One and done . I will not be returning. The sanitation is poor. They clean the pedicure tubs with the same sponge and towel. Recycle germs ! They just rinse the manicure bowls (no antibacterial cleaner). I had to ask them to use new tools to do my pedicure as they did not wash them or grab new tools after the person who received a pedicure before me. I had the experience of Mimi as my nail tech. She ask me to choose a color, so I chose a soft pink ( my go to color ) and she grabbed the colors saying, no baby that's too light. She then chose a color. I responded with a no that's ok, I don't really like that color. She made a face , then she began roughly tugging my hand and drilling my nails. Wtf right ? As she continue to drill she nip my cuticle to the point of burning. I informed her she was being too rough and she cut me, she said it's because I have to cut your cuticles down. I get my nails done often and I know for a fact you do not have to be cut to shorten the cuticle. At this point she is so upset , she's frowning. She began to speak with her husband who responded gentle , gentle in English. I ask if I could see another color sample ring. She informs me the other colors are chrome. I tell her I like one of the colors on the chrome. She says , no chrome. That's too expensive , it'll be another $20. I told her that was fine. She said no , I don't think chrome . I asked her why she didn't want to do the chrome , would it take too long ? She said it takes a while. Her husband then began to get the chrome colors. I told him it was ok , I do not want her to mess up my nails , so I'll get what she knows how to do. Then , her husband became irritated putting the chrome down and doing s heavy sigh. My nails and feet turned out okay . But, not good enough for the attitude. read more

I was here a few months ago Its rare to find a place where they aren't pushing you for all the extras. The owner was very nice advised us on doing gel but didn't push. I loved the gel! My friend and I have been looking for a nice place to get our nails done close to home and I found this place on yelp with great reviews. We decided to try it out and we are so happy we did. We called in and the nice lady on the phone told me she only had 2 people working today so it might take a little longer then usual. We weren't in a rush and decided to go anyway. They have several chairs and a sofa for seating. There are 4 or 5 chairs to get your pedicure done and about 6 workstations for manicures. I really like the Gel Polish because it lasts for at least 2-3 weeks with no chipping. They had PLENTY of different color choices. Different hues of red, pink, green, glitter and even yellow! The lady assisting us was super nice and did a great job. Even better, she spoke English and was able to communicate with us. If you are have sensitive skin then the UV light "drying boxes" may not be a good idea because it can get kinda hot , not uncomfortable but definitely on the warm side. No complaints with the pedi... it was so relaxing!!! However, my fill felt rushed and I think there was a miscommunication on how I wanted my nails painted... There was another customer there and honestly I wouldnt mind waiting until she was done with her to work on me... but instead she tried to do 2 things at once... Mimi also told her husband (in vietnamese) that shes going to charge me $15 dollars for my fill because it was a complicating task.... (I asked for my nails to be shorter and shaped the same) As a nail technician, how is filing nails considered a hard task? Mimi recommended that my shape had to be more round/almond since its shorter... I had my nails short and pointy before... so I know it CAN be done... Shit, I wouldn't mind filing my own nails... I probably would of done it better and quicker... Don't think I'll be back again... Btw... Mimi didn't accept the 10% discount for checking in on yelp. I've been debating this review for a while now. In a way, I want to keep Mimi a secret from the rest of you. But I decided to stop being selfish and tell you how great her work is. I've gotten gel manicures in several locations (both cheap and pricey nail salons) and they would usually last about a week before chipping and cracking. I was starting to believe that I just had shitty nail beds that couldn't hold gel (or regular polish for that matter). and then I stumbled across exotic nails and decided to try a new shop. When I got there Mimi decided to take me even though it was late and her hands were ridiculously exhausted from continuous manicures all week (nye week). I got both a pedi and gel mani the pedi lasted over a month and my gel manicure lasted a whole 3 weeks! I do have weird nail beds but Mimi took her time with my nails and perfected my tiny nails. Some words of advice Mimi is the only manicurist on staff and she has a lot of clients so be prepared to wait. Believe me, it's worth the wait. read more

Updated review I have been coming here for 6 months and am still in love with the place. Mimi is the best and so nice. Unfortunately they are understaffed but it is worth the wait. THEY TAKE THEIR time to make sure your nails are done to perfection. I was afraid of a gel main since my experience with my previous salon in SFV. They would sand the nail down thinner in order to do the gel. However this salon does not do that, they only use the sander to remove a small portion of the gel and use the acetone and after a few min it comes right off. I literally just got home from this place and I have to say I'm never going back I've always seen Mimi (the owner) be rude to other customers and I didn't like that but I kept going because I was used to that place but today was the worst she's the rudest and she's going to end up losing all her clientele because of that. I did the chrome nails and she absolutely did a great job. She takes her time with her work. I been to other places around the area and they always end up doing a horrible job. Nails will lift, break off or just look super thick without shape...I ask for coffin and they wouldn't look like coffin nails. She however, does an amazing job at what she does. The first time I went here, it was great. There was hardly a wait and the owner was able to give me these gorgeous grey coffin gel nails. I swore to everyone that this was my go to nail salon from then on. The second time I went, the wait was about an hour I would say. The owner jumps back and forth helping other clients with their nails. She finally got around to me and was able to re fill and shape my acrylics into coffins again. At this point, I was the only one in the salon and after reshaping my nails she passed me to another lady so that she would paint my nails and then left the salon for a break. There must have been miscommunication when the owner told her my color number because it took her 4 tries to get my color correct. I didn't remember the number because the owner chose it for me, so it difficult to help her as well. After trying the third color, the lady was upset for not being able to find the right color due to the wrong number written on the nail bottle. (More to explain but I left the salon with an unappealing color because everyone she placed a color on my nail that wasn't the color I chose, she would have to file it down) My third time, I called in at 5 to see if they can take me in because I knew I was going to get there at 630 & fortunately they told me to come in anyway. I got there at 545 surprisingly, and when I got in they told me it would be a two hour wait and asked if that was okay. Then after, they told me they can't take me in anymore after waiting 15 min already. They are unreliable and impatient. And it's not worth the decency of the nice nails. You can def find a better place with a better experience. read more
