I'd give zero stars if possible. AVOID this place. RIP OFF. They will upcharge and upsell shamelessly. They will also mess with things to make you have extra things to "fix". Absolute con artists. Beware! Will try to make a few THOUSANDS extra to fix a $400 problem. Asked them to find out why my car was running rough (repeatedly). They never could figure it out. This place is like magic- it turns your car into a moneypit. Took my 2010 Honda Accord here a few months ago for an oil change. Got it back the same day and immediately I'm leaking oil everywhere. Totally F'd up my driveway. Called them back, told them what happened and they got me in 3 DAYS later to have it fixed where they tell me they can't find anything wrong. I continue to have problems on my own, take it back for a 3rd damn time for them to tell me it's an engine coolant leak they accidentally created while changing the oil. They brought me underneath the car and everything, pointing to this and that. Cool. Okay- just fix it. Said they refilled my engine coolant and sealed the leak. Now, August 8th 2022 after having my oil changed elsewhere at an official Honda dealer I'm leaking oil again all over my new driveway. I don't believe that it was an engine coolant leak in the first place, I think they fudged the oil up and tried to convince me they didn't. Because why would I be leaking engine coolant again if they "fixed" it before on my THIRD visit? Thanks for costing me MORE time and money, Expertec. If you value your car and the money that you earn, don't take your car here. Please find alternative service. read more

I had to deal with a smog certificate to renew my registration, and it was painless. The staff was great. The waiting area was very clean, and it took less than a half hour for the whole thing to be done. They inspected everything and my car runs great! The lobby is so clean and they offer coffee and water and have a very nice area to wait. BE AWARE! Make sure you mark your tires before service!!! I went in for a regular oil change and tire rotation, they put a different oil than the recommended one on the cap, and tire rotation was not done even though it said it was done on their system and invoice. I filed a complaint to BAR and got a full refund, but imagine all the basic tire rotation is not done and you don't notice, no wonder I see so many burst tires on the freeway... I'm just saying this place is just the tip of the iceberg. They also recommended to replace drive belt and tensioner, but no leakage, sound, or crack was found. They offered to redo oil change and tire rotation, better go somewhere else. read more

Went here for a smog check for my vehicle registration. (NOTE the guy who does smog checks is out on Wednesdays - so make sure you call first or you'll have to go back like I did!). The staff are very friendly and efficient - from the first phone call, to scheduling, to getting everything done so quick! The waiting room is comfortable and clean. I was able to call in and get scheduled for my car's inspections the same week, and when I went in, they took really great care of me! My inspection report was detailed, and explained everything my car needed done and why, including pictures of the current situation (this was amazing to me when compared with my dealership's inspection, which just listed off recommended services without any proof or explanation-- and it turns out most of what they recommended wasn't necessary when compared with what expertec recommended.) My car had been off-balance for a while, and there was a shaking of unknown origin. I noticed that nothing in my inspection (I had an alignment check done too) seemed like the cause of the shaking, so when I mentioned that issue, they took another look at my car and discovered that the seal on one of my tires was breaking apart, likely the result of being put on improperly when I had my dealership replace my four tires 2 years ago. They didn't charge me for this check, and they got me in for tire replacements the very next day! It only cost me $527 to replace all four of my tires with Toyos, and they did it in about an hour! I'll definitely be going back when I need my front brakes replaced, the team here is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They treated me well and didn't try to take advantage of me, and they did a great job on my car, it drives so smooth now, and I can have the peace of mind that it isn't going to suddenly break down on me, or lose a tire. 10/10 I recommend these guys, they're great!! read more

Gary and the entire team consistently provide personable, efficient service that requires little to no wait time, even when you call the day before. They offer drop-off/pick up if you live/work close by and their drivers have always been extremely courteous, polite and just overall pleasant to ride with. The whole experience a bit messy, some miss-communication between the staff around what was needed and what was completed. Throughout the experience was given comments like 'this won't be the last time you see us' , 'at 100,000 miles your car needs a lot of work done' and 'your turbo will need replacing in 20,000'. I had just bought the car and took it in for an oil leak and check engine .a thermostat was installed and a new water pump advised. I happily would of allowed them to do the extra required work but when they constantly told me how much trouble my new car may be in the future, I lost confidence and took the business elsewhere. Took it to another mechanic around the corner, fixed the pump and told me to 'enjoy the car, it's in great condition'. Very nice team though and a courtesy car was provided which was awesome. read more

Well. Took it back because of Gary. Had issues with smogging and took it in to see if it was because of prior mistake made by them (putting in the wrong oil). Guy at the counter gave me the same false information about it being anything related to oil, because when I changed it back to 10w30 the burn through subsided (and they even added an oil thickener). As I was leaving, Gary, who'd been hiding in the office the whole time, stuck his head out and said 'have a nice day.' read more
