*****Great Service***** Located just off of the 55, this shop has it all. I brought my car here for general service and for smog. They had open communication and communicated with me frequently. They finished the repairs and smog in the same day. They also had a bonus service.. shuttle service. I didn't have a ride home. When I dropped off my car, I was about to call Uber. The gentleman said no need we have a shuttle. Within minutes I was back home relaxing without a worry in sight as they worked on the car. The car was ready the same day and the small results were submitted electronically to the state. This shop has really good communication and customer service. Zero stars if I could. I had a coupon that required I make an appointment. No problem, I called and spoke to Savannah who was nice and stated if I came in within the hour, it would take about 2 hours. 2 hours for an oil change is a bit long but I had some time on my hands. Again, no problem, I drove in and was there just before 11:00am. Checked in was simple and super nice Savannah took the keys. She again said 2 hours. Took two cars down there so some errands could be ran, so I left. I called at 1:15 (2h 15m later) and spoke to Matt who said he didn't know if the car was done but did see a technician with my keys in his hand, so he assumed it was being worked on. He then said Savannah would know more and when she returned from lunch she would call me with an update. I decided to drive back because by the time I got there it would be close to 3 hours and my kids needed to be picked up. No phone call update either. I arrived at 1:50 and noticed the car hadn't been moved from where I parked it earlier. I talked to Savannah who was apologetic, but simply only said they were rotating through lunches and she didn't know I needed the car. Really? It's an oil change and damn near 3 hours later without being touched. Also, lunch breaks are not my issue to deal with. And I didn't need my car?, everyone needs their car and if you go beyond the estimated time, update the customer!!!! Oh no, that's not acceptable. Of course I had to leave and took the car back without my oil change. Could it be that I got crap service and put on the back burner because I was using a coupon? I sure hope not for your business, but I will never know. If anything comes from this review it'll be that I will NEVER go there again and obviously have lost my business. Secondly I hope that anyone who reads this knows that this place does not respect your time. Time is the only thing in life you cannot get back or create more of. You wasted my time today. I, myself being quite mechanically knowledgeable, am always very suspicious of recommended repairs and inflated costs of most shops. This place, however, was a breath of fresh air from the typical rip-off repair shops we've all had experience with. My Mom needed a full service and check up on her 2004 Toyota Camry and we so we decided to try this place out. From the first phone call to the friendliness and manners in the store, this place really understands the importance of good customer service. In a world where there is no shortage of places to take your car, it's the customer service that brings people back rather than left feeling like they got taken advantage of. Second was the service: the recommended repairs was sent via text message (super convenient) a few hours after the car was dropped off. What we loved was that they included pictures of what it was that needed to be repaired...showing any oil leakage or wear on tires justifying the recommendation to repair or replace the part. We gad plenty of work done and we're relieved to see that they price was reasonable and the parts prices weren't inflated. They even threw in a brand new set of wiper blades for free. I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone needing work done on their car. They are honest, friendly and the work done was done well. I just needed my oil changed, and I have a 2009 Mercedes. I was pleasantly surprised by the way they answered my questions over the phone, and once they took my car, they went over and beyond my expectations. Mostly however, I didn't have to pay the outrageous fees that most automotive shops charge. They asked ME, if I had a triple A card, plus I brought in their expired flyer I found in the mail which they honored. I will be going there from now on- these guys are great!!!!!! read more

I took my old 1995 Nissan Sentra to them to get smog checked. They said that it had a knocking noise and that the engine needed to be replaced and would cost x thousands of dollars. I have no plans to put any large sums of money in this car. So I left and was bummed at the prospect of having to buy a new car right now. Fortunately, my mechanic suggested a different facility for star testing. I took it there and it passed. Not sure what rating to give because they did not do anything to my car. However, they refused to smog it and based on it passing at the other facility, they were incorrect. I arrived at my appointment time and ended up wasting about an hour of my morning waiting for them to tell me they did not want to smog it. ExperTec to my rescue again!!! Thank you Josh and Gary again for taking good care of my girl again. My '94 explorer was dumping fluid and I had visions of a new radiator, water pump, etc. Turns out I blew a hose. Simple fix, right??? Nope! Because my girl is old ( like me) that particular hose was not normally carried and would have to be ordered. Car wouldn't be ready for two days. But Gary and Josh pushed on and finally found the hose needed, called that the hose was being installed as we spoke and she would be ready in 20 minutes!! An even bigger surprise, my bill was less than I expected!!! I use ExperTec for all my repairs on my Ford and I feel like these guys are family. The guest area is always clean, Michael, their driver for customer rides home and pick up is really a great guy. They are also AAA sanctioned. Over the years I've brought my car in for smog checks and one minor service for which they didn't charge me, but I had never used them for annual service or any specific problem. Nevertheless, in watching them work with others, the shop staff's helpful nature and desire to treat the customer right were impressive. I finally had a chance this year to have ExperTec work on my car. They took the appropriate time to diagnose and fix some problems and did so for a fair price. When I ran into a new problem a little bit down the road, Gary and his staff in Costa Mesa jumped right in to help and were gentle with the bill. Went in for a simple alignment on a newer crossover. Was told a couple hours, took nearly all day - not a big deal since I dropped off the car but would have been inconvenient had I needed it or been waiting. The reason for the 1 star is they didn't complete the alignment, but said they did. Had to take it directly to another shop and have it aligned. They never owned up to it, but did end up giving a refund for what I paid. Fine, but a huge waste of time. To top it off the tech scratched the heck out of the driver's door sill getting in and out. Not sure how they have such great reviews, maybe they just give refunds when something bad happens. Go somewhere else. read more
