A mixed experience - did a really wonderful job repairing shoes that were in horrible shape, really made them look brand brand new. It didn't take long, but he told me it would be ready a certain date and then it wasn't (was not a big deal at all) but kept telling me to come back the next day and the next day and the next day. I wouldn't have minded at all if it was going to take a month - the constant coming back was tough on my schedule. Also, just a bit aggressive to be honest - he's truly very nice just kind of aggressive towards customers don't think he realizes it. I don't really have a lot of time to be lectured, I just need to get in & get out. **First ever yelp review** Disappointed - I read reviews and it seemed everyone has had a good experience with Igor. I dropped off suede brown boots for a cleaning and purchased a few other cleaning supplies. The owner said he'd clean and waterproof the shoes. I came to pick up the shoes the day the owner said they'd be ready for and they weren't ready (no big deal). The owner was extremely dismissive and belittling and said to come back the next day. I held off an entire week in case he needed more time and when I came to pick them up, the color of the shoes were a lot darker than expected. When I expressed my concern, the owner says "that's just what happens" when they get sprayed but didn't inform me of this color change beforehand? I expressed concern and the owner was once again extremely dismissive, defensive, and belittling. The owner claimed that he's a professional, he knows what he's talking about (that I don't), and I should be HAPPY he cleaned my shoes. I was honestly a bit taken aback at how the situation escalated so quickly. At this point, the color change of the boots wasn't even an issue and I wasn't asking or expecting a discount. Had the owner had been kind and understanding, I would've brushed it off. I won't be coming back due to the lack of professionalism I experienced. I have never left a yelp review before, and am sad to to be leaving a negative one on a small business - but i just want to share my experience so others will make an informed decision when deciding where to get their shoes repaired. i'll start off with a positive: they got my shoes repaired in 4 hours. i'd broken the strap on a sandal. this had happened before, and at the place where i'd previously gotten them fixed, i had a week turnaround time, but i was charged half of what i was at Express. When i returned to pick up my shoes, the stitching was sloppy -- and it was on the side of the sandal that had NOT broken. they'd preemptively fixed both sides, which would've ordinarily been appreciated, but not at the expense of its appearance. then i was told they would not accept credit cards. had i known that to begin with, i would've not gone there. they re-did the soles -- which i did not need, but was appreciated. i recognize they spent time to do that. but i would've taken not being upcharged -- which i undoubtedly was -- and getting what i actually needed, done well, for the right price. i did express all of this to them in person, and they raised their voices at me to assert that i had been mistaken which side of the sandal was broken and that they'd worked hard to fix both sides. while i don't doubt that, i didn't appreciate being treated that way. i felt like they didn't take my concerns or complaints seriously, and more than that, they were just outright wrong about which side was the original broken side (i think i'd know -- i had to walk a mile in them, disconnected, before getting them repaired!) this is a city teeming with shoe repairs, and there is no need to go somewhere where you won't get the best value and work done -- or where you'll be treated like your opinion doesn't matter, in an incredibly aggressive way. while the service is quick, it's not worth the expense, or the poor customer service, in my opinion. read more

Can't say I liked Yuri, he was a bit rude to me. What I didn't like is how they don't let you know the price beforehand. I went there to repair 2 pairs of my high heels, I only needed to replace the heel tips (the hard rubber part). I showed him my shoes and asked about the price, he only said "sit" and went to the back. In the end, he charged me $25, I think it's ok, not as cheap as some people think. read more
