STAY AWAY!!! I have a 2013 Rogue that I purchased from them in June 2025 and, in April 2026, it started having transmission issues (known issue with CVT transmission). I have gotten the runaround quite a bit from them after dealing with BC Auto and not getting it fixed there when they said it would be and then dropping it off at a place in Kalamazoo and being told it was going to be done on a certain day and it wasn't and, what they do not tell you (so read the contract carefully) is that they can put an important part like an engine or transmission into your car from a junkyard that you have no idea how it has been taken care of, or IF it has been taken care of. They (Ameer Ghazal) refused to let me get into another vehicle I felt was safer because I commute 30 miles one way each day for work and I am the breadwinner of the family. I am beyond disgusted that all they care about is the vehicle and not the safety of their customers. I expressed multiple times that I didn't feel safe, but that didn't matter. I will never, ever, ever buy another vehicle from them (or any member of my family). And, PS - the only other option they did give me was to voluntary surrender (repossess) the car and then I would be responsible for the residual after it was sold at auction for $1000 to $1500 and that my wages/taxes would be garnished. soo this place is a joke! do not get a car from here!!!! i had to get a new transmission for my chevy traverse ( that i paid for out of my own pocket) they took two months to even get back, i called over and over trying to get information on where my car was the lady Tina that works in service kept saying she would pass the word on and they would give me a call back, which they never did. i had to stay on them about my car, they said the tow truck came to get my car to take to another shop to program it after the transmission was put in when really it was at express auto the entire time. it took two months to get my car back and the new trans started slipping after two months and making payments of 380 every two weeks on a 2013 chevy traverse. also Tina was really rude hung up on me time after time just for wanting information on my car. i hate this place.!!!!!!!! read more

I purchased my car from express auto in kalamazoo at the end of October of 2023. I made it known to them that there were some issues that needed to be addressed. The mechanic at kalamazoo looked at it, told me to take it to a different mechanic that they send people to. They told me to take it to the Ford dealership to be diagnosed due to it being a wiring and electrical issue. The problem got so bad that I had to disconnect my battery at night to ensure my car wasn't dead in the morning. The dash lights wouldn't go off, and random lights would pop up on the dashboard. Ford told me there is bad wiring but the parts they need to fix it, were unavailable until further notice. I spoke with Ameer from the kalamazoo location, and he was a complete dick about the whole thing. He told me that he was going to speak with the General manager about a solution for me, but their "solution" was for me to take it to yet another mechanic for another opinon. I have been trying to get in contact with Ameer since, and tried to contact the general manager myself. With no luck. At this point, I would like to be put in something different and have my vehicle fixed. The customer service is unacceptable. I have done research on lawyers for this kind of thing and I will go further if something is not done asap. If you are thinking of going to express auto, don't do it! read more

This is the worst place ever to go to. I have had my car for about a yr and a half. This car has had constant issues and then I'm home sick with covid and was in the hospital 3 days ago with stomach complications. I'm a week late today. They were told this 3 days ago, today they shut my car down. I have two small children at home and I live and hour away in the country. I do not have anyone to help with my chidren, I'm a single mom with no family. If there is any emergency I couldn't do anything if I wanted/ needed to. I'm writing this review for my son. He's encountered problem after problem with his car, a 2008 Ford Fusion. Having the warranty is not helpful if you have to return the car again and again -- bought in Jan 2018 and out of pocket expenses with the warranty still have totaled $965, a hundred dollars each time for anything $100+. Here's the running tally for this lemon of a car: timing belt, tensioner, transfer case, heat gauge, steering suspension, wheel bearing, hub, right front control arm, left front control arm, clunks and squeaks over bumps, shifting hard, sunroof off track, wheel rims and tires, starter, brake calipers, shaft with bearings, tires that leak, wheel bearings. They get their money back and then some with the work that you need to do after you buy it! Its a scam and just takes advantage of people who are being cost-conscious. It won't save you money. You'll also be without your car many weeks of the year because it's in the shop! Go somewhere else, fast. read more

They took advantage of the situation I was in, gave me no chance to read the contract before having me sign it- making me think if I didnt sign right away they wouldnt be able to help me- and ended up charging me close to 17k for a 07 Malibu with a slew of problems. After 3 years of paying on it, the manager began calling me relentlessly assuring me over and over again I owed less than 2k on it and begging me to trade it in for another. After making the next payment I found out that was a lie, still owing over 5k on it somehow smh. If I could give zero stars I would. First off when I got my car I brought it in for maintenance work. I dropped my car off Sunday and was told it would be done Thursday. So 4 days. Thursday comes and still no call, so I call them. They hadn't even started working on it. The rest of the week goes by and still nothing. I go in the following Monday and they proceeded I tell me they said I could get my car until it's ready to be worked on (which they never said). They then told me they were keeping my car and gave me a loaner car because I was such a new customer and had only had the car for a week. They don't usually do loaner cars and said this was the only exception. A couple weeks go by and I don't miss a payment. Then I try to call a day one of my payments are due and no one answers so I figured I would call the following Monday and pay it then. They ended calling all of my (references) that I left on my paper work saying they needed to call ASAP. They don't tell you when you're filling out your paperwork that, that's what the references are for.. never again will I recommend this company or go through them for anything. Unfortunately I'm stuck with them until my car is paid off but I hope no one makes the same mistake I did. Do ANYTHING you can before going through them. Went here to look for a car. As someone who understands car value and sales, I was appalled by the pricing and sales tactics here. A car on Kelly Blue Book was worth $2,700 and priced roughly at $12,997 at Express Auto.There are no visible prices on the cars, which means the manager makes them up for you, as I was told by the salesman. None of the cars were detailed, and are covered in obnoxious stickers. I asked the salesman about the price and information about a car and he was clueless and took 20 minutes to even approach us as we were looking over their vehicle selection. This establishment is unprofessional, overpriced, and feeds on uniformed people who need a car with bad credit. My guess is most or all of the vehicles come from an auction as well. I wouldn't recommend buying a car here, there's always problems down the road, the cars are from auction so you don't even know what your getting yourself into then on top of that you sign for a warranty that doesn't help you fix any of the problems that the warranty should've. I've asked them to help me by decreasing my payment monthly but they refused. The only option they gave me was to give the vehicle back and get garnished for the balance. After threatening me, the next day they ran a card that I did not give permission to run and caused my account to be $233 in the negative. Their answer to that was "we will pay any fees that we caused but we cannot reverse the payment".... WTF!?! Not to mention this is the second time they've don't that. Big mistake going with this company for a "buy-here pay-here" vehicle. I've had an account with them for 8 months now, and regret it every single day. My account is up to date, yet I still get phone calls nearly every day (sometimes 2 or 3 times daily) over the littlest of things. And someone went to my parents house last week and left a note for me to call - even though I've made contact. There is no wiggle room and their account people are hounds. I was out of work for a short period of time and attempted to make arrangements for my payment to be a week late. I was told that if I didn't pay by the next day, my car would be confiscated. Which would have meant at the time of the threat, I would have been two days late on my payment if they picked up my car. FOR THE FIRST TIME. I was threatened several times, so I told them to either wait the week for when I would have the payment, or come get the car. I don't take threats. Period. Apparently they found it in their hearts to allow me to make my payment one week late since I still have it and that was two months ago. My payments have been either on time, or a day or two early since then, but I still have that hound Christine on my butt. Now it's over insurance. I've had full coverage insurance the whole time, but I guess they aren't listed as the Lien holder and now express auto is saying that I owe them for insurance they have placed on my car. Get real, I have FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE through Allstate, not some pitiful little coverage they offer. Also, my car has numerous problems when I got it including the check engine light was on - and was told it just needed reset. It's actually a thousand to fix the problem and guess what. .. it's not covered on their janky warrenty. Not to mention that my car was not cleaned when I got it. I took possession of it pretty much straight from the auction they obtained it from. Nothing was done prior to me taking the car. Not even the inspection they promise. They had to give me a dealer plate for over a month, since they failed to file for a new plate for me also. I'm very disappointed. Poor service all around. I will never suggest anyone go here. I've actually saved 3 people that I know from the horrors of this place. I'll continue to share my story and save others. Do your homework people. The sales agent told us that you do not lease a car here. They give you a loan (don't actually get the money) and use the car as collateral. The situation that they were describing was an $18K loan for a $5K barely working car. I don't understand how this is even legal. Everytime I have an issue with my car I take it to monro's to get evaluated , then Take it to Express Auto service to get the repairs done . Immediately after repairs have been made I take it back to monro's to make sure everything is in order, And I end up with a new issue !
