If I could've given this place zero stars I would've. I have no idea how their services are because I received none. I called to make 2 appointments for pedicures at 6:15. Got to the place and there was only one person doing pedicures. She said oh I am going to do both pedicures. I said specifically asked if I could make 2 pedicure appointments. If she would've said oh it will be back I wouldn't have taken it. It completely wasted an hour of my time that I could've been doing something productive. Never again will I come back. Plus, they don't even line their pedicure bowls so who knows how well the clean them. So maybe this was a blessing in disguise. But still very annoyed. My boyfriend found this location at the spur of the moment. They were so nice from the moment we sat down. Tina was already trying to get to know us which was nice. Julie is an older lady ho barely spoke but thats ok. Tina took care of my man soooo well even he was surprised. She took out his splinter and sanitized it and gave him some medicine so that it wouldn't infect it. He definitely wants to come back. As for me I loved that Julie was very detailed and professional, even in the midst of a blackout!! She made sure that every nail was perfect. My grandma is visiting from the Philippines and I wanted to pamper her. Took her here while I get my hair dyed next door. She did not want to get a pedicure because her's was fairly new so I asked if they can do a manicure for her and i asked for a gel polish. Their price board says Manicure $10 and im guessing with gel it would be $20-$25. My grandma does not speak good English and she is 80 years old. I came back an hour later only to find out they charged her $45 for manicure only. When I asked for a break down they said we put glitter ombré on her thats $40 and plus the gel is $5. They took advantage of the fact that my grandma was non-English speaking and they decided the design for her. I feel sick thinking that there are such people who would do such thing for money. I have had the worst experience at nail places probably compared to everyone in AMERICA. I have to get my nails done once a week... its an addiction. This place is horrible with the horrible attitude owner. So boring n all you hear is the owner speaking in her own language. She is so impatient and will not even talk to you! Then when she was charging my card, she kept on talking and charge my card $301.!!! Then she returned it to my credit card instead of cancelling the transaction. Worst experience EVER! I came here for the first time trying to find a nail place closer to home. I found this place on Yelp and it had 4.5 stars so I thought it would be a good place. I figured that you can't go wrong with a simple pedicure...big mistake! The lady that gave me a pedicure was obviously not experienced and had no idea what she was doing. It started out ok when she soaked my feet and took my polish off. Then, she began to cut my cuticles...she had cut one of my toes so deep that it started bleeding. She then poured acetone on my cut and it burned really bad. I was shocked that she did not apologize and what made matters worse, the lady kept digging on my cut. I finally asked her to please stop and asked for neosporin or alcohol wipes. On top of my horrible cut, she manages to mess up on polishing my toe nails. This was an overall horrible experience. I got a full set with ombré/gradient tip manicure on top of my full set while my friend got gel nail and cheetah prints on her thumb & ring finger. My friend's nails came out just fine (although they charged her a total of $33--$25 for gel nails & $8 for the design. $8 for cheetah prints on 4 nails. You can be the judge of that...) So for my experience, the lady was REALLY REALLY bad at doing acrylics. She took 1 hour to just finish the full set itself. Then took another 45 minutes to do the gradient. I asked her before I started if she was able to do it. She said she could do gradient. It turned out horrible. I wish I took a picture before I went to my friend's to get them repainted. It was really bad. But that's not the worst part. She kept grinding my skin and now 4 out of 10 fingers have open cuts on the cuticle area. Now I'm currently getting my nails repainted again by my friend and we noticed that on my left thumb, the lady didn't even glue the whole fake nail onto my nail. I can literally put my right thumb's nail IN-BETWEEN my thumb & fake nail because the gap. Yeah... And I paid full price ($30--$20 for full set & $10 for the manicure) My friend and I will never return again and I highly recommend that If you're trying to get a pretty difficult design or full set do not ever come here. read more

I just finished getting my nails done right now and I can say I'm completely disappointed at the work from Kathy! So many of my friends and people always rave and compliment her so much! First off, my appointment was at 11 am and I didn't even start until like 11:30 am. The guy at the salon did my pedicure. Solid color. Standard procedure but their regular pedicure is expensive compared to other places. Not what I liked or was hoping for. He did my nails but I said I wanted them shaped as square oval or squoval and they came out more round if anything. I didn't like that and I didn't want to say anything after so I just let it go. I have the pictures to prove it as well. When I said to do another coat bc it was missing he didn't understand and wiped certain sections off and I didn't like that. He also didn't do the tips of the toes, meaning he put on the nail polish but they usually paint it at the very top of the paint. I finished my toes way before Kathy was finished with her other client already so I waited at least twenty minutes before even getting started with Kathy! I showed her my design and she said 45 and while we were doing the gel set designs there was originally supposed to be a bow on the certain finger for the design. She told me that she had to hand draw it and make it 3D and it would cost more, but she didn't express that to me originally in the beginning, thus I decided not to go with the bow bc she was already doing a poor job on my nails. I picked some of the nude pink colors and she didn't even let me try them on my nail! All she said was what do you mean, it looks the same, but I've had this happen to other nail salons and the colors don't look the same on my skin tone. While getting started she did the standard procedure of washing, cleaning, and cutting the cuticles! She did the colors fine, but she wouldn't paint all over the nail and missed the sides, even though I clearly told her to paint all sides and corners of my nail she didn't do it and she gave me slight attitude like,"I know." Once she started with the actual designs of the stones/diamonds she didn't align them at all, and I told her nicely if she could fix it and she said I'm not done I'm not done, but she was clearly not going to listen!! She did not listen, and would make excuses and tell me to hurry and decide about the bow and design bc she had another client coming. If she had another client, then she should have not kept me waiting for her to finish her other client and not book back to back as well. She also stopped less than half way and went to get food and coffee bc she said that she was very tired but I think that was very unprofessional. Not only have I been waiting, but she makes me wait more and consistently picks up the phone to answer and stop while doing my nails. After putting on the stones, she didn't align them at all and when I said they weren't aligned she just said I can't move them and rushed along the whole process, bc she saw her client come in and start waiting. Once she finished I was already pretty upset, and disappointed in the work that was done bc everything was crooked and she cheated me of the hand massage as well. She literally put on the lotion and just ended up saying okay that's fine! For a place with great reviews and hearing from my friends about how well Kathy does her work, she did not exceed any of my expectations at all. She was very impatient, pretty condescending and I'm usually not even that picky but the quality of work she did very much disappointed me and what I expect from nail salon artists if I'm paying so much to get the service done! The amenities are nice and clean. The quality of their nail products is good too. Nice massage chairs. Only complaint is they keep talking non-stop in Vietnamese (-1 star). Last time I got gel nails they didn't last very long. When i did it here, my nails lasted for 2 weeks. Even then, the front of my nails are fine. I think the lady that did my gel nails is Tina. I went in for a gel mani pedi. Just walked in without an appointment, so that was nice. I'm a fan of OPI products and I had a specific color in mind but their collection is very limited (like 6 colors). On top of that, the colors I chose were all out, so I ended up choosing some other brand...which was okay I guess. I wasn't really happy with the removal process of the gel, they just kind of hack and file away at the surface of my nails and it seems a lot more uneven than using a machine. I was very uneasy about the health of my nails by the end of it. The finished product looked great when I left. However I got a crack on a coat of gel (on my thumb) the next day, and some of the edges got slightly peeled/chipped (not noticeable to anyone except myself though) because I think they really got damaged during removal. I am very disappointed, and looking forward to removing the entire mani altogether. My gel pedi turned out great though and is still going strong. They take card but bring cash for tip. They charge for gel removal but only if you got it done somewhere else. The place was kind of on the pricey end, esp since I'm not completely satisfied with my mani. As subpar as my review is, the girl who did my nails was really sweet and I liked her a lot! I wanna go back just because I like her so much, but I'm so dissatisfied with my nails that I probably won't. read more

Kathy's is my go to salon for all my mani/pedi/waxing needs. I was introduced years ago by a close friend and compare all other salons to this place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Though at times they are very busy, the service is worth the wait. Kathy's nail designs are incredible - any design I pick she mimics to the best of her perfection. She has also sculpted my brows - brows i never had before coming here. Also, Tina and Julie's pedis are consistently beautifully done and relaxing. Make an appointment before coming in! I love this place! They have great prices (esp for the spa mani-pedi combo) and all the ladies on staff are patient and really know how to take care of you. I've never had a complaint from the service there, either while I was there and even when I got home. They offer a lot of different services, but I've only had mani/pedis and waxes done. My favorite things about this place are: 1 - Friendly staff who actually talks to you. :) 2 - It doesn't have that overwhelming nostril-stinging nail polish smell. 3 - They sanitize EVERYTHING after each use and open your clean set of tools *in front of you.* (..I don't know what other places do. GROSS!!!!!!!) 4 - Location is great, it's easy to find and there's always parking. I highly recommend this place. My first experience at this location, looking for a new closer quality place to me to go, I looked up reviews and found this shop. Went to this shop at 10am, and was asked to come back later, with an appointment at 2pm, as they had AM appointments. Upon returning at 150pm, after about 8 minutes we were advised that they were running 45minutes late. Since I needed a new set, I opted to start to soak off the old. 1hr and 20minutes later they finally took my friend to start her nails. 3hrs and 15 minutes later we finally made it out! (Yes close to 6 hours total) Good thing I didn't have any pressing things to do. My friend really liked the service although long (she was about to leave at one point). She had Kathy that did her nails and an older lady did her feet. I had Pheona (sp) for both nails and feet. They both took their time and were meticulous about the work and made sure we were getting what we wanted. My nails were a bit thin after review at home, because I like long nails they shouldn't be too flexible to last and not break, her polish job was eh ok. I changed mind on the design because of how long I worried it would take them to do that. My thing here with this shop is the time delay, which they apologized for several times although they allowed 2 other people without appointments in between us (really??) and kept squeezing people in later after us. I just don't know who would want to be there that long for service. They didn't offer any discount after all that.. AT ALL.. $50 each out the door. As nice as they were over all, they do a lot of design work, which I'm sure is why they are popular. I cant give them an out of the park review. I'm huge on time and being on time, and don't have the luxury of sitting in a shop all day for something that everyone else can do in a third of the time. Would I go back??. This place is really nice. I saw it on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The first time I went there only for mani-pedi~ so I can see if this place is good before getting any design with them. There is one person who worked on my hands and the other person is Fiona who worked on my feet. I really liked Fiona, she's friendly while she was pretty detailed with her jobs too. After the first experience, I decided to go there the second time and get a design for my wedding. I did not ask for Fiona since I didn't know her name before. It was really lucky that Kathy was the person who work for my manicure this time. I got gel this time and I told her that this is the first time in my life getting gel. I showed her a design that I found online and she said she can do it. She was really detailed on the works too. We had some difficulties on the design since originally she needs to put up thin silver stripe sticker on my nails, but my nails are too curvy so the stickers kept coming off. I was gonna give up and ask her to just leave it like that without stickers on it, but she was really nice and insist that it won't look good and she will get it fixed. She found a glittered polish to substitute the stickers and it works out pretty well. It took us quite a while to have it done becuz of the incident, so she charged me cheaper too. She was really happy to hear that it was for my wedding and ask me to bring some pics over next time =) Get it from Kathy or Fiona (I saw a girl got gel design with Tina and it looks good too), and you won't regret! ps. I only gave 4 stars since the first lady who worked on my manicure was not that friendly and detailed, even though all the works still came out nice. Writing this review as I am waiting I needed to get a full set done for the weekend, but I was too lazy to go to my regular salon because it's kind of far. So, I checked this place out cause it's closer to me. I went in as a walk-in with only one other customer there and a lady said it would be a 30 minute wait. Ok, I guess that's fine seeing as there's only two ladies and they're both working on one client who I'm guessing is getting a mani pedi. --- update: someone else came in so I only had to wait like 7 minutes --- So I'm finishing this up after I got my nails done: The guy who did my acrylics was nice but when he was filing down my nails, he was pretty rough. Also, when he was clipping down the fake nail, he asked me how long I wanted it to be and I said a little longer and then he clipped it without letting me finish. So my nails are a lot shorter than I wanted. The size of the nail also seems a bit wider than I'm used to. Idk it might just be me. Other than that, it was an alright experience. The workers are quite welcoming and I only paid 20 without tip for my full set. Im not completely in love with my nails so I might come back only if I'm desperate. For now I might just stick to my regular nail salon. read more
