Scroll down for To Long Didn't Read version: I went in with my bf for pedicures (and a full set for me) two days ago. The staff was friendly, which is to be expected. I feel like they are not well trained which was my problem. We were looking at spending upwards of $90 (we were charged 24 for my pedi, 34 for his included a longer massage and 36 for my full set and "manicure"), so we expected some pretty decent service. I sat down in my chair and was a little annoyed right off the bat when they burned our feet with the super hot water, but since they seemed sincerely sorry and apologized, I tried to get into relaxation mode. They then (after knowing I wanted a full set on top of my pedicure) started doing his toes first. The dude is going to be sitting there waiting for me to get done, why would you start on him?? I asked if they could just start on me first to give him more time to soak and relax and was rebuffed pretty quickly. There were plenty of empty seats, it would have been no problem for him to get to chill for the duration of my pedi, but instead I guess they wanted him awkwardly sitting on their couch when he was done and I still hadn't even gotten the plastic tips glued onto my fingers yet. Annoying. The pedicure was normal and to be expected for $24. They even used stone rocks and that was a nice touch. What wasn't a nice touch was having them slather so much lotion on me that they stained my pants (permanently - I'll go on about this later) after I voiced concern and had them rolled up above my knees. This isn't my first pedicure. They destroyed my brand new pair of pants (literally only worn twice) and then told me "it will dry". OIL DOESN'T DRY. I also wasn't able to go to dinner after due to having to go home and pretreat my ruined pants (never got the stain out, dry cleaner says it's not gonna happen). Now the bf is done sitting awkwardly watching Guy Fieri on the boob tube and I'm like, are they going to trim my cuticles, cuz she's just gluing plastic without trimming or anything. I go over to the station after my toes are set and explain I want stiletto tips (this style has been out for like 5 years now, she should know what it is) and she has no idea what I'm talking about. I have the things glued to my hands so I cant look it up on the phone, but settle in when she says "oh pointy tip". Ok yes, pointy. She cuts my nail tip things down, but won't do it as short as I'm asking. i think "hey maybe she's just being cautious because of the stiletto, sure." wait to have her start cuticle trimming. She never does. She starts doing the powder acrylic and it is lumpy and uneven after she shapes my nails to a clear rounded tip (not pointy, not stiletto, nothing). She then proceeds to not put a base coat, look embarrassed when I ask "why is there no base coat??" to which she replies "No base coat need". -_- I have NEVER been to a salon where they don't put on base coats. I get the rest of my gel polish done and it's crooked and awful. I then cry in my car after because I just spent $94 on utter bullshit and I can tell my pants are ruined. I went back yesterday and she refunded me $25 for the pedicure after first telling me my pants were "not good quality" and "cheap" (they were express jeans, and who cares? you still ruined them, way to add insult to injury) and asking me if I had "tried gasoline". I'm dead serious. i'm not one to promote violence but I could have strangled her right then and there. She refused to give any more refund even when i showed her the pictures of my boyfriends toe (that was cut and bleeding), or when I explained that half of the manicure portion wasn't done (no cuticle trim, no soaking, no massage). To Long; Didn't Read: This place sucks. They will ruin your nails, stain your clothes and cut your boyfriends toes if you give them the chance, then when you ask for a refund they will insult you and give you bare minimum if anything. read more

Went to Ivy's for the first time today with my cousin, who recommended it. Thought I would give a quick, updated review since most of the negative reviews seem to be 2+ years old. The place was empty (a Thursday around 4pm), and we were greeted and seated immediately. The place seemed clean and fairly spacious. No strong "nail salon smells" (granted, there was only one other customer in there at the time, but still). I was offered water, wine, or beer during my pedicure ($2 for wine or beer) and there were multiple flatscreen TVs across from the pedicure stations. The woman who helped me did a great job and was very friendly. I would mention her name, but I failed to ask for it (bad habit). My cousin also had a similarly pleasant experience. The pricing was about average, I suppose. I paid $60 for a gel manicure and spa pedicure (includes upcharge for French tip design on both my hands and feet). A bit higher than what I've paid at other salons in the area, but I'm willing to return due to the nicer atmosphere. And the wine. read more

Quick and friendly service. I called for a walk-in gel manicure ($26) just to make sure they'll take me in. Luckily there wasn't any wait and a lady named Tam did my nails for me. She was gentle, sweet and very nice! My nails turned out great, and I'm happy. read more

Please see the review I also posted about Anthony's hair (these two shops are linked together). I've only been here about 4 times or so. Each time I only went because my work schedule let's me off late in the evening and this is the closest place to work. It seems as though only two ladies that work there. The older lady always does my pedicure- nice, chatty and usually does a pretty good job. The younger lady with highlights always does my manicure and always seems to rush and is almost mad at someone/something. During my third visit the younger chick didn't even clean my cuticles! I had to ask her before she started polishing! My last visit was 2 weeks ago, an hour and a half before they closed. The older lady told me they were very busy and to come back another day. Done with this place. I found a new place, involves me jumping on the freeway but worth it. Jasmine Nails and Spa off Branham and Almaden near Branham Lounge. Jasmine N&S is cleaner, more attendants, better quality for your dollar and they give AMAZING massages! read more

NEVER AGAIN!!! I am so outraged right now, I can not believe I gave this place a second try. The last time I went here I ended up with a brown infection on my nails under my acrylics, my acrylics that popped off after 5 days!! Like a fool, I give them, another try... just a mani, how can you mess that up, right. They charged me an extra $5.00 for Crackle polish and tried to call it a wrap. They also tried to sneak gel polish on to the woman sitting next to me. I hate it when nail salons put things on your permission and charge you extra. It is disgusting. One of the worst places I've been to. Their customer service was very insulting. Their rude behavior has drove me away indefinitely. Not only that, but their nail polish must have been old, because the day after my last appointment, the nail polish started chipping. To top it off they wanted to charge me extra for using a special nail polish and $5 just to take my nail polish off, they never even told me they would charge me that. I am updating my review of this salon to 4 stars after having an awesome experience with Tiffany. The salon is clean, and although I still agree that the cooking shows on the TVs are a bit loud, I love the overall vibe of the salon. All the staff is always smiling, offering drinks, and talking with everyone. The prices aren't expensive & after having Tiffany do my nails, I was honestly impressed with her attention to detail and workmanship. It was only a manicure and a toe polish change but I was inclined to change my yelp review- that's how GOOD just those two things were. The salon just acquired a new regular customer :-) I suggest if you go here, use one of the names mentioned in these reviews.... like TIFFANY! read more

I've never got my nails done here but for eyebrow waxing it's my favorite place. Ask for Tina. She will do your eyebrows exactly how you want and take time to perfect then rather than rushing through them. Clean facility with comfy waiting couches. read more

I'm updating this to 1 star because of a crappy shellac mani that I recently got. The price is cheaper than the place I normally go to, which is a plus, but my mani started chipping after 2 days!! It almost seems like they thin it out to make the gel last longer, because after only a few days all my nails were cracked and chipped. The should last a LOT longer than a few days. I won't be visiting again, even if it is cheaper. I would rather spend a little more to make sure that my mani will last. read more

We took our 14 year old daughter to get her haircut here. We left to take our dogs to the dog park down the street, we come back to pick her up and the haircut looks great! Bad part was there were some gentlemen in there who were making rude comments and drinking, likely friends of a hairdresser. They made sexual comments to her that were inappropriate for a 14yr old. This place is such a joke, do yourself a favor and find a better nail salon. I went in as a first time client and got a pedicure and a gel manicure. First off the the hose for the pedicure seat had a hole so water was splashing everywhere. Then I went to get my manicure, I wasn't so sure what I wanted so I chose to do french tip, it was so sloppy I asked her to redo and just did regular gel polish. I have never had my nails done so badly. The polish is bumpy and my nails were filed crookedly, she even cut me and made me bleed while using the nail file. Seriously the worst place I've ever been too. This place deserves no stars. read more

Came here frequently for years but it slowly started going downhill. The employees were not happy with the owners and I heard a rumor that they take a percent of the ladies tips. I asked and they confirmed that. Not ok! How dare they take a portion of the tips they didn't earn. It got worse from there when trying to relax and get a pedicure or get my nails done, a friend of Anthony would always be coming in to put beer in the fridge or get drinks. The final straw was that none of the employees had the skill to do much more than a flower on my nails & I was rarely ever able to get the decor I wanted. What a waste! Kim, who works at Ivy, was one of those rare gifts from the salon Gods who came into my life at Best Nails (really crappy salon) years ago, and then POOF, she disappeared. Well she's back folks, and she's at Ivy Nails & Spa. Be sure to visit her, for she is the sweetest thing - excellent at both nail care and waxing (she understands what CLEANING UP your eyebrows means and doesn't leave you with hardly anything there), and she takes her time to give you quality treatment. My definition of quality treatment is listening to what you want and providing you with that above and beyond what you expected; a long, nice massage (not too rough or soft - what's up with that pounding thing some do?); no smudges - she actually looks and fixes "mess-ups"; is not pushy/does not try to sell you more stuff; and SMILES! Please visit Kim! Also, the salon is gorgeous (they even give you wine sometimes :) and clean with appointment services so that if you actually make an appt., that's when you'll get your nails done! read more

My fiancé and I go to Ivy Nails at least twice a month. I always get a mani(gel polish) sometimes a pedi and he always gets a pedi. The ladies are always super sweet and go out of their way to take care of us even when they are super busy. I'm constantly getting black nails and they always push me to get something new (but if I say no they aren't too pushy). My fiancé loves the way they take care of his feet and are super sweet. Wow, this place could potentially be a five star but I'm disappointed by the results of my mani. I came here recently with my mother in law to get a mani and pedi. This place is great in cleanliness and everyone is super friendly. I purchased the 34 dollar pedi and the 15 dollar mani which felt great. It is super pricey because after tip for two pedi's and a mani was 99 dollars. Also my mother in law just received the regular pedi. I'd have to say that it was the best massaging and relaxation. I loved the hot stones and parafin wax. Well the next day my French mani was totally chipped on two fingers. I am so bothered because I have never had chipped paint the next day from any other place I've gone to in the past. I did notice that they don't do multiple coats of polish. So four days later my nails look like crap. I tried fixing it myself but still not looking great. What a waste of money! At least my toes still look perfect but also I've just been wearing flip flops. I'm not sure if I'd come back due to the pricing and chipped paint. read more

Ive always gotten haircuts at Anthony For Hair (Ivy's husband salon right next door) for my family and have always been pleased with their level of customer service. I'm a newer customer at Ivy's but I'll never leave! The salon is always clean, instruments are sterile and opened in front of you. They are kid friendly too, which is a major plus for me. Tiffany took care of my pedicure and my gel manicure and got me ready for my Vegas trip. Tina does my eyebrows and is amazing! All with no appointment! A trip to Ivy's is always a treat! read more
