I found Better Car Inspections handles mobile car inspections in Sacramento. I called and Amy picked up right away. She was very pleasant and helpful, and answered my questions about the process. She said they needed about an hour-or-so's notice, but otherwise could book an inspection right away. Very convenient! The pricing was very reasonable, and I opted for paying a little extra for the "Vehicle Value Estimate," which I'm glad I did as it gave me a helpful reference for the dealer's asking price based on the condition of the specific vehicle. Beau was the technician, and he was absolutely awesome! He texted me photos and offered to ask any questions I had. He did a thorough inspection, and really knew what he was doing. The whole process was very efficient and painless, and helped give me a lot of confidence to move forward with the purchase. I'd highly recommend Better Car Inspections!

You read reviews, and you never really know whether you're making a good or bad decision by going to a place that has some negative reviews. I'm here to tell you that I had a VERY good experience today at this Jiffy Lube. As I sat waiting for my car to drive into the bay, different employees came over at various times to let me know what the wait time was looking like. The shop manager also came over and told me that the wait time was about 14 to 15 minutes per car. Since there were three cars in front of us, I figured it would be around 40 to 45 minutes, just as the shop manager had estimated. Brynna (I think that's how it's spelled) came over when it was our turn and guided us into the bay. Once we got in, we communicated about what needed to be replaced and what they were offering as recommended items that should be monitored for our vehicle. Let me tell you, from beginning to end, my experience at this place was absolutely wonderful. After letting Brynna know about my Battery that needs to be replaced by Interstate Batteries since its under warranty she offered to have me come to the shop and have it looked at and so this way they could get a reading for me that I could take to Interstate. I Thanked her for her offering but advised that the wife works really early and that it would be difficult for us to come that early in the morning. I had my oil changed, my oil filter changed, my Antifreeze was topped up and my Windshield Washer fluid was topped up as well. I was able to find a $33 coupon online and so the value for the oil change was very worth it. So thankful that I have a great place I can rely on the next time I need my Oil Changed. Thanks Jiffy Lube for being there for someone who was WAY past due on his Oil Change.

My vehicle had been…read morehaving intermittent starting issues for about 4 months, and last week, my car up & died while I was driving, thankfully after 20 or so minutes it started & I was able to drive home. I took it to a mechanic (No Name) here in CH and they billed me $210.00 and couldn't locate the issue, so I brought it home. Well, this past Saturday my car wouldn't start, so I was told by a very good friend that I take it to TN3 Automotive, which I did (Had my car towed) on Tuesday. I'd previously contacted the owner, Tom, informing him my car was being towed to his shop, and so he took basic information regarding what types of issues I'd been experiencing, which I provided. I met Tom the following day, and he was genial, kind, listened intently, and just a solid individual through & through. He exudes honesty & integrity, and assured me he'd locate the issue, and he did just that. The thoroughness of his Teams assessment of my vehicle, every part captured by clear photos that included a specific narrative of my car parts issue, and whether it was deemed an emergency fix, or just watch & keep an eye on it was noted, & reassuring. Not once did he advise that I needed this or that done to my vehicle, but clearly enunciated in line of priority things I should take care of. Ended up being a PGMFI Main Start Relay why my car wouldn't start. Out the door for $340.00. Car is running excellent!! I have very high expectations of service providers, and he exemplifies the highest of integrity & standards!! Tom is your guy, I challenge you to use he & his team's expertise, you will not be disappointed.

Richard (the owner and mechanic) was super responsive to my calls and texts, even on the weekend. He went and picked up all the parts from the dealer and then came straight to my house to do the work. I had my thermostat, thermostat housing, and water pump replaced all in one go. With kids and work, taking my car into a shop is always a pain, so having him come to me was a huge plus. His prices were about the same or cheaper than other quotes I got, which was awesome because it's basically like DoorDash for a mechanic--except he doesn't upcharge just for bringing the service to you. You can tell he really cares about doing quality work too--he even spent extra time cleaning up all the old oil and grease. No waiting rooms, no rides back and forth, just easy and stress-free. Overall, the service was professional, convenient, and affordable. You can tell Richard really enjoys what he does and takes pride in his work. Would definitely recommend!

They did good work getting me stopping again, and their assessment of the other deferred repairs the truck needs was thorough and informative. But two major issues bring this down. The Communication Problem Chris from the service desk kept saying he'd call or email me with updates -- and then... nothing. Left me hanging more than once. I shouldn't have to chase down answers about my own vehicle. That's basic customer service. The Pricing This is where I have real concerns. I had my regular mechanic look at the same itemized report. AAA Citrus Heights Auto Repair Center charged 66% more than my trusted guy for the same work. Here's the thing -- my truck wasn't drivable. The brakes failing made it unsafe. When a customer is in that position, they don't have much leverage to shop around. That puts us in a vulnerable spot, and the pricing feels predatory as a result. The One Bright Spot They did honor my Veterans discount -- 10% off a roughly $1,500 bill. I appreciate that, and the staff who applied it were professional. Bottom Line The actual repair work was good. The assessment was thorough. But the communication failures and what feels like opportunistic pricing mean I won't be going back -- and I can't in good conscience recommend them without caveats.
