About five minutes later, I was escorted to the lot to pick up my vehicle. No joke, I was out of there in under 10 minutes total. Google Maps directions were straightforward and easy to follow, there's really no way to get lost. My car was spotless and clearly well taken care of during transport. They even provided a free car wash coupon and give you 30 days to register your vehicle. Overall, an extremely smooth and efficient experience. Highly recommend.

I will say, I was able to reach someone every time I called for an update or had a question, and the woman I spoke with was extremely nice and had great customer service. I don't know if this is a problem with the delivery company or with Hawaii Car Transport but we were told someone would call to schedule the drop off. I got a call in the morning when the driver was outside of my house! Luckily, I took a sick day and was able to get it. But if I was at the office, I don't know what would've happened. Overall, my family and I wanted to support a local business and we understand that it is a long process shipping a car from Hawaii to the Mainland so expect delays! We paid the amount we were quoted for, no hidden fees/overcharging, car came in great condition, a little dusty, but that's to be expected.

I did not hear anything by mid-day, so I called and was told someone would get back to me; I later received an email stating it would still be delivered that day. The exact same pattern repeated on Wednesday 07/08, Thursday 07/09, and Friday 07/10. On Friday I finally received a call from the carrier, who said he could not enter my subdivision and asked me to meet him on a main road over 25 minutes away on foot. This is not a gated community, and this same vehicle has been picked up from my address before when I shipped it to Hawaii, so access should not have been an issue. I tried to work with the carrier and offered to meet him at my workplace at Nellis Air Force Base. We scheduled a time, but he later reported that his truck had broken down and was no longer drivable. I ultimately had to travel to where the truck broke down--about 26 minutes from my home--to pick up my car myself, despite having paid for Port-to-Door service. Not only was delivery delayed over multiple days, but I also did not receive the level of service I paid for. When I called Hawaii Car Transport on Monday 07/13 to discuss this, the representative I spoke with was dismissive and unprofessional. She repeatedly interrupted, seemed impatient, and ultimately hung up on me when I asked for her name. When I called back, I reached the same representative, who again ended the call immediately after providing her name, without any resolution or offer to escalate my concerns. Her name was Carley. All I have asked for is to speak with a manager or someone who can address the service failure and billing discrepancy. Based on this experience, I am unlikely to use this company again or recommend them in the future, despite having done so many times in the past.

11/24 update We decided to go with JNR after all after…read moreEugene explained the mix up. He was very accommodating & easy to work with. Made a huge difference in our decision making. The local CA company they used (I believe it was Pioneer) was amazing. They missed 2 tiny drawers but I was able to pack it in my suitcase. I'd highly recommend the CA moving company. Once our household items arrived in HI (it took just under 6 weeks from the time they finished in CA & it was moved into storage in HI) we were contacted to see if we wanted to watch our items being stored. We agreed. Chris was there to meet us (very nice & helpful. Walked us through it) & it seemed to go smoothly. He left half way & the unloaders slowed down. 1 quick phone call & it was back on track. We are pleased with the storage facilities. Secure & temperature controlled. The only hiccup worth mentioning is the 1 of the unloaders was on his phone 98% of the time. Even while pushing the carts he had his phone up to his face. He was young lol. We did have to mention that some of the boxes that said "this side up" meant they needed to store it a certain way. Overall I'd recommend working with Eugene & Chris.

We booked a FASTPASS appointment so our documents were green-lit well ahead of time. Appointment was booked for 10/27/25 at 12:45pm. It was a little hard to get them on the phone but they answered my emails super fast whenever I asked questions. We arrived at 12:30pm to be a few minutes early, and we were done by 1:30pm. Service was as fast as it could be, and all of the staff was incredibly friendly! The process was smooth. When we arrived we checked in, and waited 5 minutes for them to call us back up. When they called us back up they confirmed all the FASTPASS documents were good to go, and had us sign some additional disclosures. Since the inspection crews go to lunch daily (mandated by their union) we had to wait until they returned for the inspection process. No biggie. I was able to drive into the inspection area at exactly 1pm. We didn't professionally detail the vehicle but thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed at home. Passed the inspection in about 20 minutes and we were on our way. People tend to leave bad reviews but often forget to leave the good ones. Don't be scared, prepare well in advance, and you will be smooth sailing.
