented that she really liked the crew and that Juan in particular was very knowledgeable. Not to mention Juan is just a really nice guy and was open to the small changes we had to make as we were doing installation. In total it took three weeks to complete the entire project. His crew was great and Juan also works with them, he doesn't just only project manage. He was here all day nearly every day with the crew. It's a small company but they do great work, pay attention to detail like grading, and clean up after themselves every day. They did such a good job, after he finished we asked him to help redo a fence later as well and also continue to come biweekly to maintain the yard.
