Navigating to Keith's was a bit of a challenge because my GPS kept taking me someplace else, but eventually I got it figured out. When entering there is a huge American flag as the center piece of the bar. The place is spacious, but there are a good amount of stairs to get into the entrance. Ordered a beer and wings Buffalo extra crispy hot. The beer was as good as the service, it was very good. The wings though were cooked, but not crispy. Our server took them and dropped another order. The replacements were better, but not really crispy. So my life hack now is to order my wings naked and crispy with the sauce on the side, so if they come out with rubbery skin I can just ask them to drop them back in the grease.

There were a handful of people around, mostly at the bar. The same girl that welcomed us in, got us seated and was also our server. She gave got our drinks and then gave us time to look over the menu. Their slogan, "A lil' something for everyone" is spot on. They have soups, salads, sandwiches, dinner plates, seafood and even vegan options. There is no shortage of options here. I had an ice cold Yuengling draft and we ordered the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. These were crispy, steaming hot and cheesy. The marinara dipping sauce really stood out to me. It was chunkier than normal marinara and just boasted a flavor that seemed made in-house, not from a jar. For dinner, I ordered the grouper Rueben and my wife ordered the Melt. The grouper Rueben had fresh well cooked grouper on it. Thousand Island dressing brought the sauerkraut and Swiss together and it was all packed inside a tasty marbled rye bread. I opted for the side of sweet potato fries. These had a really nice sweet potato taste and didn't seem to be previously frozen fries. They were good! They just needed to be more crispy. They were a little soft and soggy, some of them. My wife enjoyed her melt. It was basically the burger version of my sandwich. Marbled rye bread, onions, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing. I particularly like the location of this place. Not necessarily the intersection of Lithia-Pinecrest and 60 but the old wooden house situated under oak trees. It seems like a whole other world from the bustling area around it. An oasis you could say, with cold beverages, good food and friendly people. We'd come back this place again.

I've literally been coming here since my college days, partying, laughing, making memories, and somehow after all these years... they STILL got it Usually I stick to my favorites -- the wings and those loaded tater tots with the scallions, bacon, cheese, and of course ranch because ranch is REQUIRED over here BUT this time? The people I went with had already ordered food before I got there, and when I finally tried those loaded nachos... Y'ALL I was in complete disbelief. I don't even think words can explain the level of happiness that hit me in that moment. The vibes were amazing, the company was amazing, the drinks were flowing, and honestly it reminded me why this is still one of my favorite bars in New Tampa.
