This was my first and last time. I was not impressed with the service. The technicians were rude. The quality of work, well there was no quality. She made my nails extremely thick. I would have been better off with Lee press on nails. There were bubbles in my polish on my hands... So much for the gel. I would never return here, waste my money. Once every two to three months we come here to get our toes done. So far no complaints from us. It's best to call in for an appointment. The staff here are nice and friendly. The salon is clean but parking right out front is a challenge so just park in the larger section and walk in. read more

I've gotten acrylic with gel finish several times over the past year at Expo, and the ladies always do an amazing job. The wait is never too long, and my nails always look perfect for several weeks! I'm not sure if it's the gel finish on top or just acrylic in general, but after my nails dry, the polish doesn't chip at ALL, and the acrylic feels practically indestructible, which is nice for someone like me who tends to always mess up her manicure. Their pedicures are pretty standard, nothing too special, but I have no negative experiences with them either. The TV is usually playing Food Network (at least every time I've visited), and although I'm not one to watch cooking shows on my own, I have to say they're pretty interesting to watch while getting your nails done. Expo's prices are similar to most other salons; some might consider them pricey, but I think it's definitely worth it for the quality. read more

I came here for the first time last week for a mani/pedi and was fairly satisfied. I walked in without an appointment on a Friday morning and there were a few clients, but no wait. The interior is nothing special, but the finished product is really all I care about anyway. I had two technicians working on me, but unfortunately I didn't ask their names. The one who did my pedicure did an excellent job and even sold me on my first ever nail art for an extra $5. My manicure has held up really well, with only a few tiny chips about five days later, but the technician kind of did a hack job on my cuticles. I don't think she let them soften long enough first, so the cutting was somewhat painful, and my ring finger bled a little. I can't say anything about their polish offerings, since I am a bit of a nail polish snob and bring my own, but it looks like they carry some OPI and had a semi-decent range of colors. Either way, this place is super close to my home, so I'm going to give it another shot. I wouldn't drive out of my way for it, but it's good for a quick local spot. read more

Okay, so they only charge $25 for a gel shellac manicure whereas a number of places are charging $30 (uh, at $30, it would be cheaper for me to get a regular manicure weekly!). The gals are pretty conscientious about their work and I actually prefer cutting my cuticles down short (other places are more gentle but mine grow so dang fast...). My pedicures here last a good time and I love their massages! Credit card accepted and you can tip on it. They stay open 'til 7pm most nights save for Sunday and will stay late if need be to squeeze a customer in - no complaints. Oh and they let us ladies watch the NL Championship while we were getting our nails did. Go Giants! read more

Ok so this place is a little hidden next to the Nob Hill that used to be there, but there's plenty of parking around the Taco Bell. My nail tech was Heather and I asked for shellac French manicure with some glitter for fun. I am very picky because I work in a hospital and my nails need to be short but I want my nails to give the illusion that I still have longer nails. The total time took a little over an hour and she was very accommodating to my needs. If I didn't like how a nail looked she would fix it no questions asked. I was at work when I realized I could use a lunch time pedi so I walked on over to Expo that is directly across the street and they had an available chair. Their service was ridiculous. My tech seemed like I was deeply inconveniencing her by coming in and kept tending to things other than my feet. And I believe she tried to remove a hangnail and actually ended up shoving it so far into my nail that it swelled and hurt for days after. Oh yeah and at the end of the pedi she got up walked away and left me there in the chair for about 10 minutes with no explanation. When I started to put my own sandals on she rushed out and said let her do it, uh yeah duh that's what I was waiting for! Never again. Don't go here! I've tried twice now and they just pull and tear at your nails and cuticles. I also found fungus under my nail (this is the only place I've been to with this and told them I wanted to take them off. I called ahead & was told to come in, no wait. I needed a mani & pedi. Typical services. I sat in my pedicure chair, went to restroom for a moment, came back & they gave away my chair! I now sat at the manicure table where they cut & trimmed my nails. I picked my color from the pallet as asked but they didn't do the polish. They moved me to the pedicure chair. They cut & trimmed my toe nails. Again, I was given a color pallet & asked to pick my color. My 1st color choice wasn't on this pallet. I was told they are all the same. Annoyed I just picked something similar. They did not polish my toe nails. I was moved AGAIN to another chair to have my toe nails painted. Guess what? They gave me another color pallet. At this point I'm just done. And can't believe I'm being moved around & around. This time I get the 1st pallet I originally wanted. They paint my toes. Here we go again. I'm moved to my 4th spot in this place with a 4th women. She hands me a color pallet and asked what color I want. I told her ask the 3rd women, she just painted my toes! I know this is just a nail salon. Not the Ritz Carlton or Fairmont hotel but come on! Can't I enjoy something that cost me sixty five bucks! They did a really great job with the shellac manicure and their standard pedicure includes a scrub with a longer and better than average massage. The total for both was $45, which was not bad at all. Usually I come here just to do my eyebrows because it's close to home and they always do it right. They don't complain about how my eyebrows are uneven. They're always super nice and they're very talkative and fun ladies. I recently had a pedicure from them and it was great! They took care of all the blisters and callous on my feet and gave me a calf massage. My feet looked like hell before and now they're smooth and pretty! Worst experience ever I chose this place because it close to home. It was my second time getting pedicure in here. First time was ok, but considering the lower price I was eager to try it again. What ever you do don't go to Kim!!!! She is very angry person and very sloppy in her job. All my toe nails were cut almost to the bone, bleeding with no shape at all, my cuticles were bleeding too and still super inflamed 2 days after. I'm doing pedi for decades and never had such terrible results. Also nail polish was smeared all around my toes and she didn't do any effort to make it more presentable. Coming here for years and it was usually ok. Sometimes it felt a little bit rushed and some of the staff members cuts very deep, even if I said that I do not want that. Today, I am very disappointed. I walked in yesterday and it was busy, so I made an appointment for today and still waited 40 minutes until I was helped. When I paid, I was charged $2 more than usual and the owner told me that this is an extra charge for "ingrown" toenail (which I did not have, I just asked the woman who helped me to check the side of one nail). When I mentioned that, I was told it is an extra fee for increase in supply costs.... so weird. I get that everything went up in price, and I would take a general increase but that felt random and she got really rude towards me. She definitely lost a customer today! read more

I go to this nail salon because it's right near my house. I'm ALWAYS hesistant to come because their customer service isn't all that great and I usually go to Nail Art but just yesterday I went to go get my coffin nails because it was convenient for me. Long story short, my nails are uneven, she didn't even take the time to file them correctly, let alone do the coffin shape right so I was left with uneven squared looking nails. Not to mention, I was originally going to get a full color on my nails and ended up leaving with french tip because she didn't know what she was doing. Was charged $40 for pink & white gel and the pink gel isn't even pink, and on some nails you can clearly see my nail and too much gel. 100% sure I will never go here again. **And I'm only putting 2 stars for the lady that did my pedicure. Not try and understand what I needed... then during my mani.. no massage, I mean yes, she rubbed my lotion in, but I could have done that!! I went in with an appointment and had to wait 20 mins to start my pedicure and manicure. I was helped by the owner first. She did my pedicure ! My pedicure came out with lots of chunky brush strokes and my nails choppy not evenly filled and way toooo short :( after being walked across the nail salons dirty floor barefoot I started my manicure. A different young lady soaked my nails in cold water and did everything very poorly. I was going to do gel but after seeing the care I was getting and the results of my toenails I said clear nail polish instead. The didn't come out as bad as my toes but def not worth the money spent. I had a crystal gel overlay done here. The woman that helped me took pride in her work and took her time doing both my hands and feet. She was also kind and patient when I scratched my paint. Warning:it is a very small space so be prepared to get cozy and hold your farts while you're there. It is a little pricey. Swung in here with a friend because we escaped the kids for an hour of us time :) They took us right away without an appointment which was fabulous!! They did a pretty good job on my feet, hurt at times, but it was my first pedi of the season :) After she was done they let us sit for almost an hour longer and just chit chat, which was awesome - they got a nice tip for that!! She is about done when I tell her I want them oval remember not square she speaks in her native tongue... Im thinking oh great... My daughter says Im gonna use the restroom I said okay honey go. Tina says.. Ya know its for everybody just your kids. I said I dont see anyone wanting to use the restroom she will be out soon. Okay so she is now done with my nails daughter out of the restroom and I hear yapping away under the lights but im upset. Totally done and she days 30 dollars i said you said 21 on the phone. I made the mistake of coming in to get my nails filled and a pedicure on a Sunday, when Tina the owner is off. I completely forgot that Sunday's are not the best day of the week to come in. When the owner Tina is not here, her staff talks way too much, in their language and it is not relaxing. Not to mention being in the middle of two loud teenage stoners who smell horribly of marijuana and have no respect for others who are trying to relax. I had to let these immature girls know that I was here to relax and didn't feel like being in the middle of their conversation. The best nail shop hands down. I've been to many nail salons but this by far is my favorite. Excellent customer service, although they love to chat with eachother they will hold a conversation with you. All designs are hand drawn, and average about 10 dollars extra for all 10 nails. Pedicures include massages and nice massage chairs for 20 dollars. Every 2 weeks i make my way over here for the best treatment.
