They're going to be her mechanics from now on, and mine too when our car warranty from Carmax is over. I took my Diesel Ram 3500 truck in to get a leak fixed in my cooling system and they replaced the water pump so fast I hadn't even had time to make plans to get a ride to to pick it up that early but that was great! read more

The staff at this shop are extremely rude and aggressive. I was delivering parts to them through the DoorDash app. Every time I brought them the parts, an employee demanded that I bring them directly to his workspace, even though I always deliver to the office in every other shop, as instructed by the app. The app clearly states to deliver to the office and not to individual workstations for safety reasons. This employee would accept the order with an annoyed expression and grab my phone with his greasy, dirty hands to sign for the delivery, acting like I was just an inconvenience rather than someone simply doing their job according to the instructions. He never apologized for getting my phone dirty--he just didn't care. But the most outrageous thing was when I told him that, according to the instructions, I'm only supposed to deliver to the office, and he blocked me on the app. This blocked me from making deliveries to other shops as well, preventing me from doing my job. I'm certain I'm not the only one he's blocked. After reading reviews about this shop, I realized that he treats everyone the same way--whether it's a customer or a delivery worker. I would strongly advise anyone against doing business with this shop. read more

Did not believe me when I told them what was wrong with my car because I already got an estimate, so they wanted to diagnose it themselves. Then, when they found exactly what I already knew, they said they would waive the diagnostic fee if I paid for the service, which was triple rate of the first guy. I cut my losses, paid the diagnostic fee to be told what I already knew, and left. They made a quick buck, but it cost them some of their Yelp review score. read more

I walked in with a good Attitude asking for an honest mechanic I need my brakes done. He immediately had a down attitude little me and talk to Me. He proceeded to give me prices I didn't even tell him what I wanted done yet. He is a Mexican man probably in his late 40s early 50s I don't know if he owns the place or barely any vehicles there any left me feeling like shit luckily there's five other shops in the area and I just took my business there. Edit: The owner reached back out to try and make things right so points for him, but this whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I dont want to risk a repeat of this problem again. I called and talked to Guillermo to set an appointmet for service and when I went in to get help with the AC there was no record of my appointment. There would be a delay with service, but with covid I have learned to be more understanding. I needed work on my suv because the AC wasnt running very cool. They said I had a leak and they needed to replace some parts to make it run again and that it was fixed. After. Few days the AC was blowing hot. I called and they had me brong it back in. Now they say the compressor is the issues and it would be FAR more expensive to repair and they they need to order out for the repair. Why did they not find thay issue the first time? I ended up going somewhere else and they did a refill and checked my system and now the AC is almost too cold...... What did joe's even do for me? read more

I thought I found a new mechanic but I was WRONG! My car radiator needed to be fixed and my original mechanic has decided to close his business, I had already purchased the parts so all I needed was labor, I called around and I found Joe (who's also the owner of the shop) he quoted me a decent amount  which fit my price range, I agreed to the rate, towed my car to his shop right before his closing time he seemed a little exasperated because he was very short with his answers, that's ok I understand how a hard day can be. The next day he called me and said that the car needed hoses for the radiator he quoted a high price and I knew they were way cheaper than what he quoted, and I knew where to get them. He became slightly unhinged when he realized that I'm a WOMAN who knows a little bit about cars, parts,and prices. Joe wanted to charge 4x the amount and when I told him I was able to get them at a lower price, that witty unwarranted silver tongue  of his some people may like it but I'm not a fan, came out. He was being sarcastic which is a form of being offensive to people and calling it a joke! I didn't appreciate it especially when it comes to business. Had my car not needed towing I would've absolutely went somewhere else. I'm going to make this long story shot as he is. Since Joe is selective on his customers from now own I will gladly take my business elsewhere, there are plenty of great mechanic around! read more

A couple of years ago, I cracked my oil pan on my Volkswagen Jetta. I had my car towed to Joe's shop on a recommendation from a neighbor. This is the only place I'll take my car now. They have an excellent reputation, do excellent work on all kinds of cars, very professional, and very fair and honest. They won't nickel-and-dime you here. They'll tell you exactly what's wrong, what the price is going to be, and that's the price it is. You can count on them to fix it right the first time. I have gone to other mechanics in the past where I felt like I was being taken advantage of because I'm a woman. I've never gotten that feeling at Joe's. They treat me with respect, honesty and fairness. That's very important to me. read more

This place is a joke. Have a couple known problems with my car including nail in tire, in need of an oil change, leaking coolant due to the heater core hose needing replacement. I wouldn't go to any other auto shop! Someone recommended me to Joe's Shop about five years ago and this company has never let me down. If you want honest and skilled mechanics, I would highly recommend this place. Their prices are very fair, and we have saved thousands of dollars by not going back to the Subaru dealership. I had my car towed to Joe's thinking I needed a new water pump, which on my car included the timing belt. He quoted me 390, which is much lower than anyone else. Once the car was delivered it turned out to be a leaky hose. He didnt have to tell me this, but he did. Next, my car has leaked a LOT of oil and smelled terrible. He said your car leaks a lot of oil, it is some switch did you want us to fix that. 200 for both water leak and oil leak. I said my AC hasnt worked in a year and I'm dying in my car, would you check that. Picked my car up this morning, no leaks, ice cold AC and only 290, 100 under his estimate. They did a nice job taking care of our needs for this repair. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fair and honest shop! Horrible service! My husband purchased a discount card form them good for 4 oil changes. On the card it stated that you could exchange 2 of the oil changes for synthetic oil. After getting the run aound to actually make an appt to get my oil change I show up for my appt and state that I would like to have synthetic oil used. I was told "oh, they were supposed to have crossed that out" and was shown a card with that statement crossed out in black pen. I informed them that it wasnt crossed out on my card and felt they should honor it. Did not happen. Not only were they rude about it I was not given given any option except regular oil. To top it off when I got the card retured to me they had crosses out the statement regarding the synthetic oil. Have reported them to the BBB. Will not be going back for another oil change and will let everyone I know what a horrible experience I had there! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR INTO THIS PLACE PLEASE!!! I decided to come into Joe's shop to replace 6 spark plugs and they charged $300.00 to put them in. A couple days later my car started misfiring Extremely bad !! So I took it back in and the owner said you have 3 codes that are coming up as misfires cylinders 1,3,5 and I will need to do a full diagnostic to see what is causing that and it will be $105.00 for that. So I am thinking to myself Okay I just paid you to put in BRAND NEW SPARK PLUGS , so why would my car be misfiring? So I decided to go back to the ONLY shop that has ever touched my car Which Is Danny's Automotive, So I have Danny run a diagnostic on my car because I did not trust going back to Joes . So come to find out 3 sparks plugs were bad and when Joe's shop pulled out my sparks plugs they BROKE MY 2 COILS!!! OH gets it better , not only did they brake it but they tried to GLUE the coils back, so of course that is going to cause HUGE misfiring ! So I had Danny fix my car and now it runs AMAZING !!! I appreciate honest people and work and if Joe's shop would have been honest about braking my coils then I could have respected them but the fact that I have two children and due to their careless work they could have really ruined my car and my car could have broken down . I would never recommend this place to anyone. Go to Danny's Automotive in Rancho Cordova he is a REAL SHOP with experienced mechanics and are honest. I have taken my car here for about year now and they are great. Most auto shop being a woman who doesn't know much about cars can be tricky. You want an honest reliable shop and they seem to be just that. I have gotten my timing belt, serpentine belts, water pump and a full tune up from this shop without any problems. They even have a great deal on there website filled with coupons of anything your car may need to maintain. I liked them so much that i now go back for routine oil changes instead of loehmans carwash and oil change place. They seem to always want to do more to my car at Loemans and its frustrating! If you have car trouble, my hubby and I highly suggest that you go to this shop. We aren't exactly close anymore in driving distance; But, we will never take our cars elsewhere. The owner is reliable, honest and has done great work which included some difficult jobs such as a transmission replacement. When we leave with our cars, they run good as new, again and it's nice to know that we're not getting scammed. Most car shops will tell you several things that you 'need' to fix on your car right away...Joe's Shop isn't like that. Seven years we have been taking our cars to this shop and my first time leaving their shop reviews...feel kind of bad for slacking but I'm doing it now! I am shocked to read any reviews for this shop other than 5 stars because of how long we have been going to them. Those customers must have been having a bad day. I was introduced to Joe's shop by a friend. I went into the shop after a check engine light came on. After having my car for a day I received a call that they wanted to keep my car over night to properly diagnose the problem. I had gotten the check engine light codes from the shop that told me to go to joe's. The codes came back something real simple but for some reason joe's shop couldn't get the computer to read the code. So when i spoke with them again they told me i needed a new transmission or rebuilt tranny. That was going to cost 2,500 dollars. I Made some phone calls and found the money to do the work. i then told the shop to go ahead with the repairs. That night a friend asked me what yr my vehicle was and how many miles were on it and he said that it might still be under warranty. The next day i made some phone calls and found out the transmission was still under warranty. I called joe's up and asked them how much work they had done.I was told that thry were about 90 percent done. i even explained the situation to him and he said he felt bad so he'd see if he could knock off a few bucks. Well i decided to drive over there and see for myself what they had done. I was greeted outside and was told again they were almost done with my truck. I then went into the shop and saw my truck on the rack so i decided to go over and take a look ..Well i'm no mechanic but i know where the tranny goes and if the tranny was out wires would of been hanging down and i knew they hadn't done anything on my truck. I then was lied to about where the tranny was on the truck and i then pointed straight to where it was .At that point he lied to me again and told me that was another transmission they had to put in to move the truck over to the rack.Well my truck was running perfectly fine when i drove it in there. I told him to get my truck down and i'd be in later to pick it up. Yes i was lied to repeatedly by Guillermo.. And he had to keep lying to cover up the last lie. I then took my truck to performance Chevrolet and My truck DOES NOT NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION....I would not recommend Joe's shop to anyone ever.. read more

Being a single woman, its always scary to take your car to someone who don't know at all. But twice I've taken my car to this shop recently, only to have them go out of their way to be honest and take care of me. Once my car was pulling hard to the left, I drove to Joe's Shop and the man who worked the desk checked out my car and told me it was my tires. I was not charged anything and he was right. New tires fixed the problem. A few weeks later when my engine gave out and I had my car towed to the shop on a Sunday, when I called on Mon I was told they would look at it and let me know. On Tues I got the bad news that due to an oil leak, my car's engine ran without any oil and therefore would need to be replaced. I was given an estimate and decided to buy a new car instead. Again the shop took care of me honestly, I was not charged as they were not able to fix it and I got my car off their lot. I would recommend this shop to anyone who is in need of auto repair. They seem to be one of the only honest mechanic shops left and as a consumer, I really appreciate that. read more

Guillermo was quick to reply using Yelp, only a couple of shops replied before him. I spoke to the other two shops and both wanted to see my truck first before even giving a ROUGH quote. Guillermo gave me a rough quote through Yelp and was nice to talk to on the phone. I decided on Joe's Shop and quickly drove my Toyota 4x4 Pickup to his shop for a refined quote. He spent a bit of time talking to me about the truck and the AC compressor. He taught me how to quickly spin the compressor and hear the sounds and feel for resistance. He was right, the compressor was bad and the condenser was damaged. He was willing to only replace the necessary items for a great price but I opted for an entirely brand new AC system with all new components. He quoted 1400 (which was less than the other two shops) and when I went to pay it was only 1320. I added up all the parts I would have had to buy on ebay and amazon and it totaled 800 dollars.
